  1. Might want to take advice from a better mate if hes saying that...... lean means to much air... not to little I have a Greddy copy with no problems
  2. even a set of slotted rotors and good quality pads might be enough to reach the performance level your after. I got my slotted rotors off here (RDA) for $400-$500 for a full set Unless you want to go all out and start buying brake kits. Tyres is another story, never used those tyres so no idea what they are like
  3. ABS doesnt completly stop brake locks. It looks at the front wheel speed's of all 4 wheels and if one is abnormally down on the others it releases some brake pressure then re-apply's it in an attempt to eliminate lock up. EDIT: Not 100% sure how it deals with 4 wheel lockup but it should still apply ABS in this situation. If all 4 wheels are locked up there might not be anything the ABS can do about this? when you say your wheels are screeching, do you mean they are completely locking up or just stressing a bit under hard braking (i.e not breaking traction)? You may just need to practice and get a better feel for the brakes.... you may just be asking to much of them
  4. what's new around here?
  5. Im gonna assume no
  6. Yeah id do this. That way your boost gauge and ecu should always see the same boost. I have my boost gauge and controller reading from the one port (both using map sensors) and they work fine
  7. Is it possible that something has actually happened and your AFR's are off? If you can try and borrow someone else's wideband and see if it reads different. using both at once doing.g a direct comparison would be best. tuning shop might even let you do it for nothing Just in case there is actually an issue with the tune/car not the sensor
  8. More then I know, I'm not going to be here so havent looked into it.
  9. Well te idea with the HKS was I would have a good balance of both, Plenty of people were getting 280rwkw + on pump fuel with rediculous response, go to E85 and they were over 300rwkw But things didnt pan out that way, pretty angry with the lack of support from HKS (through nengun was probably the issue) So its looking likely I'll end up with the Hypergear, and sell my HKS turbo on ebay for more then its worth But I'm waiting for Stao to finish his latest research with the possible next gen of turbos. The amount of evoloution they do with there turbos makes it hard to settle on a turbo when a newer better one will be made soon. Variable Vane turbo would be the go
  10. They dont Calibrate, they have a resistor inbuilt or something like that and never require calibration. All sensors are calibrated before being sold and never require calibration Like I said. Mine has been fine for 6 Months with no calibration. Last time I used an innovate it was free air calibrated before put in the dump pipe, then about hald an hour into tuning started reading 22:1 or smomthing rediculous like that not saying innovates are bad, just saying I've had good experience with my AEM compared to the innovate
  11. Thursday apparently. He was a good guy. would like to have my car there but im going to be out at work
  12. Undecided yet if im def going to upgrade. its either spend $650 on the HKS turbo and get around 280rwkw with good response or sell it and go a hypergear and get between 300-350rwkw with a bit more lag...... I like the response, but its a big power jump
  13. mine points slightly up and in (just about hits the gearbox crossmember) but its about where the instructions say to put it Contact cleaner would probably be alright if you unplugged the sensor, cleaned it and let it sit for a few mins before putting it back in. Probably just better to take it for a thrash but, I dont think contact cleaner would worry it but just in case
  14. Maybe you should go give it a thrash and see if that helps. There might be a carbon buildup on the sensor or something. Alternatively pull it out and have a look at it. See what reading you get when its in freash air Mine has been fine since I put it in about 6 months ago. Reads exactly how the wideband did on my dyno run and the wideband used when it was first tuned. But mine is in the suggested install location right about where the gearbox crossmember is Where did you earth the gauge to? I dont think that will be the problem but check the earth is O.K anyway
  15. What power do you want? RB25 Dyno results at the top of forced induction will give you more help then any other thread
  16. Where is the sensor installed and how have you been driving lately?
  17. Standard plenum is fine for most power goals. Your better off having an aftermarket ecu with a front facing plenum. Only reason i put one on is cause it looks good and makes changing plugs easier
  18. Want a HKS GT2835 KAI?
  19. Who shot them?
  20. Hey Ben That HKS turbo you have, is a GT3071 Pro S?
  21. Yeah saw that Lucky I got good rims...... Oh wait
  22. Just messaged Hypergear about getting a new front housing for my turbo without the anti surge slots and a .82 rear, see what he thinks of that idea Should be alright
  23. Umm that's not your cv joint lol. cv joints are on your driveshaft The boot is to stop dirt getting in. its job isn't to hold oil in the power steering rack. id Say you have a slight oil seal leak there
  24. You Could be this cool but......
