Yeah I went to nissan today, only asked about 2nd and 4th gear synchros but as there the only ones that I'm having issues with The kit I mentioned above for $600 is a good kit, has just about everything bar the gears, shafts, synchros. Ringing them tomorrow anyway so should be able to tell you whats in it. They do synchros as well so will see if they do them for skyline boxes Bit strange they said they didnt do synchros anymore? GTR box isnt that different I didnt think..... Except for the transfer case of course I didnt think there was much difference at all. But anyway, I walked into Nissan today and they have the 2nd gear synchro in stock and the 4th gear one in Melboure. Pricey, but good to know its possible I guess? Will let you know anyway

I've organised all the photos a bit better, so there ready to burn to a DVD. Let me know when your gonna be in town next and I can just meet you somewhere or something would probably be the easiest. Will get off my ass and burn them all tomorrow. Sorting out Gearbox overhaul parts but that should be sorted by tomorrow afternoon. Lightweight Billet flywheel while I'm at it, why not haha

Link: Australian Transmission Components Try contacting them direct. Im gonna give them a call tomorrow to see if they can do synchros cheaper then Nissan
-
Just FYI.... HKS provide the 4" to 3" reducer along with the 3" intake pipe with the kit.

I'm about to order a full kit from CBC Bearings. They say its made by ATC (Australian Transmission Co) I think but they just put the CBC box around it. So they cant get a parts breakdown to show me. But should have everything bar the synchros (he said theres a small chance there might be some sychros in it) Anyway. What I do know is the kit comes with bearings. seals, gaskets, apparently loctite etc and he says that company makes a rock solid rebuild kit for just about all gearboxes so sounds good around $600 so its not cheap but for a freash gearbox its not to bad I priced synchros from nissan today. 2nd + 4th gear synchros for $260 expensive as shit, but I live in Nth Queensland so I'm limited for my choices

alot of the 4" inlet of the Pro S is the port shrouding. That is why it is 4" not 3". The turbo inlet itself as far as I'm aware is still 3"

Think this has something to do with when it was imported. Not 100% sure

Ummm yes they do. Brake lights come on regardless of if your keys are in the car or not

And thats easy to fix, its a 30min job to pull the dash out and remove the light. Did mine on Saturday -
Hypergear is being very helpful atm, so will work something out Continue thread discussion
-
Yeah 18psi is all I'm willing to run ATM. One of the options is to upgrade the internals and try 24psi or something but that means money. What would changing the rear from .6 to .8 net me if anything?
-
pro s..... unless this makes more power next tune
-
Lol hmmm I dunno. It's slightly surging in 4th and 5th ATM when it's getting around 16psi (3000-3500rpm is the range it surges, only in high gears) Anyway, just don't want to make the problem worse by bringing boost on even sooner, in talks with HKS about maybe putting a .8 rear on it but I dunno. Don't know enough about that stuff lol
-
nah standard cam gears
-
yeah but its only pushing out 240ish rwkw at the moment. Its a great street turbo but I was aiming closer to 280rwkw which is what the Pro S does. They told me the KAI superseeds the Pro S. So far it looks like they were wrong, but will see what happens when I take it in for another touch up and dyno run
-
I have 3" Piping with a Greddy copy FF plenum and a GT2835KAI, I hit full boost (18psi) at about 3400psi. But from what I've found the KAI is less laggy then the PRO S and doesnt reach the same power levels. The only reason I have 3" piping is because a friend blew up his engine with the same plenum and I just bought his pipework off him to save me having to get it custom made for my car. It would probably be better with 2.5" but for what I payed I cant complain. Go 2.5" if you can. As said its more then enough for the 2835.

Q About Coolant Lines For Q45 Tb On Ff Plenum
89CAL replied to DJ-Static's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hmmmm... Well I'm not gonna tell you not to connect it then. It may very well be fine but in the off chance its not I'm not gonna be the one responsible for the advice lol.... I live in North Queensland so it never drops below 6 degrees and it rarely drops to that anyway lol so not a problem here..... -
Q About Coolant Lines For Q45 Tb On Ff Plenum
89CAL replied to DJ-Static's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Do you live in a city where your throttle body is likely to freeze up? I havent run coolant lines on my throttle body since I put my Greddy copy on. No problems at all. Its only there to prevent the butterfly from freezing up under cold conditions. Someone might be able to give you a temperature at which this might happen but I figure if the ambient temperature is above freezing then theres no real way the air can get colder from going through the system to cause the throttle body to freeze -
Someone was bound to say it

Aha Its a quick edit, not very good but these are actually really easy to do. But anyway............ I'm gonna start burning some DVD's for everyone with photos. I have a couple of just random shots from around airlie that me and the GF were strolling around taking on friday so I will probably just throw them anyway, even though There not that great lol. Can I get some numbers of who wants a DVD with the photos on it? I will just throw everything on (Original Photos, Edits, RAW's) because theres just enough room on a DVD for everything. Might seperate the JPEG's from The RAW's but as it's pretty annoying to sort through them if your not looking to edit the photos. So everyone let me know who wants what And I'll burn what I need and get them out to everyone OK Go.....

Change plugs, run it at stock boost till you get your mods done -

What boost, What ECU, what other supporting mods? Plugs could help, cant hurt to put them in and see if it fixes your problem. How long since they have been done? -
Will an S15 dash fit? Much nicer
-
if its a fuel pump youll hear it from the back rather then the engine bay...... If its just the stock pump it should be near silent if working properly. But if this noise is coming from the engine bay then its not the fuel pump.. I dont suppose the fuel reg could be partially blocked and making a strange noise? I dont think this would be it but just thinking along the lines of fuel at the moment

This is what I was talking about: But if you dont have a dash..... Maybe something like this..... (I know its in an AE86 and appears to be using a modified standard dash, but its simple enough to make up)
