  1. are either of the 02 sensors working properly? and if they are, how badly are they seized in the dumps?
  2. why not just buy the GTR ones? then you will be sure. I can check the cusco catalogue to see if the part numbers are different, but I'm pretty sure they are.
  3. tom, chris has full R33 skyline cradle so can run the 33 5stud hubs and brakes. if anyone has any photo's of my beer mobile I would love to see them . BNR 32R (the grey GTR with the spider man wheels). Aaron, your car was probably my favourite. Not much more you need. MP3 factory paint, some nice TE37s that's it.
  4. we don't have misdemeanours and felony grade charges here mate. watching a bit too much cops i think.
  5. firstly, well done to all the organisers. it was a great event. secondly. if anyone knows the user names of any of the wankers who were doing their lame little burnouts, and speeding off down the road, tearing up grass etc please pm me with any and all details. it really pissed me me off that people felt the need to show off. most of the offenders where driving pretty bloody ordinary cars too which may have been why they felt the need. I mean show some restraint ffs.
  6. I've had an even better idea! Take the $5600, buy a cheap non registered silvia, or like a series 4 RX7. drive myself up to bathurst on a quiet evening. do some hot laps round the mountain. either crash out in a blaze of glory at the chase, or get if caught I should have enough dough left from the $5600 to make bail, and still have a few bucks to get drunk and make outrageous claims about my lap times. subcriptions to the newsletter is free for SAU users.
  7. what time do we need to be there by?
  8. yeah good work on the organising nick. thanks i have to be honest though, I was a little underwhelmed with the steak. for a $60 steak we could get something pretty amazing at kingsleys. my vote is next time we do a steak night we go there. cost about the same, but i reckon the food is even better.
  9. I'd either go with the nurburgring idea or I'd take the $5600 with me next time I'm in japan. I'd buy a cheap-ish silvia or something at around 200,000-250,000 jpy (around $2K-$2.5K), then I'd get my fuji speedway licence and do some fuji laps. then I'd go to mobara and do some drift. then go to tsukuba and do some tsukuba laps. with the money left over I'd take it to a wrecker and have it chopped in half and sent over here as parts. then sell them. get my $5600 back and go with marks idea.
  10. well basically it's the difference between non vintage moet before dinner, or a 1996 Dom Peringnon. NV moet, i don't call that 'living' lol
  11. hi guys, SOLD pick-up in sydney, northside.
  12. with $10K USD to spend on engine related parts only this is what I would buy: Tomei or HKS 2.8 l stroker kit (include crank, rods, pistons, not sure on bearings, if not, buy some nissan ones) tomei 260 or hks 264 cams with around 9mm lift (tomei have a set which comes with adjustable gears which is good value) HKS 2530 turbo kit tomei dump pipes/extension pipes sard 700CC injectors nismo air flow meters tomei sump baffles mines cam cover baffles nismo fuel pump Apexi power FC new oil and water pumps new clutch (nismo coppermix twin comes highly reccomended) tomei gasket set (includes head gasket, oil restrictor, inlet gaskets etc) 1.2mm head gasket is fine some kind of boost control (whatever you have preference for basically) then if you have money left: Greddy oil cooler kit (duct mounted one) koyo radiator ARC 70mm or 100mm intercooler there are lots of other things you can add that will be nice to have, but not 100% neccesary if you have money left over. this package will give you a reliable, responsive (as can be) 550-600hp. Now start looking and big brakes and good tyres and suspension.
  13. yeah no worries. I guess I do come across like a bit of a wanker. i guess I am one. but to help out and clear some things up. so appoligies if I seem a little blunt. http://www.nengun.com/cusco/pillow-ball-upper-mounts the pillow ball upper mounts, or camber plates DO NOT WORK on a skyline. They are used on cars with what is none as macpherson strut type suspension (silvias, 180s, GTI-Rs and most other povo cars). Skylines have dual wishbone suspension meaning the length of the upper and lower arms is what controls the angle (camber) of the upright. in the other mentioned cars the shock itself is the upright so adjusting it's mounting adjusts camber (and castor). you can't do that in a skyline. you need adjustable upper arms. http://www.nengun.com/cusco/adjustable-rear-upper-arms you are almost on the right track with these, but they are only suitable for the rear of the car. he is having problems with the front end. and to help further. camber rods is not a comonly used term. I think you are combining castor rods and the word camber. there is no such part as a camber rod. in skylines to adjust camber you need one of these: adjustable upper control arm adjustable lower control arm adjustable offset bushes (for upper control arm) any one of those three will do the trick. the most common is to change the length of the uppper control arm either with the offset bushes in a factory arm. or by using a replacement aftermarket arm that can be adjusted in length.
  14. I have one quick question. the $242 price for a manifold (assuming you mean regular 6 cyl skyline manifold). what's the deal for GTRs which have 2 half sized manifolds? Is it still $242 (wishful thinking). Surely it wont be $242 X 2. Perhaps somewhere in the middle?
  15. geez, ease up a bit guys. I drive a cab for a living to make a few extra bucks. been doing night shift for the last 8 months or so, and I'm a pretty good driver on the road. always courteous etc. give me a break.
  16. just in case you don't make it, please enjoy these pictures with my compliments... lol
  17. i've been there. it's pretty sweet. a pretty long way from tokyo though, and a VERY long way if you are coming from Osaka or Kobe. basically the jist of it is, get a train to Tsukuba and then get a taxi to veilside. Taxi wont be cheap though $50+ from memory. maybe more even.
  18. the best and cheapest way is to go nismo afms, and either use the stock airbox (if you have one) or get some apexi pods. zennon, the GTR AFM is a downgrade on an RB20. the only real AFM upgrade for an RB20 is a Z32 AFM.
  19. you suck mona. what happend? were did the love go???
  20. no it doesn't come with a usualy inspection. I would say a compression test would cost between $100 and $150.
  21. no it's not bad. it's good.
  22. yeah for $5K I could fly to japan. buy a cheap skyline or silvia with rego left. go and do some tsukuba laps, and maybe even some fuji speedway too. then finish it off with some drift days. and still have money to get smashed on chu hai afterwards.
  23. this is steve's way of telling you he's not coming to winton.... muhahahahaha. andrew, the tissue joke was funny. but only for the first 2 or 3 times. after that it loses it's funny. trust me. good to see that some new south welshmen are going to down to slay some mexicans. good luck guys
