  1. I thought they were thirsty etc hence why you go for the Diesal?
  2. I would suggest going with the likes of a FP HTA 3076 or 3582 as they are known to spool pretty early but still produce big power........ Inb4 Lithium
  3. Hmmmm.... Well i best be shopping for some turbo kits and getting an idea of costs so i can work out if its viable to do this one OR to chase one that is already done.... From what i can tell most of them demand quite a bit extra when they have the turbo kits installed.
  4. Looks good! Nice looking car overall too
  5. Mmmm beaver... We will be running late so no can do on the foodz man!
  6. The owner has had the truck most of its life and serviced it every 5000kms... You can tell by the overall condition that it has been well maintained (in general) over the years but i guess as we are shopping in the lower price bracket we cant expect too much for the $ I really need to drive a comparison car to make sure its not just me thinking its dead slow but being in Newcastle makes it hard as there are fark all car yards.
  7. Thanks for the info... My concern is putting a turbo on an engine that is near 300k already? I wouldn't have thought it was safe to do so? Most of the towing will be on highway so it's not that bad but between here and Sydney I have ourimbah hill and mooney to deal with...
  8. Lololol nope i just read it incorrectly man! Ignore my last comment haha If you work on the suspension and tyres etc you should get some power to the ground, mine is gripping up hard in 3rd now which is good Yep they sound real good! Love the whistle! Awesome choice in ECU That will suck if you have to get rid of it mate! Mine will stay in my possession forever if i get the choice... Too much money invested too let her go!
  9. Updates will be coming soon! Its getting the tune finally done with the bigger injectors
  10. Hmmmm have you got a DIY thread on how to do this? I see gains to be had
  11. Thanks 5500rpm? That is pretty laggy.... Are you sure? The Sensor is great as the car is full flex fuel so i can use 98, E85 and anything inbetween.... Spent? Basically 3 years of everything i had spare lol.... No idea but its a lot!
  12. For the power you want the GTX3071 will still get you there i reckon
  13. If you do then tow it to JEM and they can fix it
  14. Hmmmm thanks guys! I kind of had the feeling it would be a bit of a slug... The guy has had it since near new and it is pretty well looked after but i guess ill keep looking. Most factory turbo ones are around the $20k mark which is above what i wanted to spend
  15. Nope, the GTX3076 was meant to be a quicker spooling turbo etc etc but it has been tried and tested and is not proving to be that way, it makes good power IF you push big boost. The GTX3071 has had awesome results if you look up Mick_o then you will see what i mean, perfect example of a well built streeter! You also have too take the time to check out the HG and Kando threads as well as the RB25 dyno results thread too see that Garrett is only one of the option for you. I love my 3076 and will be staying with that size even with the upgrades. I dont have a standard fuel rail so i cant answer that BUT i am pretty sure they do with the addition of a spacer, there is a thread on SAU about it somewhere.... I have 2000's now and they were a b**ch to fit!
  16. Hey Guys, anyone know of any good 80 Series or GQ patrol Diesal for sale? I've been searching for a while and looking back through this thread it looks like i am on the right track... The 80 series we test drove on the weekend was nice and clean, 288km with a lot of extras, asking price is $15k which i was planning too offer $13.5ish.... It seemed really slow though, i know its a big wagon and i know its N/A but does anyone have any feedback on this? It seemed to slow on hills which is going to be worse with my fat ass 34 behind it...
  17. Wow that is one impressive collection!
  18. Mine has held 23-24psi for a while now ... GTX will be the wrong choice for your power goals as they seen to act more like a 35r than a 3076... You have so many choices of turbo for your power goals...
  19. In the tags man - Areas in postcode 2145: Girraween Greystanes Mays Hill Pemulwuy Pendle Hill South Wentworthville Wentworthville Westmead
