  1. nice one. must be a ball of fun that one! so come on.... what is it?
  2. yep, I would look at failing fuel pump. or even fuel pump loose in tank. it's quite often very pronounced in 1st gear as you get rapid change in fuel requirement as it ramps onto boost, and the acceleration g's push all the fuel to the back of the tank too.
  3. also, just on the people's champion. champion of what? he hasn't won a WDC. karting champion? badminton champion? snooker champion? or just a champion tugger.
  4. very nice vid. the little lotus' look great. how cool is the lambo though. I would love to give that big beast a steer. and Dane, if you can fit in a 180sx, and Jack can drive a 33 GTR anything is possible mate.
  5. hahaha, the peoples champion my arse! unless your 'people' are spoilt, rich, english wankers. his dad is just as bad and has zero talent for anything at all, except for cashing in those meal tickets. at least lewis can steer a car.
  6. ummmm yeah. somethnig is happening. hold tight people.
  7. yeah, renting at the airport is the way to go. JAL ABC rentals. get the local call only one as the calls within japan will be much cheaper than the one that can call OS, and you can still receive international calls, just can't make any outgoing ones. I had a Tuka pre-paid too and it is quite a bit more exxy even for local calls. The only advantage was I could keep the same number from year to year.
  8. being an admin that has no part in any of this I will give you my advice. often when a member breaks the rules in some small way, rather than raise their warning level I will pm them, or post in the thread a friendly warning not to repeat that before. as such, most people will get 1 friendly warning, then it goes to official warnings etc. no, I don't want to try and interpret what other people have said, but if they said consider this your only warning, generally that means after this if you repeat the behavious you end up with official warnings, suspensions etc. I would suggest just let it go. if you feel you're being singled out un-fairly by all means contact one of the admin team, but bear in mind they will almost always allow the various section mods to run their sections as they see fit. but at least they will impartially listen to your complaint (if you have one).
  9. yeah duncan is right. i've had a fair few GTRs now. bought and sold a couple, but the first GTR I ever owned I still have. that car needed a bit of love when I got it, and i've done lots to it over the years so it would be very hard to part with.
  10. this is awful news how can they be thinking about phasing it out, I was wondering when on earth they were going to phase it in.... I mean it's been out for a fair while now and only available at a small handful of servo's. what did they expect with such limited availability. I still drove the 12kms to my nearest stockist to buy the stuff, and I don't mind paying a premium price for a premium fuel. KEEP THE V POWER RACING. Or at least consider stocking it at a few servos permanently, especially ones near motorsport venues.
  11. bah, no you tube at work, but i'm going to assume that vid is kimi with his pele pearler. JA "kimi, what are you doing, you've missed pele's presentation", Kimi: "I was taking a shit". lol priceless.
  12. hi mate, JGTC is no longer. it's now Super GT. that may help if doing google searches etc. try searhcing Super GT or Japan Super GT, that should bring up the info you want.
  13. that was matt. you're doing the same thing I did. matt owns the car, and drove it to 8th at superlap, and he came down with mark and russ for the test day. Darren built the car, and also drove it at superlap, but wasn't here for that test day.
  14. plus once she's out of the boot that weight saving should be good for another tenth or so.
  15. you crazy kid. that's not the ECU, that's Yumiko. I left her in the boot for you. she was probably shouting "I need some food and water" not "low tyre pressure" as your launch burnout probably woke her up. get in there and give her a feed mate, she had a big barrel of rice snacks and green tea for the trip over but they are surely all gone by now. and she'll be busting for a pee. I thought I told you all 35s I sell come with a free japanese girl? here's the pic I took before we tucked her away in the boot. hopefully she is still in tip top shape when you get her out.
  16. sorry mate, I got your user names mixed up. Yeah, we did not get formally introduced, I did see you a little at the track, and I was at the pub on saturday night, but we never got to really have a chat. Matts car is a credit to you mate, it's bullshit fast and I couldn't personally fault it in any way. It is one of my favourites for sure, no nonsense and the fact that it can reliably punch out the times it does is very impressive. You're right, it can be hard to take people with no clue trying to get in a few cheapies. Sadly it happens a bit too often. We'll have to get together soon either back down here in sydney town, or I may be up in brissie soon.
  17. I wouldn't even bother replying to this bloke Matt. Anyone on here who knows anything about nicely built and super quick cars would know yours is well up the top of the tree mate. I was amazingly impressed with your car, and being that you built it yourself makes it even cooler. I mean f**k, it is super reliable and bullshit fast. It looks great too. I personally didn't witness any oil trail and I can also back-up the fact that it doesn't breathe a single drop of oil out of the cam covers (or anywhere else for that matter). Anyone that counts knows what the score is mate, and you certainly did do yourself proud.
  18. expensive tune.....cheap translation. white man spend money in right place. car run nice, language run like vending machine full of 5 yen coin.
  19. hehe. I knew what he meant! you cheeky devil. it was the Power FC tuning cost.
  20. lol, I can feel the envy. how many of you guys can double your horsepower with just one mod?
  21. I think all that QLD heat has affected your brains. QLD couldn't win a boxing match against a one armed, blind, victorian poofter. sure state of origin. big bloody deal. the only reason you guys won that is because no-one in NSW gives a fck about rugby league. down here all our jack-ass league players are busy 6 days a week getting tanked up, talking about how great they are and going on the odd pack rape adventure. that doesn't leave much time for training and the like. anyway, I would come as it will be fun to make you guys look bad. no need to bring the GTR, or even the silvia. as long as I can get some fuel for me mule, or some gas for me ass, I'll be there. you blokes wouldn't stand a chance. This is my beast in targa spec, but if we are running an open class I can remove the restrictor from the *cough "exhaust" to give a little more flow back there. though to be safe I could bring the horse powered racer too. It was built as a sports sedan of course. currently putting out 1 horsepower to the wheels, but I can easily double that just by buying one more horse. of course use NSW boys don't need fancy support vehicles, I have my buddy asif to drive up with our gear. we'll even bring the spare chassis just in case.
  22. no, the current system is there is no need for the threads to be locked/closed/deleted/whatever. the thread creator simply makes a post stating :"items sold" or similar and then it's all taken care of I wouldn't let it worry you too much.
  23. roy mate, you know you are a sick unit when you can look at a dash cut out and distinguish the outline differences betwen a stack, motec, defi, or MXL dash... seek help little buddy. we are all here for you...
  24. yeah that's fair enough. plenty of GTR will experience some blow by under track conditions as it's a long way from street use/drag use/dyno. it probably just needs some smart catch can work and maybe an external oil return if it doesn't have one. 1:18 is fairly moving so it's doing pretty well for a road car.
