  1. I always start these sorts of builds but pull the pin when i get scared of the dollars I ditched the idea of single and went to a 26 head so i could easily run 2530s so i could make a nice meaty 350rwkws with a bit of fuel and boost in 4th and 5th i may be able to jump it up to 370-380rwkws for places like Phillip Island and Sandown. LOL i am now selling the 26 head and other bits i had started to collect. Will be interesting to see how a good RB30 goes in an S13. I cant help but be scared of RB30s and be concerned that they have too much grunt/torque for cars trying to go quick. There is that lttle devil on my shoulder that says rotors are so quick at the track as they are light and make good power with revs, but dont turn tyres with low-mid rpm torque. So i m sticking with less torque setup and hoping for some mroe revs and power up top Real keen to see your results!
  2. It is a high mount. I am keeping the turbo in case the 25G is simply too big and a killer of std RB20s Will shoot thru some pics once its off
  3. Next thing i read will be success ballast for teams that won the previous round
  4. Am changing from TD06-20G to TD06-25G and will be using a 6boost manifold with the new setup. So have for sale my 5 year old Greddy manifold and Greddy wastegate. The manifold has had one repair to the top flange where the turbo mounts, and currently has a small little rack in the weld where the 1st and 2nd runners merge. It has been like this since the turbo was last off about 18 months ago and is no worse and cant be audibly heard. Gate, well its a Greddy gate, believe they are calld Type R with only an 8psi spring. Askin $650 for both, currently on car but will be coming off in the net 2-4 weeks when the turbo setup goes on. Located in Melb
  5. Any in car footage Ben. It must be so much fun to steer!
  6. But fark it Shepo, i am looking at your sig the cruising the classifieds, nice and low R32 GTRs look mint!
  7. It will ruin the racing with so many technical freedoms there is bound to be a dominant team with a big gap in lap times between the teams
  8. Hey, i have just about trial fitted and sorted everything, i only have the parts that are coming off the car at present to get rid off:) Or maybe i will need to give them to Ben if he is giving his old girl a hard time
  9. LOL, dont you have a Race Radiators jobbie? Not up to the job? If you need to flog it off i am sure it would be up to the task of my car
  10. Woh. good going. Thats why if i ever did anything like that sort of event i would do it in a 180hp Escort. I am scared just looking at it. I cant believe that Ben can punt the lil GTSt quicker on that sort of road!
  11. Hehe, if you are back in Melb i will have to buy you dinner next week and take you to the strippers where you can spray a bootle of Passion Pop around the place to celebrate Best of all Blue is not black and blue
  12. Does the throttle body come with TPS etc? I am looking for a throttle body at the moment. LOL let me guess twins on an RB26 head with RB30 bottom end ?
  13. BBGTR usually goes to any and every event. He pilots a tasty black R32 GTR with carbon bonnet and silver CE28s. Being an MSCA day he will eb easy to spot as i expect him to be clearly the fastest car there
  14. The fronts have a few chips on them. The rears have some scrapes but the rims have been resprayed with new Volk stickers. Like i originally posted, i purchased a set of TE37s which were 8.5" fronts and 9.5" rears. I grabbed a set of 9" all round so that i could try and make use of the 9" fronts on my original set replacing the 8.5". LOL still with me? Thats why this particular set of rims are the left overs comprising the spare 9" pair which can be used as the rears and the replaced 8.5" from the fronts. I have no idea of a postage price to Adelaide, depending on your offer i will be happy with $100 for shipping. If your offer is borderline of what i can accept then i will hav to get a quote for your postcode
  15. What Rowdy said. If they are getting that hard to move then it could be a good time to rip them off, give them a good clean and put a new seal kit in them. I simply crack the bleed nipple and push the pistons back by hand with the old pad. Some people dont like cracking the bleed nipple but i like it because if the pads are worn it means the pistons are pretty much displaced out of the caliper. So by cracking the nipple you will be bleeding off the darkest and crappiest fluid in the system as its the fluid behind the pistons that boils the easiest
  16. LOL, you are right i dont get it Read what i posted and i think we are saying the same thing, i said dont port to hurt gas velocity, you said dont go for huge porting, instead work on comb. chamber and tweaking inlets etc...improving cylinder filling...is what we said worlds apart???? No doubt you have a better understanding of the dos and donts but i am just going off my understanding of fluids. Thats not fair, my car may only run 12s but i can fall from great heights pissed at a good rate of knots
  17. There you go. I obviously cant say it better myself as i have been offling on for pages! Different cars that are both fun that can achieve similar end.
  18. LOL, its time to rev up more GTR drivers. When i have seen Tim run he has always had odd from to rear tyres that were nothing special. That may not have been the case, i just assumed so. I guessed when you posted that you ran Federal tyres that they were 595s which are good street tyres, people run them in the street class at Superlap, I do agree, that an out of the box GTR with bolt on upgrades and coil overs with 250rwkws is a good thing. The only real downside is the inadequate brakes and how hot they run with coolant and oil temps. But they are quick things...didnt Scotsman do a high 1:21 or something with nothing too crazy in the area of bolt ons and still std turbos? That is my target, i hope to be able to do about the same times as a well sorted std turbo/engine GTR in a GTSt with about the same power, ie 250-260rwkws. I am hoping that the low speed traction advantage of the GTR equals out with the better power to weight of the GTSt and better braking and corner speed I will add that my GTSt did sub 25s with an adpator allowing me to run 324mm rotors, a used turbo setup, Power Fc with the usual exhaust, filter and cooler mods and with off the shelf Whiteline shocks and swaybars. It did a 1.23.1 to br exact using RE55s. So the difference in mods is really the turbo setup and intercooler, easily cheaper then the purcahse price difference between a GTR and GTSt. LOL, i will defend the broken ass POS GTSt to the death Until Aaron, Chris and JFK chime in with the times their near std GTRs did at Sandown and PI then i will go to my cot and have a cry
  19. And for people who do not believe street rwd cars can be quick. Nizpro built a 200SX that did a 1:18.6 8 years ago. Still registered that probably weighed near std becaue of the cage etc LOL, many, many moons ago... from the Maserati website Some familiar names there. Good to see 8 years on that ppl are still playing with cars
  20. Somebody must want some mirrors, just need them gone...
  21. Needing to be picked up from Panel Beaters
  22. Looking damn good for Ben, would be a huge achievement to beat Broadbent
  23. Real pretty brakes for a car that has done less kms then mine the last 3 years. Awesome setup, the water cooling cant be a bad thing for a full weight R34 GTR that needs to stop and stop. Interesting to see if they fit inside your rims LOL i am pumped that your car is looking good for being back on the road
