  1. No, we all see it, but you are the one that is hopefully going to have a stroke over it Massa ddint bang wheels, the team released him, and when required lifted to merge behnd him. Not a great job by the team, but they were fined for it. What bearing did that have to the overall race result. The penalty (fine) was because the team provided the drivers and pit lane with a dangerous situation, not an accident. Also the Kimi thing with debris. I agree, but they appear to have gotten the ruling right. There was damage to the car, but none of it fell off. Though i think he shoudl have been made to pit and remove it. But perhaps they know nore about the integrity of the cars then me?!?!?! But Adam, i see it, i think everybody sees it. I think you are blinded by your passion to the point where you think its the end of the world. Ferrari fans love, it...McLAren fans will hate it. I love it because the championship is now close and will be a great fight.
  2. Adam, mate, think about what you are saying. DC has been given stop go penalties, often he has damaged the car and not been able to continue. But feel free to point out the cases when that has not been true, because i suspect you can find an instance or two. The FIA have been pretty consistant at handing out stop gos for driving offences resulting in clashes on the track or where results have been tainted handing out palce penalties. Fiscal fines have been handed out when drivers have done things on their own that have not affected race results or the team has dropped tools accross lines etc I will also add, the FIA are doing the right thing in not considering how the race results will be affected by the ruling. It doesnt, nor shoudl it matter if the penalty takes the win from Lewis. Its a tragedy for Lewis, but the offence has to have the usual penalty applied irrespective of the outcome. Cant say its too big a shame as he won the race. There was an infringement, they applied the usual penalty, a stop go or in this case the time penalty for a stop go. The fact that it robs him of th ewin should not come into it
  3. Adam, it seems we view race craft very differently. The move, like many of Lewis's passes was a long shot. No driver with the exception of Fisi would let a move like that pay off with a few laps to go. Good luck to him for trying...but without being clearly ahead of Kimi at turn in it was never going to happen. I again sit back and think he had the GP in the bag, he just had to be patient, something that continues to be his weak point. LOL, i will tell you what i was thinking last night after the GP. "Lewis Hamilton isnt a thinker, he is a racer". Even Ricky Bobby wouldnt have tried that move
  4. Effort? I know what you are saying. I try to please women, doesnt make it so
  5. LOL, i have work to do so, my last comment Bloody hell some of you are blind. So... 1.LH was outside into the busstop. AHEAD on the outside. Whats the point of beign ahead when you are not clearly enough ahead to execute the pass. it just leaves you in piss poor track position 2.KR brakes deeper and get a little squirrely. Yep... 3.LH sticks to the outside line which is perfectly fine. Yep... 4.KR tries to muscle LH over. Succeeds in being dirty. Dirty...he should not have been there, you go around the outside then you have to expect the guy on the inside to use the usual line, and if he is in trouble under brakes himself to push you wide. 5.LH takes evasive action because there is NO other choice. Well he put the car in that position, so...he did have achoice. How many passing moves around the outside there have come off? Its was a good move to pressure Kimi, but was never going to be a passing move 6.LH cut the chicane. Yep... 7.LH GIVES THE POSITION BACK IMMEDIATELY and is trailing KR into turn one. Yep...trailing into turn 1? You have to look at all the other laps, how many cars ever got that close to another out of the corner onto the pit...he was there because he cut the corner 8.LH has telemitary to back the speed difference up. I dont debate this, he had to back off to let Kimi past. But he was still graced with a favourable track position even after having backed off. He woud not have been up his clacker if he had taken the normal line coming onto the straight. 9.The gap going into the busstop and coming across the start finish line is exactly the same. Come on Adam, it doesnt work like that. Please go back and look at all the other laps where cars were bumper to bumper into the Bus Stop then tell me how close they were before the start finish line. They certainly werent side by side like they may have been into the Bus Stop, and a car diving up the outside at the Bus Stop, off line and out of position has evern right to lose a few car lenghts as a result. Not be favoured with a better situation 10.LH outbrakes a frantic KR into turn 1. Yep, the track was slippery accross the whole corner and Kimi was perhaps braking a little too much given there seemed to have been more traction then expected 11.GAME OVA. Yep.... a hard fought 3rd
  6. Adam, i lvoe how passionate you are about Louise, but perhaps its you that needs to sit back and be a little more unbiased in your assessment of the situation. I am not going to argue with you, the fact that Lewis punted it up the outside, good luck to him. But when he has to surrender track position as he has put himself in an awkward spot, he cant then mark the road, say how close he was to Kimi, then claim that proximity. FFS, look at how 1/3 of the way down the pit straight he is side to side, there is no way out of a slow corner like that he woudl have even, ever, ever been in that position. I mean do you really think that if Lewis had followed Kimi through the corner he would have gotten the drive out of the corner to pull up alongside him?? Anway, the penalty is harsh, but he did the crime. Perhaps 5 or 10 positions was warranted for next race qualifying pos. But the offence means a stop go so in fairness the application of the 25sec penalty is at least consistant. Teh fiscal fiens are usually when there was no contact, palces/results affected, just a breach of a rule.
