  1. It's no secret that R31Nismoid is an utter tosser and a waste of space. Whatever the case is with LNEMUP i'm sure it's stil a damn sight faster and nicer than your car, so how about you get off your high horse and shut the f**k up? Nearly everytime I see a post from you you're spitting out some bullshit talking down on people when you ain't got shit yourself... Shut up or f**k off... Anyhow... Impressive set at the drags there loved the smoke coming out of the fuel flap. Look forward to seeing the new car at the track.
  2. I'm probably blind and missed your post, Chris, but who'd you end up getting to tune your car?? Power figure looks good. Unigroup are awesome. Yavuz is very thorough and provides extremely safe tunes with good power curves. He may not squeeze every last kW out, but he always provides a tune which won't compromise the engine's reliability and will provide a smooth power curve for maximum drivability. Unigroup FTW That said, Jim @ Dart Automotive also provided a nice tune on Brad (blk180/FEAR)'s GT-R recently which I'm impressed by...
  3. Who'd you get your apartment through? I'm currently looking at one through a couple of agencies and would be interested to know more about who you went with, where you stayed, how much etc... if you don't mind sharing that is.
  4. Raw Fugu looks utterly disgusting but if you reckon the deep fried is good I may try it... that said, you WERE drunk, hmm.... hahaha
  5. I'd recommend pulling the film off before getting it tinted.....
  6. And as I said, if he's THAT concerned he should just go buy a Camry or something which already has airbags in it.
  7. If the car was not originally designed and engineered to have an airbag it is an EXTREMELY STUPID idea. How are you to be sure that the sensors will be the right sensitivity for that vehicle and designed to co-act accordingly with the crumple zones on that car? How are you to be sure that the airbag will be fitted correctly in such a fashion that it will not be set off accidentally and cause severe injury (or death?) How can you be sure that the retrofitted airbag will even add ANY safety in the event of an accident?? How can you be sure it will deploy in the event of an accident? How can you be sure it's not going to straight up hit the driver in the face and break their neck because it was not originally engineered to go with that vehicle? I could go on all day. An airbag does not just work on its own to add safety to a vehicle. Simply strapping one in won't make the car any safer. Manufacturers put other factors into consideration when engineering their vehicles with airbags, attempting to retrofit one is more likely to cause injury than it is to save a life.
  8. Wait..... are you male or female?
  9. Retrofitting an airbag on a S13 is the stupidest crap I've heard all day. As is converting it to auto. Forget about it. Buy a Manual Turbo or nothing. From the sounds of things you're better off with a Camry.
  10. That hachi roku is badass... as is that FC Hmm I can see I'm going to have to pay you a visit if you're back there next Jan, Baron, you certainly know all the hot spots
  11. Japanese "hoons" are much more appropriate at picking the times and places where they get up to mischief, from what I've seen anyway. I'd be interested to see the statistics on the amount of injuries and deaths caused by Japanese "hoons" I am pretty sure the numbers would be pretty low. Different country, different culture, it's hard to compare it with Australia directly.
  12. I'll be in Japan for a month next year. Gonna rent out an apartment. Looking forward to it.. TAS should be awesome, and I'm bound to have fun lurking around Tokyo not being able to speak much Jap.. think I'll have to carry picture cards of stuff I want so I can hold it up and point hahahaha
  13. http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...te_DateTime%7C1 4ly sik bro not that cheap but you could probably get it cheaper off them without stereo, wheels, etc and then you have a shiny blue paint job to look at
  14. That STARBO item is a remote car starter.
  15. Rezz is lurking around, I spoke to him on performance forums about accommodation the other day. I'll definitely be in for a meet up next year as I'll be in Japan (most likely on my own) at that time for about a month and want to go to TAS. Will wait til closer to the date to organize details.
  16. You're all missing the point completely. Nobody is doubting SydneyKid is a great guy. We all see him as a great part of the community and appreciate his help and advice. He's trustworthy and in no way a scammer. Nobody ever doubted this. The point to the thread is that engines were ordered 11 months ago and promised on multiple occasions and SydneyKid has not met the deadlines. Customers are getting angry, and these said customers deserve some answers. As I said earlier, either their engines, or their money should be refunded so that they can go get it built elsewhere and get their cars back on the road. You are forgetting there are people who have had no car for almost a year now because they keep getting told that their engine is coming, and it still hasn't arrived. How would you be feeling if YOU were waiting almost a year for your engine to get a simple rebuild, and didn't have your car for that long??? Regardless of who was building it, you would be quite peeved yes??
  17. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but any local tyre shop should be able to do it for you? I usually get my alignments done at the local Bridgestone centre...
  18. 1. No - Too Harsh 2. I'm not affected by restrictions 3. No - I treat everybody on the road equally as 99% of drivers drive like shit regardless of type of license. 4. No 5. No 7. No - I usually do 110km/h where the limit is 110 (I'm still on green P's, supposed to do 100) on the M4 at certain times 8. No - I don't need to slow down because I don't drive like a retard, I'm usually within the speedlimit. 9. Right 10. No 11. Yes 12. Green P's (only for a few more months) 13. Male
  19. I haven't decided on hotels as yet but I'm looking at possibly staying at a "gaijin house" for a few weeks. It works out to like 200-250ish a week to stay there. Exploring the many options available at the moment, should have a decision within the next few days. I'll let you know what I come up with anyway - I've been spending many hours googling and reading away
  20. lol that song is gold But umm.. disgraceful behaviour, you mexicans need to learn to behave yourself
  21. I know of the program he's talking about and it's a good setup, I wish I had it available to me back in school as I used to struggle with maths especially (and still do).. Teachers in schools these days are SHIT and you can't rely solely on them to teach the kids properly...
  22. Which Shinjuku place you going to stay at?? Sounds like you're doing a similar thing to what I'm gonna do. Btw: go pick up one of the Lonely Planet books for either Japan or I believe there's an Osaka one as well - they're awesome for information
  23. XT's are really nice vehicles, why the change? They're not *that* small are they? Stageas are great though, I hope for your sake you can fit into one.
  24. Where in Syd is good for some Yakitori?
  25. TACOS The sandwich of Mexico Ingredients DIEGO'S & GRINGOS white corn tortillas Chopped chicken, steak or mince, cooked with a little salt and pepper to taste, or a few teas. taco seasoning. Finely shredded lettuce, chopped onion and chopped tomato Grated cheese MEXI SAUCE Little oil for frying Preparation Prepare all the fillings ahead Have a covered bowl lined with paper towels standing by (this will be your "tortilla warmer") Use enough oil to cover bottom of fry pan. To prepare on the grill, just spread a little oil on the surface, make sure you grill is not too hot. This is a good way to do a lot at a time. Using tongs place the tortillas one or two at a time in the pan, Cook until limp and a light golden brown, remove, pat with paper towel and place in the tortilla warmer, keep covered. Everything goes on the table, and everyone builds their own. There are any number of ingredients that can be used to make the taco even more special. Try: guacamole or sliced avocado, sour cream, fresh salsa (recipe in entree section), tiny diced potatoes fried golden brown, refried, borlotti, pinto, or kidney beans all of these are frequently used. Other Notes TO EAT - Just take a tortilla from the warmer, fold in half and fill, don't get your tortilla too full as it will split or break on you, its not rude to have 5 or 6.
