  1. Yeah its fast - unfortunately it looks like something i had in development since last nights dinner and finally made it into production this morning after breakfast. Still im sure there's plenty of people lining up for them.
  2. You will need to replace the entire light im afraid. You get to keep your globes tho!
  3. How about some roller skates with jet engines on them?
  4. I just got round to getting a helmet on the weekend. Are there still spots for this? Can you send us a link to that thread you posted ages ago about preparing for a track day.
  5. oops my point had already been made. too bad you cant delete posts anymore
  6. This sounds right as he was Nissan's test driver at Nurburgring when developing all of the production GTRs.
  7. Yeah I've seen this. It's a pommy movie but it's quite fun to watch. Includes a full lap of "the ring" in a decently worked R34 GTR by a driver who has 10,000 laps of the place to his name.
  8. Guys i want to get my interior retrimmed in black leather. I've been looking through the yellow pages and found a couple of places: - D.A Motor Trimming in Botany - Sydney Motor Trimming in Alexandria Has anyone got any others they recommend or used one of these guys before? Thanks
  9. Wow another one of these threads ?
  10. Fairly sure you are referring to "dish".
  11. Autospeed has a well known grudge against R32 GTRs. His articles are as biased as they come.
  12. Doesn't work like that. A stock as a rock R33 is still a gas guzzler. Change the ECU or lean it out a bit with an SAFC and you're going to wind up with more power and less fuel consumption.
  13. So im interested in coming but as for rules, are helmets required?
  14. As stated you will need lots of the papers from the import process before registration is possible. Your local motor registry will want to have copies of them, this includes de-reg papers, import approval, original sale invoice etc.
  15. Yep. You could do it yourself cheaper no doubt and probably even better and faster. It's more of a enthusiasts dream car than best all round GTR ever. I still rate the Mine's R34 GTR as my favourite street GTR.
  16. Good question - these cars are actually remanufactured by Nismo and given new chassis numbers (R34-Z-nnn). Still, I think there would be significant issues in complying one for road use directly from Japan... Having said that, the evidence for the Skyline R34 already exists and most of that would be the same for the Z-Tune, I dont know if a RAWS could work it that way though. Powerplay would probably have done the homework...
  17. Actually they aren't just any LMGT4's... they are 18x9.5JJ +5 offset in black. Nismo do not sell these rims seperately (unless you have connections i suppose). For comparison, a standard R34 GTR would use 18x9.5JJ +12 offset LMGT4's. The +5's look a little nicer imo. I guess you could just grab a set of +12's and paint them black tho and voila!
  18. I think we need to ban shows like ACA seriously. How they get away with the bullsh1t they do and call it "current affairs" or even "journalism" is beyond me.
  19. An intercooler makes a decent upgrade but if you are afraid of increasing lag and spending loads of money you could go for a second hand R34 GT-t intercooler. It is a straight bolt on upgrade to the R33 gtst but flows about twice as much. You can pick them up on the forums very cheap too.
  20. I would go for the 96 or later model, simply for the facelift they got in the series 2. You will appreciate it more later. Plus the standard airbag(s) and more common ABS is a good point. The 95 has the airbag and ABS on some as well but the front end was looking tired by this time. The series 2 headlights are significantly better imo...
  21. What exactly is the point of these XXX vs YYY threads? If you are asking what would run what stock for stock then sure but as people start bringing modifications into it the thread quickly turns to crap...
  22. I couldn't hear any induction noise on my 34 GTR until i removed the factory wheel arch intake plug (airbox is plumbed into the wheel arch and front bar on 33s and 34s - not sure about that on 32s - they plug the wheel arch hole from the factory for noise emission purposes). After I removed it i could hear a lot of induction noise and quite a loud noise from the blow off valves. When driving up hill on boost if you back off the throttle a little bit but not all the way you will hear the valves firing seperately.
  23. that's a decent size tb you got there
  24. Well I got one and still looking for a place to mount it in the engine bay. I don't like the idea of running giant hoses over the top of the engine like so many cars in Japan do to place it in the washer bottle area. Plus they are shiny and who doesn't love shiny things in engine bays?
