  1. At a guess, i'd say a sts turbo wouldn't really have an advantage over one hanging directly off the manifold on RB or other straight engines. however, as someone said above, it could really help with single turbo setups on V engines, which usually end up having some rather odd piping setups if they mount the turbo in the engine bay. I'm still suprised that they didn't go for a twin turbo though.
  2. nice looking Silver 34 coming out of tyron street onto newnham road just as i crossed it on the way home this arvo. Didn't catch if it had SAU stickers or not.
  3. Better power doesn't mean a faster car, it all depends on the weight. Heck, i imagine the engies out of some of those huge luxury sedans are pretty dam beefy, but the car itself might not be fast around a track.
  4. Remember that the tag itself is free, its just a minimum purchase of 20 bucks of toll money. Pretty sure that it doesn't expire either.
  5. Yeah, they only get upto 3krpm.
  6. You know, brisbane city busses seem to dose. Guess they're tuff aswell?
  7. Is there actually any power serious benifit from arrangement of cylinders? I mean, is a 4L V8 magically going to make more power than a 4L v6?
  8. You would think that they have something better to spend the money on wouldn't you...
  9. Don't forget R32 N1. Will go great at the track and you can keep it standard.
  10. A rebuild is a treatment, not a preventative measure. Wait till it pops. Well, unless your planning to make some crazy power figure.
  11. Not old enough to be a classic, not new enough to be fast. that's my opinion on the matter. (im' not a fan of that blue either) Of course, if your buying it your buying it because its a model of skyline you like, so you probably won't be dissapionted by the result.
  12. Remeber that the GT is more expensive than the GTT for a reason (P plate laws), and that's not likely to change at all in the future.
  13. The graphics are pretty dam good, considering that you can go anywhere you want (unlike CoD games, which are still just corridors like the origional doom etc.). The AI isn't perfect, but it gets the job done. Where the game really shines is the editor and the fact that the AI is dynamic. Screw the campain, you can get into the editor and have a nice village assult etc. up and going in a few minutes. Because the AI is dynamic, no matter what you do, where you put enemies etc, it will always work well (at least, always work at the same level of AI, which can sometimes be annoying). if your looking for an action FPS, don't get ARMA2. its a good game, but its not that type of game. Its a "oh, imagine if xx attacked yy in zz way: i'll go make that right now and then play it" kind of game.
  14. Yes, some JDM r35's were imported from japan before the ADM ones were available.
  15. Yes, but if your driving through traffic in the city, your not going to be taking advantage of this "great performance, strong chasis, and tight handling", so why not baby it a bit, and save some money to spend on mods or more petrol for longer weekend drives.
  16. He'll be wanting new turbo's or something next. Then again, that might not be for a decade going by his current trend.
  17. You'd probably be able to pick up a half decent r32gtr for 20K.
  18. A few of my favourite news articles http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/07/24/2635156.htm Headline "14 charged in police operation on hoon, drink driving" First words "Fourteen people are facing drink driving charges" and http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story...9-12377,00.html Headline: "Cops nab 216 hoons in less than a day" "Of the 216 motorists caught, 14 drivers exceeded the alcohol limit,...Another 85 were caught speeding with 16 exceeding the speed limit by more than 25km. Other offences included 29 drivers using their mobile phones and 20 people not wearing a seatbelt." So drink driving, talking on a mobile and not wearing a seatbelt is hooning?
  19. Wrecking yards always need cleaning. However, its hardly the sort of job that will 'leapfrog' you into better and greater things down the track. (Some of them are rather... dodgy)
  20. If it improves of the performence of previous generations, if only a little, its still a dam good car. Quesiton is: can you get over the looks?
  21. I mean, i was just thinking "i wonder if there's a feature of it on there" as the video got to that bit
  22. "i wonder if there'll be anything about the R34" *boom* "sweet"
  23. Ah, that's interesting to know (guess it makes a lot of sense aswell)
  24. I wonder if they would crush it at all? Nothing like a pissed off company who stands to loose half a million dollars to fund a lawsuit challangeing the legality of car crushing... Or maybe it wouldn't even get that far
  25. A car like that would make me rather happy in a year and a bit's time...
