  1. haha, yes I know twice. that's why I said "driven after doing 4 back-flips over the fence" meaning he flipped but then went back into the car and drove it and flipped it again! and that lawn bowls comment is pure gold. F1 will be much worse off without an aussie on the grid
  2. I just want to say. God I love the bathurst 1000. such an awesome track, awesome race. and even if we do just have V8s these days it's still cool as can be. I only wish I was in the hot seat in one of those cars.
  3. yeah, I'm with you. I mean if johnny bogan wants to get up there, drink 30 beers, smoke a joint, then set off a few bungers I say let him have at it. having gotten it out of his system he will probably be a much more productive member of society and not punch my face in when he thinks I pushed in front of him at burger king.
  4. yeah mark is old school irish. not like you new generation fagotty irish. I mean he's driven when sick, drive with spew helmet, driven with his arse on fire, driven after doing 4 back-flips over the fence and just generally drive the most crappy cars in the field. we salute you webber!
  5. agreed. I mean look at me, and you. i guess we could even inlcude duncan as we will need someone to do our testing miles. bloody rich bastards have ruined motorsport for the poor and talented like me
  6. good. a ten place penalty will bring louise back in webber area of the grid. time for some payback mark. get your vomiting, swearing aussie self dialed in, then t-bone the bastard! it seems turning one into a canoe is the closest you will get to a decent car.
  7. just buy an offset bush kit from whiteline or similar. that will give you the camber change you need. no point buying the nismo arms only to press out the bushes and buy new ones. but yes you could fit aftermarket bushes to the nismo arms if you wanted to.
  8. planning a trip 15 months in advance is not only silly, it will be near impossible. it's unlikely an airline will sell you a ticket that early, nor will any hotel give you a price as a lot can change in 15months. also of course they haven't set the date for TAS 09 since they haven't even held TAS 08 yet. I would say 8 weeks is plenty of time to plan a japan trip. wait until this time next year, then go for it!
  9. yeah seto was a top drive who was let down by his machinery in later years. but still ATCC champ and many times a race winner means he certainly isn't a hack. and watching him drive baileys sports sedan around oran GP recently I couldn't help but be impressed.
  10. don't knock seto either ben, have a look at him in the siera in the later 80s/early 90s. he was well on the pace.
  11. there is also an 80gb version out at the moment. though I think USDM only right now. meh. I still think they are pretty good value.
  12. I would seriously looks at HKS GTSS for that money. for around the same money you get: the HKS spec turbos (some argue they are better, some not, but either way they are only small difference) HKS have a steel bearing cage which the garret ones do not (plastic from memory) HKS ones come with heavy duty adjustable actuators and are already fitted to the turbos (garrets come with nothing and to buy seperately is about $300) HKS turbos come with high quality multi layer manifold to head gaskets (garrets come without and to buy seperately is about $120) HKS turbos come with oil line fittings, oil line restrictors, copper washers and some gaskets (garretts come without, though it seems you are looking at a kit with some of those parts) to me the HKS turbos represent much, much better value once you add up all the extra bits.
  13. yeah baby. I'd love to see skaife and seto get a win. plus it would see the value of my seton seat skyrocket! noice. I reckon skaifey and toddles will get the job done. skaife is due for something.
  14. since when did R34 GTRs cost the same as a F430 or murcielago? we must be living in completely different planets. either of those two italians is about tripple what a 34 GTR was new, and more than 5 times what one costs now.
  15. I don't think that's true at all. I have never seen an FIA approved reclining seat. and if they are FIA approved they will display a label state date of manufacture and FIA approval numbers. also FIA approval means bugger all on australian roads.

comercial real estate. called turn 12, or pole position or something.
  17. I forgot to ask, given that the meet was at fuji speedway was there any on track action?
  18. with a strange turbo.... lol A/R and wheel size are not the same thing by the way. basically you now have one of the small n1s but with an odd size wheel in it. could be better, could be worse. hard to say.
  19. he just did that to cover himself. he knew his deal with vettel was on, and he figured if he complained on the radio about webber driving along behind him that when his stop and smash plan went into affect he could say: "well it wasn't my fault i was peeing my panties the whole time that webber would screw up". trust me, this is what happened. lewis is a smart guy.
  20. it's nothing to do with the shifter. sounds like a synchro problem or clutch problem to me.
  21. and no the beanie does not cool the resevoir. lol. it's to soak up spills and prevent those oil spills from starting fires on your exposed manifold. which I would highly reccomend you do something about heat shielding.
  22. nice pics! looks like an awesome meet. behind the grandstand at fuji speedway if I'm not mistaken?
  23. definately hard core singles are much less friendly that hard core twins and tripples. basically to get a given single to hold the same power as a given twin you need a much higher clamp force in the single (as you are working with half the surface area) so hard core singles are generally the worst.
  24. yes be careful. the guy that removed my balancer last to do timing belt change took a few chips out of the edge of the pulley. then when he re-fitted it he didn't do the bolt up tight enough and it slowly came loose which meant the balancer could move around a bit which meant it hammered the keyway. not nice. so the moral is be careful taking it off and do it up as tight as is humanly possible. then tighten some more.
  25. are you really setting the timing, you are you just looking at what the PFC displays? you need to get your head under the bonnet mate and check the base timing with a timing light. check those figures too in the workshop manual, don't trust the compliance service sticker. GTR stickers all say 15BTDC too but they are actually 20BTDC... I don't know 25 figures off the top of my head, but check it anyway.
