  1. Cant they do a paint match on your current paint? I've had it done on mine where they have a machine that they put against your paint and it matches it I thought you only needed to blend colours if they were on the same panel. Your getting all new seperate panels painted so I wouldnt have thought it would be a problem if they matched the paint properly
  2. Do you have aftermarket diff bushes? I get a bit of a whine with the polyurethene diff mounts (all 4) at 60km/h Just something to think about
  3. NPC Billet Flywheels = $430 or so. Great product I will say that the NPC clutch I have is great but the Jim Berry is slightly cheaper. NPC is new, Jim berry is second hand. Pro's and Con's as you already know.
  4. Do you know what the cruise AFR's are? Can you set your BOV to 100% plumb back?
  5. Just talked to the guy I got the head off, said the cam caps might have got mixed up which would explain why I have 2 that are tight, look offset towards the intake side a little, so hopefully he can find the othes otherwise the caps will have to get skimmed and line bored
  6. I'll see how I go, Haven't touched the sump yet, it still needs a fitting welded into it for the oil drain but I have to clean the thing first, its a mess and full of sludge etc. Have to work out whats happening with the Intake cam. I have one cam cap that stops the cam from turning, another one is a little tight but the cam still spins, other then that it spins beautifully. Exhaust cam is fine, so not sure how 1 out of 14 cam caps is so bad. Not sure what I'm going to do about it yet
  7. Have to work out CR probably this weekend when I do the dummy build. Will be between 8.5 and 9 to 1 though I have a 1.5mm restrictor and a blank for mine. Wasn't going to block one but after talking to a few people who said they didn't and then had to pull the head off and put one in I thought I should.
  8. They seen you coming haha
  9. Reply from HEL tonight. Kit getting sent out today 10 pounds postage, don't know what you were talking about Ben I thought this was the problem (they hadn't accounted for international postage) Not bad all up $460AUD all up I think it was for the thermostatic oil cooler kit with 19 row cooler and braided lines
  10. Just wish I could throw it all together, Theres gonna be some stuffing around working out CR and working out what head-gasket I need to get as mines going to be a touch to Thin. Think a 1.5mm gasket will be OK Have to grub screw the crank collar on as well. Just got an email saying I have more bits on the way from Kudos so should have them by the end of the week. Still waiting to hear back From HEL UK about my oil cooler kit. I payed them a few weeks ago and it hasnt left and they havent replied to my email, might have to send another. I think I'm gonna have a play with paints tomorrow. Might Try painting my spare cam covers tomorrow, Spray some Wrinkle paint on then paint the EVOKE over the top which is the colour my cam covers are at the moment, Just for something to do... lol
  11. No no don't worry I'm paranoid enough about snapping the cams as it is Just loosely nipped some bolts down to hold it in place
  12. Speaking of manifolds......... Slapped the Poncams in for a little look, might have to do something about 1 or 2 of the cam caps, but other then that it looks pretty good.
  13. I thought the rails were part of the standard seats. They are on the 33 GTS-t anyway I think from memory the S and R chassis have similar mounting points for the seats anyway, Have a look on Nengun or somewhere and check the compatibility of the Bride rails between different cars. Should give you some answers Is there any way you can take your car to the guy who you want to buy the seats off and trial fit them?
  14. Billet Flywheel is also lighter, and the NPC flywheels have cooling channels that direct some airflow through your clutch. Not sure how effective it is but good idea kinda wish I'd just gone a twin plate, but I'm happy enough with what I have
  15. I cant find on here where it says to bridge it out but anyway, You can unplug the switch and loop a bit of wire between the two terminals in the plug from the gearbox and your lights should come on (remember key has to be in the 'on' position) If you do this and there is still no power to the reverse lights then you may have the same problem I had. I had a dirty plug in the engine bay on the RHS of the car (This is in an R33 so not sure if the 32's are different) which was only sometimes allowing a full connection to the reverse lights from the gearbox. Just had to clean the plugs and it was all good But I would check your globes and all fuses as well, check for voltage at the connector for the plug if you dont want to loop it and see what you can find
  16. EDIT: Sorry I linked to valve guides for some reason :S
  17. There is no synchro in reverse so this is why they will be telling you to try this Regardless of what the problem is, drop the oil and put redline lightweight ONLY in the box. I don't like the idea of mixing oils
  18. I always thought the nismo's had one of the best spray patterns and were pretty well regarded that's why I went with them Maybe I will look elsewhere now
  19. 2200's in the SR? What power are you going to be running lol I want Nismo's again but I may settle for something else. Get some cash back for my 555's anyway
  20. Shocks need greasing? :S Or was that supposed to be they were low on Gas?
  21. If you turn your key slowly from 'ON' to 'Start' you will start priming the fuel pump about halfway towards start. It's easier to hear on my car cause I have an aftermarket fuel pump, but it should work if you slowly turn it till you hear the fuel pump prime then stop and hold it and it will continue priming Unless my car is just weird How long did you crank the car for? Mine sometimes randomly takes about 10 seconds of solid cranking to start for some reason. But its only once every so often and its fine before and after this Just remember do not crank for more then 20seconds at a time and allow a good amount of time between long cranks to let the starter cool
  22. Oh damn Either your PCV is blocked/stuffed or your getting compression on the wrong side of your pistons......
  23. Ross balancer and valve springs turned up today, I'm collecting quite alot of parts at the moment, only just realised this the other day before I came back out to work lol. Getting hard to find certain things now. Just waiting on some parts from America now, and mulling over wether or not I should fork out for some 740cc Nismo injectors or just leave the 555cc's for now
  24. I thought the coolant temp sensors were all the same in the Jap cars from that era? Give me a Z32 Vin and I'll check them in Nissan Fast
  25. I worked out my issue with the steering wheel. In 2011 you could just yank the wheel full to the left/right and it would just steer as hard as it could in 2012 if you do this it will understeer, you have to use more of a shallow turn of the wheel the faster you go. My mistake to start off with, and now that I'm used to it I really like it, makes it a bit more real At the start I was struggling on Professional but now I think I might have to go back to Legend. There's a few things that aren't on the game that should be, like being able to watch the practice/qualifying sessions But all in all its am improvement over F1 2011
