  1. doodz, no freaking way is that camera live. I'm looking out my window right now and being only about 500m from the bridge I can tell you it's chocka block with emergencey crews etc. the Cahill is even worse heading north (looks ok heading south).
  2. I can see all the commotion on the bridge from my desk. I can't make out the train but I can see all the fire trucks etc. looks like I'm going to be staying back tonight and having a few refreshments.
  3. http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/high-w...3351353586.html seems it's not train maintenance, but power lines down.
  4. if you are serious about selling your car on here you will need to include some details mate. next time you come on just to spam ads you will be banned.
  5. yeah anything over 10:1 will give you a pretty lively 3 litre. but seriously look at much bigger cams. 264/8.7mm will not be near enough to give it some real power up top. especially look for more lift. for a powerfully NA motor that is capable of decent revs it's not uncommon to go up around 300 degree duration and 12mm lift (not saying you would go that far, but you get the idea).
  6. I heard that mavrick is here and is going to buzz the tower this arvo. I remember last time the US Navy was in town Blitz hooked up with one of the sailors and they had these 'boudoir' photos taken. a bit racy for my liking but nick was pretty into it.
  7. it all sound great but with only 94 octane gas I would be going for 10 or 10.5:1. and definately be looking at much higher lift cam shafts. for a high revving 3 litre NA I would be speding lots of money on the head/cams etc as without a turbo these are going to dictate how much power it makes, and what the engine is like to drive.
  8. trust me, gtst, gtr, 32, 33 whatever. all of the 4 piston sumitomo calipers are all alloy.
  9. I don't think there is anything perculiar to the RB30 engine. the engine builder should have a pretty good idea of what to aim for with the bearing clearances for a performance engine. the piston to bore clearance will most likely be stipulated by the piston manufacturer. remember that any "RB30 specs" you do get will have been written with the intention of the motor being used in either a forklift, a low power low rpm NA, or a low boost fairly low power turbo set-up so they may not be suitable for what you want from the engine/car anyway. and personally I think an NA RB30/26 will be kick ass. but if it were me I would have scrapped the RB30 part and just build a nuts high comp RB26, or maybe even RB28. now you must post some sound files of it when it's done. I want to hear this thing at 8500rpm!
  10. yep, too much duration, not enough lift. buy my cams so I can fly to melbourne and punch ronin_09 in the nuts! lol. I guess if they are really cheap you could give them a crack but there is a shit load of time and/or money in installing the cams, checking all of the valve clearances (and possibly replacing a lot of shims) just to find out that your cams have too much duration and not enough lift...
  11. there are 3 hoses. the top one is vacuum/boost. the one on the side is fuel in (from rail), the bottom one is fuel out (return to tank). and yes you need to check the pressure of the fuel reg. it should be 3 bar base pressure (no vac or boost).
  12. I don't know who sells them, but last time mine were knackered I got grey imports (annandale) to replace them for me. I'm guessing repco etc could probably supply you with an aftermarket one that fits.
  13. i don't agree at all mate. I would say this instance was a murder, not a burglary turned killing. so it's not like someone randomly broke into his house and decided to kill the poor guy. either way owning a gun would not have helped one bit. most people breaking into houses tend to do it when no-one is home, and if you are home, they are not going to stab you to death while you sleep. and if someone did break into your house and threaten your safety of course you are entitled to protect yourself.
  14. what ever you do don't spend too much rebuilding them. Tein HR are the cheapest ones they make (don't think they make them any more either) and aren't so good.
  15. yep, remove the fuse panel cover. it's in there.
  16. don't get me started with the homosexual inuendo. I can go all day... just ask fatz.
  17. south circuit is camp. like you two. it's GP or bust. and I'd reccomend not going to the 20th, it will be packed!
  18. i didn't watch any of the vids (no youtube at worky) but climb dance is one of my favourites of all time. I must have watched it 100 times. driving up near the top with one hand shielding your eye from the sun is gold i tells ya. awesome talent.
  19. for once I completely agree with you there.
  20. yeah, got to love those wheels. lol. well hey ferrari are using them on their 2007 F1 car so they can't be all bad!
  21. yep, hundreds more. I'll try and get some more going this week.
