  1. Thats racing. Could have easily been the other way round, Alonso wins at Spa and is in the box seat if not already World champion this weekend and Vettel is doing the chasing cause someone took him out at a previous race. You cant just say its Grosjeans fault that Vettel looks to be winning the WDC. Wrong place wrong time is just something that happens. Grosjean shouldnt have run everyone off the road, but it happened, and it was unlucky for Alonso
  2. lol was that a serious question......? That sounds a little to big Tried this? : http://www.performancelub.com/
  3. I have anti seize on mine and just bolts. No problems and so easy to take them out If your worried I'd use a spring washer
  4. I thought it was 3.5" cause we were talking about a 3.5" dump. But if its 3" im not worried, makes it easier to get the dump to fit to the turbo anyway
  5. For the power fc or fc edit?
  6. The beauty of the Turbo I have is I can go int gate now and then swap it later on when I can afford to change my manifold to a 6boost ext waste gate item. But ill give next gate a go on this one Head is ready now so should be cc-ing the thing tonight Engine looks good ben. Seems a shame to drift it now
  7. Ive got my new power fc now so if anyone is looking for an ecr33 power fc let me know. Will put up some photos tomorrow.
  8. I wound mine out 1 turn then back in half a turn. Gives the rust a chance to break off. But as said soak them in wd40 etc for a few hours before having a go and undo slowly
  9. Equal length runners and merge collected so exhaust gas gets to the Turbo in equal/even bursts isn't it? Pretty keen for this engine, really hope I can get the ext gate to work but think life won't be so bad if I have to go int gate I don't think Need to trim the Turbo studs as one of them is fouling but other then that I'm very happy with how its looking
  10. Yeah the story will be: "Screw all that other stuff, I'm putting the engine in now" Has it been a year yet? Feels like it
  11. Send me a txt, I have some stuff to do in the morning so should be free after 1. Don't imagine you'll be getting up earlier then that anyway haha
  12. 50mm Swing by tomorrow if your home?
  13. in hindsight yes, but at the time i was going int gate lol. May still end up going internal gate yet for the moment
  14. PM Taleb Tyres (Or might be Ali @ Taleb Tyres) He does the hub rings, and knows his stuff. He doesnt sell Nismos but may be able to help anyway
  15. Can't edit so I will do another post. FYI Paul, if you want to put it in the FAQ, for a version 7.00 Power FC for RB25DET (AKA the new release ones) you need FC-Edit Version 2.130k for the ECU to talk to FC Edit
  16. Perks of having a spare head - Can do a mock up of what the turbo and manifold will look like. Will be a bit of a challenge to get the wastegate on but will see how I go.
  17. For those of you playing at home you need FC-Edit version 2.130k for the new Power FC's to talk to FC Edit The guys at FC-Datalogit were very helpful. So hope this helps someone out one day. I wasnt able to just save my old map and then write all to the new PFC, but it wasnt to bad, just had to write the IGN and INJ table, then do a bit of mucking around in the settings to get them to update. Injector settings had to be changed manually but.
  18. Hi all Have just got my hands on a brand new Power FC (the new releases that Apexi have bought out) and it seems to work fine in the car, but will not let FC-Edit talk to it. I get an error something like: 'FC-Edit is unable to communicate with RB25DET version 7' It then performs a scan and saves it as a file. I've sent this off to the FC-datalogit guys, but I'm a bit unsure how that is going to turn out as I have inherited the FC-Edit I own and am using an FC-Hako. I'm more then happy to register it and pay for software rights etc, but just waiting to see what the outcome is Just wondering if any of the shops/tuners have come accross this yet and if there has been a fix provided yet Hopefully it will help out others in my position also as I couldnt really find any information on this when I searched for it. I've plugged the new power FC in and I'm keen to be on Version 7.00 and not have to go back to my version 2.20E unit
  19. How did you go with this? I put my new one in today and the version 7 power fc wont communicate, but I just had to send a scan (FC-Edit did this automatically) in an email to the guys at fc-datalogit and am just awaiting a reply. But if you have answers before they get back to me it will be great so I can put my tune into the new Power FC
  20. It would be better to re-do all the wiring, but I didnt want to pull the pump out and play around with the plug in the fuel tank cap etc so I just did it like this The pump sounds louder so must be getting some extra voltage, no problems so far
  21. V-band rear? yes 3.5" V-band I will take some more photos in a minute, that was just a quick camera phone photo last night when I got home from work Very nice looking turbo, Not sure if I want to paint the housing or not lol
  22. Splitfires are blue Splitfires are the best Nearly 4 years with mine and not a single hiccup. They will all create spark, but some are more reliable then others
  23. My turbo turned up while I was away at work, didn't even know it was on the way Thanks Stao for all the help you've given me through this process, turbo looks good and can't wait to see how it goes. Now just have to finish my engine
