yep. for sure I would say it's a wiring problem. Power FCs seem to be much more sensitve to poor wiring and particularly to poor earth/poor batt volatage. check and double check all the wiring that the SAFC was involved with.

envy imports is in the northern beaches. I deal a lot with them for various bits and pieces. I've never had any mechanical work done there but I've been happy in my dealings with herman. could be worth checking them out, they are in brookvale.

nup, it must be right. he was doing 1:36s in the race. very impressive. the michelein slicks are a good thing too.
-
how did they do in the race? is it possible they f**ked the timing? it's happend before many a time. cause bill pye may be just a rich pig farmer but he doesn't mess about. and i would be surprised to see him in his cup car 4 and a half seconds off the pace. I have to say though peter lucas has really bought things on a long way in the last few years. when we ran robs car in prod sports the first 8 or so spots were always filled by 996 cup cars with the few lotus way down the back a fair way off the pace. though I'm guessing peter has upgraded machinery too as he wasn't in A class before in the lotus he was running.

Drag- Battery Mounting Position
Beer Baron replied to exXU1's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
looks pretty small to me? 6kg and just 8cm thick. ok, me not smart. I think you may be suggesting 198cca is not enough? and need a bigger one? -
I heard that lewis is the result of the WWII nazi science cloning projects. apparently max (oswald jr) mosely resurected the project with the help of his team of nazi hooker scientists to genetically engineer the perfect (but boring) super nazi racing soldier. but something went awry and instead of the blonde hair'd blue eyed super racing soldier they wanted they somehow ended up with a brown boy. his nazi backers were most un-happy with this developement as they are now left with a brown kid as the poster boy for their movement. as a result they leaked footage of mosley with his nazi hooker scientists and that is what has got him in all this bother. I for one find that view to be very credible and I'm sure will hold water under close scrutiny.....

Cant Edit Posts
Beer Baron replied to QWK32's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
so far I have only had one person hit report post and use it to edit their post. and I did it straight away. which is surprising given that I am a mod of quite a few sections. -
I might be missing something, but this just looks like a free add for japanparts to me? I mean, there is no info in this thread? just a link to their shop.

agree with that 100%. we all have far too much to lose by trying to run.
-
yes well, being a pole myself with the whacky polish surnames we all love I can say to the best of my knowledge his name correctly pronouned would be kubicha. though the poms seem to alternate between kubitsa and kubika. meh.
-
and he's polish! I agree, what's not to like.?

I have no idea but 272 10.25 sounds hot to me. will definitely chirp seconds with those cams....

how cool is it to see webber up in 6th in the WDC! and having scored points in the last 5 races with just the one non-points finish this year so far (which was a mechanical DNF). this must be his best start to a season yet by a long margin. it will be so great if he can keep plugging away in the 4th-8th region and keep bagging points he will find himself up near the top of the table at the end. he is only 5 points off 5th place but a fairly meaty 17point of kubi.

ahhh. wakarimashita.

as for kimi, sure it was bitter punishment for sutil. I really feel for the guy. it was made even worse by the fact that millions of people have now seen him cry like hakkinen. BUT it was a racing incident. kimi lost it waaaay before the corner and he was a long way back from sutil, he was not trying to make a move and then lost it, and no way did he do it on purpose to take sutil out. he just f**ked up and came sliding down the hill right up sutil arse. I'm sure kimi is spewing too as those points would have come in very handy. the only winner in all that is webber! GO WEBBER! the wdc is just a few rungs up the ladder mate. go for it. LOL.

I could be blind but I haven't read anyone saying that? except you keep bringing it up for some reason? I can't drive a greasy stick up a dogs arse. if I could I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you clowns that's for sure. I'd be out testing my F3 car today as it's nice weather.
-
yep, me too.
-
*sigh. yes mate forms will just ask you yes or no. if you write yes, but your application was otherwise suitable they will ask you about the incident and ask you to provide character references. and they will always do recrods check so they will know the nature of the offence anyway.

well any day when you put the car into the wall during a race and still win has to be considered one lucky effort. he did drive well too, but safety cars etc all played into his hands. webber drove flawlessly and was super quick at points of the race. his strategy hurt a little but i'm sure they were forced to pit and change tyres as the would have been running out of fuel. 4th was a great effort and he did well to keep his nose clean with all the carnage going on. also is it just me or did james allen have some particularly bad verbal dihoreaha last night? he would waffle on for f**king minutes at a time without so much as a breath. and he was usually talking f**king nonsense while martin brundle could not get a word in edgeways. I mean, he is always pretty bad but last night was the pits. he wouldn't shut up and it's so frustrating when action is happening and you want to know what exactly is going on and he is f**king ranting away like some senile old man about some unimportant little piece of trivia or some other bullshit. either that or he's crapping on about how wonderful louise is and how he's practically senna re-born. f**king senile old fart should be shown the door.

russ was there but he was permanently hung over! haha. just kidding. he had a beer related injury which may have kept him off camera cause he's so bloody vain. -
yep the small batteries with the small japanese sized terminals are available at k-mart. I've bought a couple there for my skylines.

My Results From My Upgrade On My Awesome R33!
Beer Baron replied to evil_weevil's topic in New South Wales
yeah mate, you're welcome to anytime, but I think your beast may be faster than the silvia now! you might be dissapointed with my girly 230rkw next to your far more manly 260... but I guess the little silvia does have a weight advantage. though thomas drove the silvia yesterday and it certainly put a smile on his dial. -
lol. my point exactly. no car I can think of in the world is factory tuned to run on 100RON fuel. not even ferrari's or lamborghinis which are pure single purpose sports cars. and no all japanese fuel is not 100RON. sure they have hi-oku fuel which around 100ron but regular fuel and premium in japan is much less. this whole "skylines are tuned for 100ron or 98ron" is absolutely and old wives tale. as the whole "regular fuel in japan is 100ron". they are not some special country full of super fuel. This was only a problem years ago when they produced cars that ran happily on 93 or or 95ron and we at that time had mainly very poor quality 90 or 91ron fuel with some places offering 95ron as the only premium high octane fuel. those days are far behind us and the fuel we get here is comparable to that in japan.

The Great Day/night Race Adventure
Beer Baron replied to Duncan's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
tough break duncan sorry to hear motor# 11ty cried enough. i know you are a glutton for punishment but maybe think about getting the next one done at a different machine shop.... it can't all just be bad luck.. can it? shame to see you out early too lofty. still you are going to have a ball in that thing when it's sorted. it will make driving your ip spec GTR feel like you have the handbrake stuck on!
