Bnr32 Gtr Front Calipers?
Ghostrider replied to Ghostrider's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
From my starting point, I have already replaced the stock calipers & 258 x 10mm rotors with DR30 calipers & 290 x 10 rotors on the rear. Initially, I am going with the stock DR fronts 274 x 22 and a 1 inch master cylinder. My rear pads are EBC black & front EBC Green. Brake fluid has not been thought of as yet, but was considering Dot 4 to start with and maybe Dot 5 after the second upgrade. This enquiry is about a later upgrade. As I have a set of BNR32 fronts, 296 x 32 rotors & 4 spot calipers, but just thinking of substituting the 324 x 30 rotor to increase leverage. Do you think I'm doing it right? -
Bnr32 Gtr Front Calipers?

By chance has anyone explored the possibilities of mixing 324 x 30 V Spec rotors with the calipers from GTR 296 x 32 rotors? Just a thought? -

Bnr32 Gtr Front Calipers?
Ghostrider replied to Ghostrider's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Just answered my own question, V Spec use Brembo Calipers, but I'm led to believe both calipers use the same brake pad. Is this correct? -
Does anyone know if the BNR32 GTR Front Calipers are the same or different to the V Spec Front Calipers? Rotors are different diameters, but are the calipers likewise?

Are DR30 & R31/HR31 servo units the same size and configuration. Horizontal mount master cylinder.

In the past 6 - 12 months I have called your mobile a number of times without answer, left messages and get zero reply. Have sent text messages without answers. I contact Kent & he tells me your busy, so I accepted that for the phone & text messages Have sent a couple of PM's without reply, why send an email, although I did mention it. You don't answer anything else so why bother sending an email that wont get an answer either. Now you tell me you don't look at PM's ............ well that's pretty smart I must say! And your wrong! .......... I don't expect a personal reply, just have my problems addressed. My greavances are about sending PM's, quite often a PM can be composed and when it comes to sending, it comes up as "unable to find server" although this specifically is not the SAU sites fault, when you want to go back to resend it, you go back to a blank screen and it's bloody frustrating, particularly if it's a rather longish message. I sent you a PM about it about 3 weeks ago and nothing has happened as it happened again yesterday and again today. Quite frankly it's a pain in the ass and I figure it is this sites problem, as other sites just go back to the original message. Doesn't wipe the screen clean as SAU does. If I have dropped a couple of notches in your ratings, well that's tough, but I call it as I see it and if you can't handle it that way, I can do nothing about it. Cheers, Dennis -

Funky, What would be FLASH Would be some response from Prank that he actually cares something for his site. PM's can be sent, emails can be sent, text messages & land line calls can also be sent and what comes back is nothing more than ZERO. I think that shows shear ignorance on his part. I have voiced a number of technical problems I have been experiencing from the site, yet his responses are ZERO. That tells me "HE DOESN'T GIVE A STUFF" about us or his site. IMHO -

What do you call the engine cover? The top piece that goes between the cam covers or the front that covers the pulleys & timing belt? -
Full set of NEW KONI adjustables, to suit any R30. These are orange Koni's, front inserts still in the box. Rears were fitted to my original project car but never saw the road. Make me a reasonable offer and they're yours.

Sick of this stuff getting in the way. RB25DE engine block complete with crank, rods, pistons, oil pump and bottom pulley. (I think this block would be suitable for turbo as it has the oil & water plugs in the side) Crank angle sensor, 2 x sets of coil packs, fuel rail, injectors (270) loom for same. water pump, VL Turbo Oil Pump, Standard inlet manifold, cam pulley covers, some alloy piping, (thermostat cover) starter motors & maybe more. You looking for something, ask? Make me a reasonable offer on any or all and it's in the mail, or pick it up. Guess engine block should be picked up. FIRST IN BEST DRESSED

Pics Of R30 Skyline Touring Car From Winton Today

To all those true enthusiasts on this thread. I really appreciate Gavin's offer, and most enthusiasts of this model would jump at the chance to ride in the car, but my interests lie more with the car and it's authenticity rather than a few minutes of thrill, as once the ride is over, it's over, yet the car will live on forever. I wasn't merely shooting my mouth off or boasting about the exotics I have had the fortune and pleasure of riding in, but once done it's done, it's over forever. I am a dedicated car enthusiast and in particular the R30 series of Skylines. I might open my mouth before putting the brain into gear and probably come over as a somewhat arrogant bastard, but it's all to do with the passion and enthusiasm I have for the marque. I also think PM's should stay PM's and not be used as a tool by some clown to use as a cheap shot, as they can't find anything more intelligent to say. -

