  1. haha well there you go. Oh well, serves me right for not doing enough research lol
  2. Rob, Check these links out SAU Topic - Garrett GTX Turbos Garrett Website - GTX3076 There relatively new but look like a good thing. I just think you will be disapointed with the 35/40 in comparison to something like these. But hey its up to you. If your not doing anything tomorrow give me a txt
  3. Is that the engine out of the 33? whats the go?
  4. look at getting a Garrett GTX3076, should be a much nicer turbo then the 35/40 what are your power goals? you change your mind more then me
  5. atmo bov?
  6. did you look at the ambient air temp sensor? or the cabin air temp sensor? Check these, doesnt matter if you havent been doing anything to those areas, things happen, wires come loose or go bad. Just check. Search for Air-Con diagnostic mode. Its on here some where but im lazy to find it. You hold down a button when you turn the ignition on and you can see which sensors etc arnt working Otherwise check the hot/cold blend servo to see if its stuck or broken.
  7. In all fairness, most people on here will only react badly when the situation calls for it He's explained pretty well what has happened and people have asked for the line markings on the road which is a fair call. If there was unbroken white lines etc then it doesnt matter what the MX5 driver was doing, you were in the wrong at the time of the crash and that can be proven. Where as the other drivers faults can not. Being she was an off duty officer to as someone has said, she is going to get the benefit of the doubt, which is a bit unfair but just the way it is If it was broken white lines then you have more of a chance of getting out of it As for the P-Plate thing, I dont like your chances of fighting that. They are very picky and annoying when it comes to that, and I think because you were driving the car and its had an accident and one of your P-Plates wasnt on (or fell off? not sure) is not something they are going to overlook Sorry to hear about it mate, and its unfortunate who you happened to run into and the circumstances etc. Hope it goes well
  8. If your going to be playing with other people all the time, get the Wii for sure, there funny/fun to play, Was playing Wii sports the other night with family and GF and playing golf is pretty hilarious. But once you sit down and try and play by yourself it becomes pretty boring pretty quick (I dont have many wii games however) Ive never really got the appeal of Xbox's, Forza I liked but Halo I didnt really enjoy. I guess it comes down to what youve always had cause lately PS3 and Xbox seem to close to call. Both have Pro's and Con's. So I say wii if a couple of people will be playing it often, Or if not, then whatever controller you perfer out of the PS3 and Xbox as that seems to be my biggest dislike of the Xbox because I'm so used to PS3, basically being biased but oh well
  9. Here we go And seen as its Skylines Australia and all:
  10. I'd link to the site where I found my article but it's in a gt5 app for my iPhone and is proving difficult........ EDIT: google helps again http://www.gtplanet.net/red-bull-says-pikes-peak-is-in-gran-turismo-5/
  11. Found an article about red bull talking about getting the fastest time around pikes peak in gt5 despite the fact that it doesn't seem to be in gt5. Think it was later taken down but Has anyone else seen this or read anymore about it? Had been speculated as a bonus track but I'd say it's just a mistake or something being taken out of context
  12. That mother can one reminded me if a photo I took trying to be artsy lol. Grabbed a bottle of red wine and put it on a piece of white paper then took a shot down the wine bottle. It's a pretty generic photo I was trying to do, pretty sure ive seen it in resteraunt menus or something like that. It turned out not to bad considering I spent about 2 mins on it lol I have another sunset photo which I like better then the bridge one I posted. Is of some Fishing boats on the water at some old moarings I guess they are into the sun. It's taken in the same spot as that other sun set one just 40m away or so. Might post it tomorrow, bit of a shame there's some lense flare in it I think I love the first photo with the slow shutter speed and the motion of the lights, looks incredible. Some good photos in here already Will get some snaps of the skyline when my new wheels show up. Shame I scratched my lip parking at a shopping centre with a slightly to high bit of concrete but I guess you get that. Wow that turned into a long post...... Haha
  13. The second one of the sunset is one of my favs. Except for the tree in the foreground and the lifting is a bit off but yeah lol I need to get out and just start shooting
  14. lol you get better injection in diesel after playing with the battery? I'm sorry but that right there is a red light for me. Sounds a bit like the polarizer that the commodores had for a little bit. Or whatever it was called
  15. +1 for 550D Great camera for starting out with. Just to bad I've not bothered going anywhere recently worth taking photos of I'll put one up I took during christmas lunch even though its not very good.... Did a bit of editing but I really need photoshop or something. This was basically just making it a big greener and sharpening up a bit. Im not terribly happy with it but oh well And one from when I first started using it. Again not perfect but was pretty proud for a beginner (no editing just shooting in JPEG not RAW)
  16. I ordered Lenso D1R's in silver, 18 x 8.5 front and 8 x 9 rear. i ordered them cause there similar to the rims i already have, I like a nice 5 spoke wheel, but thats just me.
  17. The power fc wont do that, It will cut the engine if you go over your set boost level (with the boost sensor enabled and connected) What boost controller are you running? have you got it set right?
  18. I think I only managed 420 or so in the veyron, but that was just a practice run to see if it would hit 400 with no other cars on the track. got my 111 feet per second or whatever it is lol so i was happy. Been hitting B-spec lately. My hot headed driver is getting quite good at level 12. Nowhere near as much frustration
  19. Yeah thats fair enough Im just biased lol
  20. I didnt know that last bit... but then again i did mine with a power fc so might be different. handy to know but and FYI when I did my base timing, i could notice the timing on the hand controller dropped from 20 to around 14 when i unplugged the TPS (with it running) so i just ran with that. next time i might try doing as you suggest with turning it off, unplugging tps then revving it.
  21. looks very dodgy. Id be very careful of that. Can you see the other side of the weld (where it might not have been painted) It doesnt look at all like a proper repair job
  22. I think they are h3 but dont quote me on that Why don't you just pull one out And see?
  23. whos gonna be the first to post up there top speed in the X1? imagine it can go pretty fast if setup right
  24. I have a tomei fuel pump, slides and plugs into stock position well and you dont have any of the pickup issues you get with the bosch. Its pretty quiet to The downside however is that they cost about twice as much (or near enough) as the bosch pumps The bosch pump still works well so depends. If youve got the money id get the tomei/nismo/hks (there all the same pumpe from what im told) but if your strapped for cash the bosch will be the way to go
  25. I couldnt get my supercheap timing light to work with the looped wire what i did was find an old ignition lead, pull the coilpack out of cylinder one, put one end of the lead on the spark plug, stick a bolt in the coilpack (one that fits snug but still makes contact) and then run the other end of the ignition lead to the bolt. Then just run the timing light as normal off the lead What you have to do to get a correct reading however is pull the TPS plug off (Not sure which one, just pull both I guess) and it should give you the true base timing. Im not sure what the go is with the looped wire, some people can get it to work others cant. The way I mentioned is the easiest if you cant get the looped wire to work anyway.
