  1. a1rm pads for the rear? they are supposed to be pretty grippy
  2. fitted up some new rear brakes last night they were the 2pot rears off an r33 onto an rs4s (s2) had to trim the surround, but only around the callipers, the new rotors were only a tiny bit bigger (~2mm) and only a tiny bit thicker (~2mm max) so the new rotors fitted under the backing plate without modification i'll post photos when i find them as for brake lines, i just removed the olive from the calliper and used the stock lines, i'll get custom ones made up one day how many ppl have had a spongy pedal after changing their brakes? are you meant to bleed the brakes with the ignition on for the abs?
  3. when i did it someone suggested a technique to use and i dodn't brake anything if the dump bots start getting tight, just go back the other way for a turn or so and give it another go add some wd40 when that happens too and wd it well in advance too

  9. don't see why it won't work then and yeah, if it starts going soft, it will just give you lower boost
  10. probably start with something thicker drill down the centre, tap it then lathe some off the surface then tap then cut off what you need

  13. what metal is the spring made of? exposing steels to temps over 200°c can alter the internal structure of the metal and will affect the "strength" of the spring

  16. find the actuator it will be on the side of the centre consol traditionally (r32-c34) its on the drivers side level with the steering column but being an m35 it could be elsewhere unplug, clean and replug it, that may fix the problem next step would be to remove it, disassemble it and re-solder the joints inside as they are prone to going dry and brittle in earlier nissans failing that, get a second hand unit failing that, a new unit
  17. well that sucks that place in japan who can tune them may be interested in selling their software/hardware to a tuner based in oz that would be worth a try im sure if you found out a price, put it to a tuner here and then got a group "tune" organised (agree for x amount of ppl to get a tune)

  20. sougi only comes in 10w40 i'll take a video sometime when i do a cold start next its not tappet noise cos neo heads have solid lifters but its a similar noise. bit of a whirr and a soft rattle i think i just need to re-do the tolerances (100k km service is coming up)

  23. my 31 silhouette (factory cone type lsd) would both turn the same way i had my stag on stands the other day and they both went the same way too... how do you check for an aftermarket lsd? or did the rs4s's come with gtr spec diffs? ?
  24. sougi helped with my lifter noise - r34 spec rb25 (neo) nulon was good at first then got noisy when cold i still get a bit of top end noise when cold but it goes away after 20 secs max
