  1. Did you get a non hicas compatible boss kit?
  2. Sounds like you've Bandaided it? Was your pedal alright, as in did it have to much play? Seems weird, never heard of a clutch made for a skyline not engaging properly in a skyline when everything is correct. I'd check for another problem.......
  3. No no no This will do the complete opposite to whats good Will open and leak boost when you up it. It will flutter on boost levels where the spring tension is not overcome yes, but you will loose lots of power when it has enough boost to over come the spring Think about the purpose of the vac line. Provides vac on closed throttle conditions and pressure when boosting to keep the valve closed.
  4. High mount manifold with small turbo = fail It looks silly and doesn't net any gains. Why not just get a good low mount manifold from 6 Boost. Actually worth the money then
  5. standard BOV is good for up to 24psi from memory
  6. So why did you decrease the size of the slave if standard is 3/4 and does the job fine?
  7. Best car on the street? I'm sorry but that's just not true. I love skylines as much as anyone else on here but that statement is a bit much.
  8. Nothings set in stone yet. Will see whats happening Hopefully if it does go, I will have the engine bay prettied up, and alot of the wiring hidden
  9. GTX3071 The T04Z is not the best turbo for an RB25 with those power goals
  10. I suspect with my setup it would run fine with stock ECU but not 100% sure. Theoretically it should as long as its plumbed back. If I was gonna get a Plumback BOV for a stock setup Id get a Kompact series Turbosmart bolt on one. They do one for skylines now.
  11. Yes and Yes
  12. Sound a bit like you are talking about the spigot bush in the back of the crank where your gearbox input shaft goes. You cant push grease in behind the seal, its deisgned to keep pressure in, and you would contaminate the oil circuit in the engine by packing grease in there.
  13. Stock BOV and Pod filter will let everyone know its turboed if thats what worrys you The only reason I have an aftermarket BOV is cause I was sick of the noise of the standard one. Mines plumback and doesnt sound to loud. The standard one just Shitted me off, but its a good item as anyone on here will confirm Exhaust wise. I have an X-Force 3" turbo back exhaust, Mild steel $1100 two years ago when I got it. Stainless ones arent much more. I like the sound of mine, wouldnt hesitate buying an X-Force exhaust again
  14. The guy who does my tuning is really good for this Playing with timing and fuel he got mine from hunting randomly to running perfect at idle all day every day. Will be one of the things I quiz him about when we have a go at my car with the next mod I have planned I need this fixed in mine again, I think cause of the lightweight flywheel its a bit funny at idle at times. I can see how that would be the case, taking a few kilos of rotating mass when the engine is at its laziest point
  15. I want my AEM wideband kit to show up so i can head out for a play with mine I'll try and remember to ask everyone if there keen for a road trip to townsville. When my GF gets her new Polo GTI we want to go to Townsville for a weekend so that might be a good time, even if my cars not there
  16. Gearbox input shaft seal is easy because it has a section the unbolts then you can just replace it out of the box. Just make sure you have some threebond or something to seal the section back up to the box. The rear main should be easy enough.
  17. My box has been out 3 times now, pretty good at pulling them out now lol It's doable for sure so if you want to do it, while the box is already out will be good
  18. Is it stock ECU with more then 8psi of boost?
  19. Nismo spray in a cone shape pretty sure. Can't remember the proper name but it's the same as standard spray pattern. Most aftermarket ones I don't think do this sort of spray pattern, do straight spray I think. Happy to be corrected but
  20. Yeah easiest way to do it. Pull the steering column surround and steering wheel/boss kit off and try and locate the wire on the loom. Run that wire to button. Earth the other side to chassis. Do you have a photo of what the actual problem is? Not sure what the problem is that's causing it not to fit in the first place. Or is the horn button to loose? EDIT: Ahhh never mind. Re-read the first post and it makes sense now. Hopefully won't be to hard to locate the horn power wire when you can see everything
  21. Ummm aren't you basically answering your own question? You said you can't get the horn wires to fit in the hole for your steering wheel. Then use that wire? Trace it back to it's postion in the loom and join into that
  22. Kenworth All-Cool Premix Good shit when it's free
  23. +1 for the NISMO injectors Supposed to be the best for spray pattern and haven't really heard of any issues with them. I know mine are good
  24. I run castrol syntax 75w85. No complaints. Just re-did my gearbox and it's running smoother then ever with this oil. But I get it pretty cheap
