  1. Paul: Is there anything different with the new Power FC's or are they just re-released with new chips? Also 'STATUS' was talking about there being some trouble with the tuning software communicating between laptop and ECU, any word on this? Sorry if its covered in the FAQ, couldnt find it and just wanted to know
  2. I'm not real familiar with the RB20E, but the gearboxes bolt up O.K RB20DET to RB25DET and vice versa. Photos of the engine?
  3. Tell me you wouldnt have this: There are prettier cars that have come out around the same time as the GTR, but there still a nice car
  4. All 35's are sexy
  5. 32?
  6. Yeah thats what I thought, someone told me they could get one for under $1000, from memory they only do 4cyl manifolds for those prices
  7. I used to do this, I got the plenum as part of a deal so thats the main reason I have one. It does make it alot easier but. Just have to pull the breather pipe and ignitor off now
  8. As title says, I need a Head with Cam caps, don't need it to have anything else in the head as I already have valves, springs, cams etc. Let me know if you can help
  9. I dont think any of them are terribly easy to play with the coolant plumbing under the plenums Honestly though, what are you doing that you think your going to need to play under there. I've had mine in for probably 3 years or near enough to it now, and not had a single problem at all. It's saved me hours on servicing though
  10. Can never be to sure someone told me before I bought the 6boost that It should only cost 850ish but I had to pay more, so was wondering if I was just looking in the wrong places
  11. A 6boost for that price? Or just same style? Well I'm after a new head now. Going to be too much hassel to fix up the 2 cam caps that don't match
  12. The Oil filter is not so bad to get to with the Greddy/Greddy Copy plenums. The water piping underneath (if its the stuff I'm thinking of) is a real pain, but I have never had to deal with it since I put the plenum on It would probably be better if you could do the plenum off the car and make it all neat under there but because mine was in car and I needed to get it back on the road ASAP I didn't get to do it as neatly as I'd have liked It's definatly alot easier to get to coilpacks etc, which if we are honest, is going to happen alot more then playing with the water piping under the plenum (Hopefully anyway ) I'm happy with the ease of acces at the top of the engine now, It looks a bit odd if you have the bonnet up and stand back from the car a bit because there is so much gap under the strut brace There the best photos I could find, if they help at all
  13. Webber shaved before Q3 by the looks of it
  14. Why Hello: Things seem to be coming together all of a sudden, instead of one problem after another lol. Going to work out the compression ratio in the next few days. Going to be alot of screwing around to work it out but I guess you get that Ordered my Hypergear turbo today, looks like it will shoot over 300rwkw on 98 and 350rwkw on E85 (when that gets here) but its a pretty experimental turbo at the moment so just have to wait and see. But I think I'll be less disapointed then i was with the HKS Turbo I'll put it that way
  15. RB20E? If your still on P's your better off saving your money and doing up a 25DET out of the car till you get your opens then chuck the turbo engine in. Will be easier and better for you You will get alot of similar answers to this, its the smartest way to go about it
  16. How far out is the last bolt hole? can you cut the existing mount off and make a new one, or make an adapter for the current mount to get it to fit in the original mounting hole?
  17. I'd say with the amount of heat that has been in this part of the engine, the valves look pretty normal. Probably nothing to worry about as they dont look that bad
  18. Go to Nissan. There not cheap but they are high tensile studs
  19. http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/nissan-exhaust-stud-kit-genuine-nissan-skyline-r33-gts25-gts25t-gts4-r34-25gt-25gtt-25gt4-rb25de-rb25det-inc-neo-p-193.html I don't know how you couldn't find this? Nissan sell them as well individually. Hell I think super cheap even sell them
  20. It won't, trust me. The seat will flex and will feel like crap. Surely it can be modded to fit the last bolt
  21. I got black wrinkle paint from repco (auto barn was sold out of black and only had red) these are the only two colours I saw. I just did the wrinkle black and then painted silver engine enamel over the top. Hopefully the Plenum will look like a genuine Greddy when I'm done
  22. You can never be to sure....... lol
  23. Oh yeah, they are all stamped with their position. But I4 and I2 are tight and the guy I bougth them off had two engines/heads apart at the same time so hopefully they just got mixed up from 1 head to the other and he can find them, will be the easiest and cheapest fix. These things happen but, I suppose when the time comes I'll have to see whats cheaper - a new head or line boring mine Got some Nissan bits today, nothing to exciting but necessary all the same. Had a play with some wrinkle paint today: Think I'll go with this on the intake manifold, but think I'll just keep the cam covers a flat paint job.
  24. Cruise AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) is the fuel ratio when you are cruising along at say 60km/h with minimum load on the engine. If the car runs rich at these points your fuel economy will be shocking (as this is where you will most likely be spending most of your time) Got a dyno graph that shows the AFR's of the power run as well, if this is rich and your flogging it everywhere then this will have a pretty bad effect on economy, but seen as you wont be going for fuel economy while loading it up, i think the issue would more be cruise AFR's
