going through the want to sell my truck phase again. just had to renew rego etc and sick of paying for the bugger purely so my family and friends have a nice handy truck to use whenever they want! now asking $17K flat with rego etc and brand new $400 worth of batteries. Truck is absolutely mint. I can't describe how well looked after it is. I have every single service receipt for it since brand new and they were all done at an isuzu/nissan dealership and ALL completed in under 10,000kms. It's super reliable and longing for a new trucking home.

S14 With Neo Rb25 Drift Car.
Beer Baron replied to Simon-S14's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
some very nice fabrication work. all the piping looks excellent and very neat little solution to secure the AFM in the pressurised pipework. -
good stuff mate. they should just about re-name 'clubsprint class' to the 'R35 Cup'.... lol.

crap.

let price be your guide to viewing enjoyment! copse at 329 squid seems to be the pick of the bunch for me. awesome track and should be a great time.

What Slave Cylinder Will Help My Situation?
Beer Baron replied to Merc's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
a bigger one will make it feel lighter, but for a given amount of pedal movement you'll get less slave cylinder movement - less travel. a smaller one will be a bit harder to push but you wont have to move the pedal as far to make the clutch slave move the same amount it does now. -
anyone who watches ACA or today tonight should be ashamed! ignore them and eventually they will go away.....

exactly. there is nothing worse than buying a pair or a single turbo set-up and then running it at 15psi... aftermarket turbo kits are generally only happy once you get near 20psi+. running low boost just makes the set-up feel lazy AND give you less power. so all you get is lag and no top end either. far better to go with a smaller set-up and run 23psi or so and it will feel nice and 'urgent' and still give more power than running low boost on a bigger set.

cool. where did you buy the stickers from? link? looking good big boy.

Rb26 Parts For Sale
Beer Baron replied to HOT_R33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
this is my old GTR. it was bone stock when I had it and I bought it in japan where it was also still stock. it was a daily car for me and no mods done at all while I had it, except I put the clutch in while it was in japan still. Can confirm the condition of the bits will be like new. it was always running standard boost and continued to do so while I had it. it was a beautiful car and all the bits off it should be excellent. I also have the same boost controller in my silvia and it's great. quite rare as they were ~$1000 new and are not made any more. the cool thing is if you are using a Greddy Emanage you can interface the E-01 with it and then use it's screen and remote to tune the car as well as the boost controller. it becomes like a power fc hand controller only with a bigger screen very, very handy feature for anyone with an Emanage. -
it's bloody priceless mate!

Time Attack Suspension Setup
Beer Baron replied to Full-Race Geoff's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
first recommendation is brakes. you will need something at least 355mm front rotor with some bigger callipers (bigger pad area) than the stock 34 GTR brembos if you want to compete with cars like you mentioned. -
First Pass 9.9 @ 147mph Full Trim

great looking car. good to see a car so nicely presented. looks like it will go crazy fast when you get back to the track. -
yeah I like the Bell helmets. very good. I'm currently using an AGV rossi replica. lol. I use it on my 100cc scooter to get to work and it's great in the car too. very nice helmet and great lining. gwin: I don't think I am who you think I am. if that makes sense.

well personally i thought the original pricing was spot on considering the type of event and what's included (entry, crew passes etc). but clearly lots of folk complained and they got what they asked for!
-
yeah I agree, I enjoy having my chin and my nose protected. it's a bit shit if you have an accident in a open face helmet only to have a broken jaw and a fked nose.... you can get a great full face motorbike helmet (that will be suitable for car use) for less than $300 these days. specialist car helmets cost more for some reason but there is not a lot between them. just make sure whatever you get meets the current AS.

trust me, a talented driver will go quicker than a hack no matter whether we are talking R35s or a F40 LM. sure the gap may be smaller but there will always be a gap between the guys with talent and the guys with less talent...

relax fellas, your dough is safe with fatz. he'll sort it out. btw the radiators are good. I don't think duncans problem was due to the rad. a rad in the same design as this one is currently used on the Advan/Berry/Hi-octane R34 and was used on their previous Berry/Newman R32 and is in use on lots of other big power track GTRs with great success. they do often take a while to get, and the do sometimes seem to have fitting hassles but by most accounts they are well worth the $ and effort. oh, and it is a good price, a comparable jap radiator like an ARC etc is actually around $1000+ and a good jap air/oil cooler also around $1000. The rad set-up will probably be just over $1K by the time you plumb up the oil cooler etc and will do just as good a job. having a PS cooler in there too is a great idea, especially for GTRs. If I didn't already have a koyo radiator and a trust oil cooler on my 32 I'd be getting one in a heart beat. anyway, regardless of whether you guys decide to go through with the rad or not fatz will take care of you.

ahhh, PWR... why didn't you say so. I won't say they are slow, but if they were running the train system you'd have to leave for work on sunday arvo to be there by 9am monday..... -

you're a madman troy! I don't know how you do it. -
yeah guys it's not cheap, but there has been nothing like it before in this country. The international entries alone make this an event well worth entering. Like John said Ian has put his nuts on the line for this event both financially and his reputation. by the time it comes off it will have been nearly 12months of work for him and the expense of getting international entries, 2 days of track hire, super screen, staff etc. This is our chance to show we want guys to invest heavily in events that are targeted at the types of cars we love. If we don't support it now, don't expect to see one again. We need to make this event a success so that guys like Ian will want to run future events and then we have a chance to help tweak them to be run the way we want. If we don't get behind it now it'll be back to paying $200 for a couple of 3 lap session with nearly 200 cars at a supersprint filled predominantly with cars running 20 seconds slower than we are. Were is the fun in that? we might as well just all buy old alfas and circulate around the 2:10 mark so as not to get our panties soiled...

last I heard he was on his way to ya mum house and hasn't been seen since.... j/k. he is around but I think busy with work and without internet at home (he live in the farken sticks hence I never visit him). I will say though your money is safe. at worst he's blown it all on a gold plated R31 which is bound to be worth big bucks to a collector somewhere. so you'll get it back eventually. seriously though, he's as honest as his wang is long. ok, bad analogy.. I'm sure it's not a delay on his part, probably just getting stuffed around by supplier or some such. he's a selfish lover but a good bloke and will not rip you guys off. give him a week or so and if you still don't hear from the fella send me a pm. he'll talk to me as I have his front diff he needs! lol. in fact he's probably looking for me right now.... -
Koyo. very good quality and reasonable price. fit like factory.
