  1. With all the decent stuff out today, you put something on from when T. Rex's were around. I just don't understand? Not having a go at all, each to their own...but really? lol If you want "all the lag", why not just use 1/3rd throttle to 6000 rpm then plant your foot. Atleast then if you have to move quickly you have the choice.
  2. Not talking about your setup. I'm talking about turning the to 10,000 rpm and beyond for a car that's driven on the street. Is 8000 rpm not enough?
  3. All jokes aside, what's the obsession with turning them so damn hard? Is it the noise of it screaming it's head off?
  4. And as for noisy top end with these cams but quieter with the drop ins. I have the same cams, springs and retainers. My top end noise is no louder than any other GTR with say a set of poocams. Are the clearances set correctly?
  5. Totally different turbo.Fatz just went 399 at 22 psi with the same turbo on a 2.6 on E85. Pete went 386 on petrol at 22 psi. Guys seem to see STROKER and expect 92736262718126 kW. Give it a gut full of E85 and wind this thing up. It won't win dyno comps, never will but to drive it on twisty roads, no hunk of shit, gutless, twistless 2.6L "revvy" *rollseyes* GTR wil catch it on the same setup. For the restrictions that it's got/had with the 3 inch dump pipe, I'm not sure what people are expecting. 450 kW on petrol, you're dreaming!!!!
  6. Rip it out and refresh it. All good!
  7. On the flip side, Racepace seem to have great results and reliability from them.
  8. Did your last box have a tinkered transfer?
  9. How long till you blow another box??
  10. Poor little -5's .*chucks them in the bin*
  11. Run the stock one and slightly bend the passenger side. A mate has done exactly that.
  12. Well joeys spring broke in his engine and destroyed it.
  13. That's what I installed, yes. I don't know how it got past me but when the stupid thing was carrying on like a two bob tart on the dyno I went and saw the bloke that put the engine together. That's what the seat pressures were. We ripped them out and put in a camtech single spring and Ti retainer package (which fit SO much better then the previous stuff), put it back on the dyno and issue was gone. 19 psi, 6500 rpm it would float at. Go half throttle it would go to 8000, give it more boost and it would fluff around at 5000 rpm. Best bit was the camtech package was so much cheaper than the jap stuff, fit as it should and did the job. Never tested what the seat pressures were as the swap was done in the car. But it went onto hold 30 psi no problems.
  14. 48 lb on the intake and 50 on the exhaust. HKS Step 2 springs. May aswell have put some rainbow coloured slinkies in there.
  15. Single FTW eh? What about transient response? Boost on earlier between changes?
  16. How does it drive, fatman?!?!!
  17. http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticles/ID/3886/PageID/9248/PZ-Tuning-660-WHP-Civic.aspx 9174. Any info on this this, Geoff? Is this just a shoehorned 9180 cold side with a 8374 hot side that someone has banged up?
  18. Go back to about the 26th-28th of January in this thread. There are a few "reviews" on how it went.
  19. "Reaper" is running a 8374/1.05 on a stock bottom end with step 1 V-Cam.
  20. You most definitely do NOT need to upgrade the BOV's.
  21. Uni group have them The same type of plug used on the trigger connection. They're waterproof and all that shit.
