  1. sounds like your ecu can't see the afm mate make sure you have cut the afm wire, plugged it into the safc and you have the output from the safc going back into the afm wire you cut you splice all the wires apart from the afm one
  2. i'll be up for it if im back i should be back by about the 10th
  3. i might have to get you to help me out over summer, its one of the many things that is on the shopping list when i get back
  4. got some different wheels downgrading to 17's but they are wider and clear the r34 brakes without spacers (win) and also 8"+35 instead of 7.5"+42 will post some pics when i clean them, they look ok but i'll get something better soon
  5. c34 standard rims are different to r33 standard rims gtst 4 pots and brembo 4 pots aren't much different really
  6. looking good mate whats the specs on the front mount? its pretty much exactly what i'm looking for have to hack up the front bar/reo much?
  7. Brembo callipers aren't much bigger than stock skyline brakes Find someone with stock r33 wheels, I'd be surprised if the don't fit

    R34 Ecu

might not be able to get there till friday mate took my exhaust off to get the hole welded up and the guy doing it for me is a bit busy
  9. r32, r33, r34 gtr rims will all fit i think anything off an r32,33 or 34 gtst, gts25t or gtt will fit as they have 4 pots standard also should be able to fit 300zx wheels and 350z wheels
  10. yeah but only the autos have a button that locks the power to 50/50 think its called sycro or something you'll probably want something that outputs about 0.0v at idle and only goes up if the rears start moving faster than the fronts (get the car up on 4 jack stands and you should see it change
  11. pearl paint is actuall matte with a clear coat over the top of it so just check that its clear coat safe and don't take too much off i reckon the most abrasive you need would be the swirl remover
  12. would be a lot easier but i think the tractive torque is affected by gear ratios, tyre size and a few other things so it may not be an accurate comparison
  13. got new tierod ends and someone is welding up the hole in my exhaust sometime this week
  14. you realise thats tractive torque and the only way to measure engine torque accurately is on an engine dyno? so its not really 1000Nm still an impressive result, should be even better if you guys get your ecu re-mapper sorted
  15. if your getting it straight from gw then they are probably charging you rrp check with a distributer, they should sell it to you at wholesale price, i.e. the price that autobarn etc pays for it
  16. pretty sure just jap sell them mate
  17. tracking is a lot different to road use anyone tracking a car for any significant period will be using heavier than normal oil the greddy oil that you can get is for track use and its a 15w50 i think its worth a go but i use 20w50 in my 31 and its done over 200,000kms
  18. can you post that up in the "goods on oils" thread? i think everyone would benefit from that sougi s6000 is also going to be discontinued soon but there is still a full tank of it at their facility apparently there will be a new product to replace it only think i have against that oil is it sounds a bit heavy
  19. i know i keep saying it but sougi s6000 is good for most applications its a 10w40 which is perfect for australian conditions, its got a lot of detergents in the oil so it will clean it out the motor nicely and its cheap and australian made
  20. i paid $68 from the distributer here in tas they have a guy who comes down from ulverstone (east of devonport) and drives to launceston a couple of times a week he just met me where convenient you could also call up a distributer, find out the price, go to supercheap and get them to price match it!
  21. my tie rod ends arrived this morning i'll get them on this arvo and an alignment tmrw or the wednesday
  22. magna auto boxes are ok my mate has a "sports" v6 with the 5 speed tiptronic he says its starting to feel a but sloppy tho, but he's been saying that for the last few years his has been doing him well for ages now (it was his first car and he is about 21 now) gets pretty good fuel consumption for a 3.5 v6 too
  23. i doesn't calculate the torque going to the front wheels it probably calculates what % of power is going there, and its preconfigured for a stock motor assuming stock torque
  24. for both you guys (samuri and kinggtr) i woulg just grab the sougi s6000 its a good oil up there with the royal purple etc but so much cheaper and australian owned (i think) put one lot in (~$60, just call gulf western and ask for a distributer in your area, autobarn and supercheap will be able to get it for you but you will pay rrp + freight) leave it in there and check it every week, it'l start going black pretty quick, but its not breaking down, just dissolving the sludge in your motor (good oils go black quicker cos they are doing something, a cheap oil will look about the same colour after 5000kms) once its fairly dark, change it you'll get 2 changes out of the sougi to what you will out of the royal purple