  7. Completely different? He was ordered to come in for a stop go for not allowing the other car to re-pass. In this instance the race was not long enough, he gained an advantage by cutting the corner. Out of a slow wet corner like onto the pit straight it is unlikely that Hamo would have been able topull the move. Hamo, is his own worst enemy. Kimi was the pioneer leading, so Hamo only was able to pace himself and judge grip levels by following Kimi. If was only going to be a matter of corners that Kimi would come to a corner and the grip level woudl be different to what he expected. Hamfist is great to watch, becuase he does silly things like this. I am glad to see Alonso is over his early year shocker where he was doign silly things in races. Hamo is good at overtaking as he often puts his car in do or die situations...he continues to be too impatient. Hell only a few races ago he was talking about how nobody will over take me around the outside again. So he knows its his job to defend his line and position. Tough decision, but again, its a situation that Lewis shoudl have avoided. I cant believe i am starting to feel sorry for the guy, he is his own worst enemy. But as Salad pointed out, Alonso was penalised for the same thing a few years ago. So dont be too quick to start the "McLaren are victims" thing.
  8. Again, i think the ruling is a bit rude. But Lewis doesnt do himself any favours but throwing himself at cars in front and taking to run off areas to avoid clashes when tryign to go aroudnthe outside. HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER AFTER THE RULIGN EARLIER THIS YEAR. HE WAS FINED FOR THE EXACT SAME THING.....RIGHT OR WRONG HE WAS WARNED AND FINED PREVIOSULY, SO WHAT DID HE THINK HAD CHANGED IN THE LAST 5 MONTHS!. I love the use of caps lock
  9. LOL, has made my day I feel he would not have gotten the run on him if he did not cut the chicane. For gods sake how stupid is trying to go around the outside into a tight chicane like that. Lewis sees chicanes as fari game for cutting, he has to because the way he throws the car at the car he is overtaking. As Harry said, Kimi was well entitled to use the line he did, it was wet, in the midst of a brakign duel, what the hell did Lewis think Kimi was going to do. Put a big wall there and Lewis woudl not have tried the move, and he woudl not havebeen on the tail for an overtake. I think the penalty is a little tough, but i can see he shoud be fined, and the rule changed to when the situation is re-addressed then they cannot attack for a corner or three. Otherwise you seize some ground on teh car in front in the chicane, rattle their tree then after they have pulled in front of you spring a surprise down the inside. LOL...Hamo will get it back....and lastly, Dennis. In your works, Charlie is anot a steward
  10. Adam, any idea of delivery and price? I am waiting on a delivery price and was expecting to pay for them on Monday (from the US) I woudl love to buy them locally but V-Sport seem to want an unusually high amount for them. I appreciate businesses have over heads, but they are some 65% more expensive.
