  1. You shouldn't do as the tank should be shielded from the interior. Do you have room under the car?Have you had a look at this: http://aeromotiveinc.com/2010/01/fuel-pumps-and-horsepower/ ?
  2. Cool so are you back to 1.1mm spark plug gap now?
  3. Tein's site says they will custom make dampers for you so if Nengun or someone says they are discontniued its possible you can get them to order. I have Stagea specific springs in mine (with Nismo=Bilstein dampers).
  4. GTT brake set up is quite good - check the rotors and if they are within the limits of wear maybe a light skim and have a read of the brake threads for some pads suitable for your use. Braided brakes lines and a master cylinder stopper are nice and fluid probably hasn't been changed so get some Motul RBF600 or similar.A set of heavy sway bars will transform cornering.
  5. Painted mine black - nice they come in black now!
  6. Have you got a chart showing how much your pump's flow drops off with increase in pressure? Quite a few people have experience with the limits of a single intank Nismo but it will be different for your pump. Have you got it directly wired with a heavier cable from the battery via relay? What is your power target? You can put 044s intank if you want. You could put a surge tank under the car if you don't want one in the boot but if you're not going to track it don't bother.
  7. Have you had a look at these Ray? I will be getting some next year: http://www.aemelectr...smart-coil-1240 or available from NZ (maybe cheaper freight than from US these days) c/w mounting bracket (still need to make loom and get leads): http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/electronics/auction-535557442.htm or from their website http://www.nzefi.com/products/
  8. Post up some pics. My Nismo branded struts are actually Bilsteins so would be a steal at $100. In fact I'd take them anyway if I weren't so far away.
  9. Just checked - and no was another Aussie ebayer and i paid $400 and he is not selling now so maybe he was a reseller - was over a year ago and they are still working fine!
  10. There's a big 500 Mercedes V8 racing here with a radiator in the boot - lots of extra piping and things to go wrong! Have you got as decent oil cooler? Maybe get a bigger one?
  11. I can't help with the piston fit but Neo is the better head and will more easily get higher compression.
  12. Strangely enough a guy in Tauranga just sold his Stagea and bought a Legnum TT but his was just a DE so no competition really.
  13. ^^^like he said gate is supposed to get priority over turbo - like this:
  14. They were over $1000 a set from Nissan! I bought an ebay set and they look genuine and seem to work ok. I heard they came from a bankrupted Nissan dealer in the US though why they would have huge stocks of them I don't know. I hope they are not fake but are working so far at 20psi and 280kw. See what happens with a bit more power. On another note a Stagea owner says his Yellowjackets broke down after 18 months!
  15. Did you get them from the US or Japan (I believe they are made in the US)? Do they plug straight in or do you have to use leads? And what was the cost for 6?
  16. Yep taking the pics. I was starting to think 3in was not enough. My muffler is a cannon type straight through brand new but narrows to 2 3/4 in. My cat is also brand new a 5in body with 3in inlet Venom so I hope that's not the problem. There is also a resonator in the middle which i have always assumed was 3in inside but now I hope its not so I can fix my problem by changing that too. I can't afford a whole new exhaust ATM so I will change the rear cannon for a full 3in for now and the resonator if necessary and start saving for a 3.5 in system.
  17. The good thing is almost any mod is legal here so long as you can get it certified as being done properly by an approved engineer. If you have a bigger than stock engine (RB30 in my case) and or 50% or so more than stock power you also need driveshaft loops in case the extra power breaks the universals and the driveshaft digs into the road and flips the car (it happens!). There are plenty of uncertified cars running around but if the testing station notices it they will not issue a Warrant of Fitness without which you can't get rego. My car should comply in all respects but the driveshaft loops are a pain (seats and carpets out ) as I haven't even got a concrete drive to work on but am moving soon and will have a drive and a garage again!
  18. Splitfires or possibly Yellowjackets but none of the rest has a track record. Or look at getting some of these (my next coils): http://www.aemelectr...smart-coil-1240 or with the price of freight fom the US these days may be cheaper to buy them from NZ http://www.trademe.c...n-535557442.htm or direct from their website: http://www.nzefi.com/products/
  19. With no cert therefore no wof therefore no rego not game to try it on the street - will do when next on the dyno! Actually my focus over the Xmas hols will be getting the driveshaft loops on (required for cert) and getting the car all legal!
  20. HDi intercooler + Greddy copy plenum (not sure if they do one for the Neo) + stock throttle body $1000 If you've got money to burn spend it on tyres brakes and suspension.
  21. No one is slagging your dyno result. What they are saying is read the sticky thread at the top of this page called Rb25 Turbo Upgrade, All Dyno Results that reports what other people have done so you can see what is required to make your target power. e.g. you don't need a ff plenum but if you really want one just use your stock throttle body. You don't need a new head gasket ot fuel pressure regulator or exhaust manifold or cams.
  22. double post
  23. OK so 2psi is the max. In theory 3in should be ok for 350kw or no? 3.5 in systems are hard to come by I would probably have to spend $1000 to get one made. I will get a proper 3in cannon and if that doesn't work I have a resonator which I have always assumed is 3in but I 'll check that next and if that is ok then sadly i might have to swap out my 5in Venom cat for a pretend cat.
  24. Well I'm getting 5psi without the silencer and hope to improve that with a full 3in muffler but what would you consider an acceptable number?
