  1. factory power fc settings flash the engine check light at anything over 60 knock. but this can be changed so could be set to anything
  2. the gearing is obviously very different for whatever reasons as your run stops 30-40 k's short of the others even with what i assume would be a higher rev limit? the green line makes the same or very similar peak power without being anywhere near as peaky. not denying your car would haul nicely from 120-180 but i think overall the other 2 would be faster because of the extra torque and progressive power delivery. but it all comes down to what your doing with the car
  3. the blue line would make for the fastest all round car, by a long way over your rb20 too. rpm graph would give you a better idea as it looks like the 20 comes on a lot later than that graph implies.
  4. airflow meter is definately not the same, just the plug
  5. it is related. timing, efficiency etc have no effect on the injector duty itself. regardless of duty the amount of times it fires per minute is only affected by engine rpm. inj duty is the % of time the injector is open in every pulse, ie at 0% it never opens, at 50% its open for the same amount of time as it is closed, so half the time, at 100% its constantly open. its not exact but yes in 4th you would be using around 20% less fuel than you would be in 3rd in your example
  6. plug is the same as rb30. i have one sitting here that i probably couldnt give away...
  7. na its external t4 1.06. the 3 pics towards the end are the housing i have been using previously which is a t3 IW .82
  8. found one. anything in particular you want to see? took shitloads of photos anyway. one more thing i noticed is theres no machined area around the bolt holes for a nut to seat, might have to get into it with the grinder. http://s224.photobucket.com/albums/dd251/JonnoHR31/turbo/
  9. dont even bother with nissan, you'll pass out when they give you the price. just jap or traders as said
  10. will see if i can find a better camera round here
  11. i think the a/r on that rear housing might be a bit small, probs be too restrictive in the top end.... seriously tho. 400bhp or rwhp? big difference, for 400bhp a highflow would be your best bet and would be on full boost before 3500 and off boost again by 35000. 400rwhp from a 2.5L is very unlikely to see full boost by 3500, probably more like 3800-4200 depending on the setup
  12. you mean rich. other way round would make it lean no WA love from caltex...
  13. i purchased directly from their website, cheapest way. as for wideband i use a innovate lc-1 and i bought it off an australian dealer on EBAY. n yer road tune
  14. just received myne yesterday. has ATP cast onto the housing so i assume its made by them. some of the machining leaves a little to be desired and the outlet area looks like a choke point but hopefully it'll work a lot better than the IW housing i have at the moment. some shitty phone pics. thats a 3" v band flange sitting on both sides to give you an idea of the small diameter inside, very different to the garrett housings which are a smooth and progressive opening from the turbine size to the flange size as in the first pic.
  15. i have it and its pretty good. its main limitation is that its connected to a power fc, which is getting rather basic compared to most other ecu's now available. but it does the job
  16. its up to the cops whether they let you do it or not, you have no say in it.
  17. air leak anywhere except the vac line for the fuel reg will not make a car run rich at idle, it'll run leaner. stop telling him he has a boost leak
  18. thats at the crank, which would be around 450-500rwhp. would probably need well over 20psi with a fairly standard head. with water meth a stock block should hold up alright, all comes down to the tune
  19. yer but with their computer system anything is possible....
  20. going to be doing this shortly for my 30det. theres plenty of info around on restrictor sizes with or without vct, but all the info for vct heads include an external oil feed. what size restrictors would work best with this internal feed on a street driven 30det? i ordered a couple off the net and got sent 1x 1.5mm and 1 blocked, worried it might not be enough oil for normal driving?
  21. your comparing the A/R between completely different turbos. 1.15 on that turbo is going to be different to a gt35 (foulcoon) with a 1.15 housing
  22. nothing to do with the coils. stock 31 has the needed resistor(s) built into the ecu before the tacho output. later nissans have it built into the cluster and probably need a different amount. so if you put a later ecu into a 31 you dont have one at all and/or its the wrong amount, hence the need for an external one
