  1. Thats why its stalling, not clutch related... Your atmo BOV is causing your car to overfuel when its returning to idle and making it stall
  2. RB20 over SR20? That's crazy talk
  3. How are you liking the NPC Clutch? I was so impressed with mine I suggest one to everyone I know who needs a new clutch
  4. In "TECHNICAL ISSUES" go to "My idle is crappy........." That has the self learn procedure
  5. Different coolants boil at different temps, depending on quality, type etc. Pressure is proportional to boiling point Do you mean you have a 40/60 mix of coolant to water?
  6. VG30 is an engine they sometimes put in Z32 300ZX's Think about that
  7. Isn't it better to have air flowing quickly so there is more cold air hitting the fins. Slowing the air down means the air gets hotter so is less efficient. This is how I see it anyway. Not saying I'm right. But I don't see any benefit from mounting it at an angle.
  8. Yeah see how it goes. Interference fit shouldn't leak at the heat and pressure your cool system is under. Next time use something to seal it but. Better safe then sorry
  9. You will have to pull it back out to seal it properly. I dont see anything helping without taking it out Was it a tight fit when it went in? I had to knock mine in as it was quite tight, and I used a bit of bearing retainer to hold it in there as well. No problems and been on for over 2 years
  10. Is there coolant in the radiator or just water.......?
  11. And make sure you do the idle self learn on first startup after doing init all (getting the unit to basemap). Look for Paulr33's faq in the diy section for how to do this
  12. Exactly OP needs to say what the car is mainly going to be used for. If its just around town nothing wrong with motul turbolight. I use 8100 x-cess which is pretty good
  13. Ill go the other way on this one. I got rid of my standard rb25 bov cause I couldn't stand the sound of it. I got a greddy type rs copy bov, made it recurculate and have had no problems at all. Its legal and I don't have to put up with the gay asthematic wheeze of the standard one. So I get the point of the original post, just do it right if your gonna do it
  14. you can keep your washer bottle with most intercooler kits (piping kits). Mine has a front facing plenum and the way my piping is I had to relocate my washer bottle but I do have 3" piping as well. With my old cooler kit I think I had to cut a mount for the washer bottle but the washer bottle wasnt really effected
  15. Its been good using the link i posted, only gone to normal site once. Every other time has gone mobile. Sometimes I just have to scroll all the way to the top or the mobile page doesnt display (when navigating around threads) but this isnt really a big deal
  16. Mines been OK. Most of the time loads mobile version. This time it didn't but refreshing fixed it
  17. Can supercheap organise a replacement part from SAAS?
  18. Should have kept the one off that engine you gave me lol If you need it back im sure we can work something out, I can always use mine if I have to. Was thinking about mounting a level sensor on it to bring up a warning when oil was getting below the top of the pickup but that probably wont happen anyway
  19. Most coolers for R33's have the inlet and outlet on the bottom so most piping kits will be the same. The difference is usually in return flow or over the radiator (for lack of a better description) cooler kits. The return flow will utilise your standard piping on the passenger side of the car, where as the over the radiator type will require you to cut a hole under the washer bottle somewhere to run an intercooler pipe up there and over the radiator to the crossover pipe Theres less work involved with return flow, but you will probably still require to cut the front bar and maybe even the reo bar a bit. If you are likely to get pulled over and have the police go through your engine bay then I would go return flow, Unless you make the hole you cut for the other type look like its done properly, or get it engineered.
  20. Have ics now For those having trouble try this as your bookmark: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?&setAsMobile=1 Not saying It will work give it a go
  21. 100% agree with this. No problems at all with this clutch and its been about 2 years now
  22. Yeah tried that. ill just put up with it I guess till the ics update then it might work
  23. Sweet as. ill keep an eye out I'm waiting till July now till I get something so if its not far off by then I might just wait. Sounds like it will be impressive
