  1. What Jonathon said - the Neo head has a smaller combustion chamber than the R33 so you need to take that into account when calculating your compression ratio. Should be fine with the extra capacity of the 3.4 block - Neo is the superior head. Look forward to seeing the result!
  2. Yes I'm there (in NZ). Buy now is optional and this vendor hasn't offered it. Yes people can put in a last minute bid to top you. What I would do is decide the most you want to pay ($120, $150 or whatever and then enter that figure and tick the box that says "auto bid" and then place bid. It won't show up and your bid will remain at $100 unless someone outbids you. If someone bids $110 a bid for you at one dollar more will automatically be made ($111 in that case) and this will continue up to the maximum you have selected. If no-one else bids you will still get it for NZ$100 (AU$79.19). Postage should be about $20 -$25.
  3. You really need to adjust your timing as well. Here's the link in case Juzzy.melb doesn't buy it:http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=528314079
  4. I had a GCG hiflow - was able to tune out the surge with my Jaycar boost controller!
  5. 3076 would be good (pref with external w/g) - also would not require highmount...just a 10mm spacer
  6. New FPR won't help.
  7. I guess the options are 1. Its faulty 2. Your car has coincidentally developed a new problem 3. one or more connections are incorrect or you haven't set the tabs right for the Stagea 4. one or more connections are bad (loose etc) If you don't already have it I have the SAFC manual as a word file or the ecu pinout if you need that.
  8. Contact Stao from Hypergear and tell him what you have and what you want and he will sort you out a price. And if you are not going manual anytime soon consider buying this: http://www.trademe.c...079&permanent=0 I ran my highflow with an SAFC and SITC for a while til I got my manual box. If you want a decent tune you need to be able to adjust timing as well. (Let me know if you need help to get it)
  9. Your turbo is a bit big for your goal. Hope you have a .63 rear on it. And as above don't bother with cams.
  10. S Seen this car (not an RB30 but)?http://www.trademe.c...px?id=520124510
  11. Your turbo is good for around 450awkw so probably doesn't do a lot low down.
  12. ^^^like he said best bang for buck. You can max out your afm/injectors but will need some way of tuning e.g. Greddy E-manage.
  13. Here's mine with stock bottom end and stock R33 head (estimated 8.2:1CR) and Greddy copy FF plenum and GT35/40 (max revs about 6800) - it feels like it has heaps of off boost torque to me but not enough power so I am getting some custom cams (high lift but not too much overlap) and a very thorough tune.
  14. How about you post up your chart for a start?!
  15. Put your location in your profile. If you live in a one horse town go ask your nearest tuner (not bush mechanic) what he can/likes to tune. if you are in a big city and spoiled for choice think about a Link/Vipec.
  16. If you have an awd attessa car you would not want to mix 40 and 45 profiles.
  17. I buy them second hand for $200 a set which is about $1000 less than I was paying for semi-slicks. The NZV8 series guys ditch them when about half worn. You would have to see what is available in Aus but even new they could be comparable to semi slicks price wise.
  18. Here's a pic of my engine bay with the Greddy copy FF plenum. You will see that the place where the throttlebody bolts on is at a much sharper angle than the RB26 one.
  19. Sorry didn't realise they were different - but they still might have some. A lot of people were into it about 3 or so years ago - maybe email or phone them
  20. I have a Greddy copy. It certainly improves access to the coils and plugs but annoyingly it is not as straight as the RB26 one and so takes up a lot of room. Also between that and my M/C stopper there is not enough room to relocate my oil filter so I have just gone for the cooler only. It is still a pain to change the filter.
  21. What we need is a volunter to sit in the back of (my Stagea would be easier than) a Skyline with a dial gauge attached to the end of a strut bar which is only bolted at the other end and observe the range and direction of movement relative to the opposite strut tower!
  22. R31 sizes e.g. SKYLINE R31 EXCEPT GTS 1986 - 1991 Rear Diameter (in millimetes): 260 Height (in millimetes): 60 Number of stud holes: 4
  23. ^^^ as above - is the pump in good nick but bearings gone? Or pump destroyed?
  24. Pretty sure that's a "no" ( I got the bolts when I took the clutch off the GTR) http://www.skylinesa...nversion-guide/
  25. If you don't know much your first call should be Google and then ask here if you need clarification. So NA is naturally aspirated i.e. non turbo.