  11. So, thinking back to Webber. I wonder where he coud have placed if Heikki had a clue. Luckiest guy in F1, did very little in the Renault, picks up one of the best 4 seats in F1, hasnt even had a good weekend that has seen him show real pace...and lucked into the record books as a GP winner. Funny enough, I like the guy and he seems a pleasant fella. But fancy a bloke still learning the ropes of F1 getting that seat But interestingly enough, my earlier comment about how Lewis gained an advantage and passing opportunity by shooting accross the chicane...well i just heard its beign investigated. Probably cop a fine but will laugh my ass off if the whole FIA hate MacLaren rears its head. It was a line ball thing in my eyes, but not as bad as that move earlier this year on i think it was Rosberg
  12. He drove well and took advantage of the weather. He is a massive tool, and it pains me that it looks like he will win the WDC from here unless Ferrari can bag a few 1-2s. Good work by Nick, he stands out as the best racer on the grid, and again scores some very sneaky points. Poor Bourdais, from 3rd to 7th in a few corners And, it was a very cunning move by Lewis on Kimi, but is it legal? I mean the move around the outside gave him the advantage and run at him for the next corner??? But its for nothign anyway as i think Kimi thought he could defend the position to the flag and didnt react to the laps Lewis was running at.
  13. Hope Bourdais pony doesnt call it quits like a few of them have this year! I dare Heikki to have a go at DC...come on DC, take him out. Or even better when Lewis re-joins from his 2nd pitstop stick it up the inside
  14. Go Bourdais, i think i am the only bloke that likes the guy....and really want to see him get a good result. It seems he needs it to retain his seat. Hamilton has some work to do.....and i miss commentary by Brundle. I have Bailey commentating, couldnt drive his old Tyrrel, cant commentate either
  15. Heikki is a farking idiot. He was coming from too far back, on the wet line! And poked his nose in their oinstead of jamming it up there...farkign tool just ruined Webbers chance of a top 5 finish! Farking McLaren....hoping for a red 1-2...
  16. This is going to be a cracker
  17. I have translated page after page but still dont get it. Is the only difference the solenoid, single vs twin solenoid valves for boost control?
  18. I dont get it, dodgy Indiam TV can find the time to broadcast GP2 live but we dont get even a snippit back home
  19. First things first, maybe think about going to one of Kevs driver dynamics days and learning about stopping the car. A little GTSt with that sort of power and no ABS can be tricky to stop, especially if you dont have good tyres on thing. So get the braking and gearchange technique sorted, which the lessons cost money. Once you have some more confidence and you understand what the car under you is doing, or more importantly not doing then you will also havea a far better idea of what you think you need to mod to get it to your lighting. What turbo and suspension do you have at the moment?
  20. Keep an eye out for the Vic monthly dinner at Bells Hotel in South Melbourne. I think its the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Plenty of cars running the Bilsteins and Teins etc etc. I think you will find that you will like the Teins Superstreets. The two cars i have been in with them were great, and there was an R32 GTR that used to run them in QLD, (Giant) and the cr was out of this world quick on them before it went for shocks worth about 15k....so good on the street and hell capable on the track. If i hadnt of gotten my Teins RAs i know i woudl go the Super Street
  21. I think this could be the first time i have ever posted this. But perhaps do a search, there are plenty of good threads on this topic. Basically, i fyou can get your hands on R33 or R32 GTR brakes cheaply enough then its not a bad budget upgrade when used in conjunciton with the best rotors you can affors, some good pads (as much as you can affors) and some braided lines for a freshen up. But you need to budget about $1300 - $1600 which is getting up there....but brakes are important
  22. Weather looks interesting. Lets see how Vettel pedals the STR
  23. Being a broke ass Skyline owner, i have to question is the extra little bit of response and the extra few kws really worth the expense? I mean, have a holiday at Lake Como and have a 370rwkws rebuild, or sit at home and hope you can feel the difference between "fark me dead" quick and "i cant feel the difference" quick but the clock says i am going quicker?
  24. What is the price for the 6 pot 343mm setup? I am pissed off I didn’t buy the Stoptechs a few weeks ago when the Aussie dollar was 95-96cents. Now have to pay an extra $300 for them. So now perhaps the CSC are back in the ballpark price wise?
  25. Fark and I am still on site. Oh well and not finished for another 3 hours. Oh well, guess that means I miss qualifying on Saturday as well:(