And I think you are the PRIZE #1 F#@kin IDIOT that brings this out of where it belongs in PM's. It's obvious you really do need a manager. Guess your just another fool that likes feeding the flames. -
According to the Nissan Skyline brochure I have the following TARE weights apply. 2000RS-X sedan 1105kg, and coupe 1115kg both fitted with FJ20 engines & manual transmission. add 10kg for auto I would assume the coupe would be a little heavier because of the extra glass in the coupe. Glass is heeps heavier than metal. The respective same in GT-ES L20ET engines is 1150 & 1160kg And an RB 20DET is about 15kg lighter than an L20ET The front to rear difference is about 1/3rd Remember these are factory bone dry tare weights and probably have no resemblance to reality, when considering the scale weight of the Powerplay Imports DR30

Some chance your a blonde ????????? As I see it there has been no WIN or LOOSE in this situation. My first reaction when seeing the pics of this car was "Something very wrong with this car" Would every expert here other than cazz & fury 30 & thebuzz who I have made my peace with, explain how I was wrong. I probably carried it further than I should, but what Gavin has said about the car has in a way vindicated what my opening remark was. IT IS an 86 spec car in 87 Livery. Not anyones fault other than the person that used to own it. But tell me this, in a $100000.00 makeover, one would expect to get the appearance correct and that has nothing to do with the rear wing, body skirts or colour. What its presented as, it clearly isn't. Now please explain why you want to FAN the FLAMES. Archie, See it as you wish, but I have made my peace with those concerned and now we have a mutual understanding about everything. But I guess by the lack of interest, it's obvious you have no idea of what I ask. And I thought it was a very big deal at the age of 9, that someone that turned out to be very important, stopped to say hello to a meager 9 year old car racing spectator. I wonder by what you want to gain from this, you say your not picking a fight, but clearly your trying to fan the flames. JMHO -

No! not at all. I have been branded everything from f**kwit, an idiot, know nothing more than what can be found in Zoom magazine AND I have spoken to Gavin in PM's and told him what I was doing and asked him to refrain from answering the question. Geeez one member even said the letters have been sent to all the forums, so I pose a couple of pertinent questions to everyone and in particular, to the person that likes telling me how he has slandered me to all the other forums. I have been labelled the all bullsh!t know nothing, would be if I could be, would be suckling baby at the time so lets just find out how much of an idiot d!ckhead I really am. Some other member or members, other than Terry Ashwood or Gavin Strongman that can tell me something I don't know and can't be found in this thread or a Zoom magazine. I'm not trying to do anything more than discuss the car in question, I'm not taking it apart, I have made my peace with it's owner and we talk on PM's as this really isn't the place for slanderous slanging matches. But! how many people on this forum can boast that they have shaken the hand of our first ever world F1 champion at the ripe old age of 9? and at a now deceased racing circuit and bought watermelon at the same circuit for 1d/lb. Maybe someone can fill in those gaps too! Maybe a TRUE motorsport enthusiast? World Champion is obviously "Jack Brabham" Circuit: ??????????? Located: ????????? Car Driven: ????????? JUST FOR FUN & an exercise in observation & enthusiat value, can anyone tell me, IF I'm such the idiot & d!ckhead you all want to think. HOW DO I KNOW IT's an 86 spec car for one and in 87 spec livery for the second. And forget about the colour, forget about the rear wing, and forget the side skirts. There are a number of significant changes, some quite subtle, but still changes. Here is your big chance to show how you might know these cars. IF the prize IDIOT knows, surely you should. -

Something else for everyone to understand. WITHOUT a villain amongst us, how would we ever get this sort of information. This is not the FIRST time I have done this and got jumped on and it won't be the last. IF I didn't stir up all this sh!t how would we ever get this sort of information. And for the record, tell me WHERE I 1. Insisted that the LOG BOOKS were in actual fact tampered with, I merely suggested it was possible and 2. Actually made any statement that our Group A History was or has been tampered with. I have bounced the posibility off some senior CAMS officials and they cannot guarantee it can't happen, or hasn't happened in the past. If some scrutineers can make the dodgy decisions they do in motor sport, they would be capable of just about anything, is what I was told. I'm sorry guys, but there are a lot of questionables in this document, a lot of fact as well, but for a person that has worked for GMS as a trades person (educated) and sold a car that he personally restored to our National Museum for $650000.00 they have a horrible understanding of our english languange. Call me what you like, but I will continue to do this, and another thing, I would like to see them stop my CAMS license renewal, as they will find their respective asses in court. I will respond to the letter later, but give me the answer to my question above first.
