  1. your wallet will have to recover after the first few weeks of having it back on the road with current fuel prices until you settle down a little.
  2. also depends if its stuffed the bore. more machining costs and a new set of pistons.
  3. Anything you do with a Motec is going to be hideously expensive. also what ever you think the engine build is going to cost. double it.
  4. the problem is finding a street radial that would get the power down properly to get you into RH9
  5. You will need new big end bearings and new bearings for the crank. If you wanted to run ~400kw you would probably run some decently high lift cams and you need to get rid of the factory hydraulic lifters and get a solid lifter conversion to do that (tomei make them). + associated machining and assembly costs.
  6. 280kw off a GT-RS? unlikely, more 3037/GT3076R territory.
  7. Paul, According to the documentation ( http://www.vi-pec.com/techdata/Vi-PEC_Niss...-GTR_PlugIn.pdf ) it does run as a wasted spark setup. (page 22 of the PDF) Also neither the documentation nor the website says if you can use the launch control with the V66. Does the Anti lag come included as standard? Can it do boost control (if it does is it supplied with the solenoid?) Is it supplied with the intake air temp sensor? (basically what is the unit supplied with?) Finally, do you have a price yet?
  8. New oil pump, new water pump, new bearings, possibly new main studs., new head studs, complete gasket kit, change the cams, possibly a solid lifter conversion. and other bits and pieces. 400rwkw isn't cheap. Will also need to upgrade clutch, possibly gearbox internals, diff. And there is probably more i haven't remembered.
  9. With the oil feed for the VCT, it also supplies oil to the front cam journal. See the following thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Vc...30-t212063.html As far as blocking the feed into the head you can drill it out, tap it and fit a grub screw if you do not want to weld the head. Is that a gates racing belt specifically for the RB30 twin cam conversion? they make one that uses the stock tensioner locations, but the teeth on the belt sit a little close together for comfort for some people.
  10. i wont be able to. i don't have a camera that is decent enough to take a detailed up close picture, and as of tomorrow i will be ~250km from the belt.
  11. Petrol prices should come down a little as the price per barrel has dropped a fairly decent amount recently.
  12. If you are running RB25 power steering and ac just use a ross RB25. ATI only make one for the RB26 (different belts). To rephrase that they only make them for the 26.
  13. ~11:1 maybe a little higher if its good fuel.
  14. apparently the guy hit a camel or something, and we think hitting a roo is bad.
  15. got mine at a discounted price of $40. $6 is nothing
  16. I just picked up a timing belt for mine. Its made by Gates. its an OEM replacement belt with the numbers on it 5425 XS - 90152 x 25mm. fairly inexpensive too at an RRP of $54. Comparing it to a Gates racing RB25 belt i have here there doesn't seem to be anything visibly different (apart from the colour and length) between the two.
  17. So, what is happening this week?
  18. and if you hang around wasteland long enough you learn how to bypass the swearword filter
  19. You were beaten to the punch by the wasteland. See thread below. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wo...ay-t228518.html
  20. An LS1 is capable of the same revs.
  21. i did say a LS something or other with a different diff further up
  22. Possible, however seems unlikely.
  23. Well what other cars can you think of with a 3.9:1 diff ratio
  24. is it a supra? they have a 3.9:1 diff standard, or a LS? engine with a shorter 3.9:1 diff ratio?
  25. -the knock sensor loom has a different plug. (just pull the one off the 32 motor and bolt it on the 33 donk) -the heater hoses at the rear are larger on the 33 than the 32 (I just made a step down inline brass reducer) -Also Use your R32 GTR dash water temp sensor in the 33 motor. ( the 33 sensor didnt register anything on the dash) pulled from a similar thread. or get the engine number and post it in the NISSAN FAST thread, ask nicely and someone will look it up for you.
