  1. Haha, don't get me wrong, i only own a Suzuki serrai, I don't think i've even ever touched a skyline. However, logically, you can pretty easily determine that if your engine goes, its either going to be because of some catastrophic failure (eg, oil pump), or from general wear. Ask the guy who built the engine how high it should be reved, get a good oil pump if your worried about that shitting itself, and set your rev limit accordingly. Remember, redline at 7000 or 8000rpm isn't going to be a huge difference in wear, especially if its not a full time track care and will be seeing a lot of time putting around the suburbs at 3000rpm anyway.
  2. If you were going to spend the big bucks on a turbo like that with the power to match, why do such a shitty job on the internals that your afraid to rev past 7000?
  3. You can actually buy 91 anymore? All i ever seem to see its 98, 95 and horrible 10% ethanol that i don't like to run.
  4. Being a Byproduct is irrelevant, as if its adopted large scale it will become the main thing produce with petrol becoming the bi product, etc.
  5. I'm pretty sure the new Nissan EV is going to have motors in (or mounted to) the wheels. pretty sure... oh god dammit it doesn't.
  6. There's your answer.
  7. Geez, you'd be able to up boost a bit in those conditions...
  8. I think your confusing radar dectors with police radio...
  9. My video is exactly the same as the one you linked, i'm rather suprised that they took it down. But yeah, not a fake. Well, apart from the pelican
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32yyvmlGOdo Might not be a fake... Certainly doesn't look fake. No birds in the video though. Also, there's other news articles, ahem, floating, around the net with pictures of the car in the water.
  11. Mt Lindsey highway near the border region is another of those "you'll fall off the road before you break the speed limit" places. As for willowbank/QR: if you're to lazy to go out there to race, maybe you've got the wrong car...
  12. Games decent enough, I might be able to live with the dedicated servers... and no mods... and no lean. But the attitude of the developers is what makes it to much for me to take. "Moriarte: Ignoring IW.net, is the PC version a direct port of the console version? Mackey-IW: No, PC has custom stuff like mouse control, text chat in game, and graphics settings." Yes, mouse control. Thank you for being so Kind IW, and not making us buy a bloody controller Guess i'll pick it up when its cheaper.
  13. I do belive that they do a blood test on you if you give a reading that's over the limit (or can request a blood test)
  14. Depends what you define as "big horsepower" aswell. 500hp... 750, 1000?
  15. 132 pounds off the current vspec, or is that just what the current vspec already does?
  16. They're bullshit for sure, but the question is: is it a "just for laughs" bullshit or a "we seriously belive this" bullshit?
  17. Think if it as 3 different engines. Regular Rb20det, sold in regular r31's: regular stuff Rb20det-R: sold in a few gts-r's that nissan sold so they could race them: slightly more than regular stuff, but nothing crazy, someone else can tell you the specifics, because i don't know Rb20det-r, "race spec": used in the r31's that were raced: Heaps of insane stuff to make them last longer, put out more power, etc. Again, ask an expert. Basically, the det-r sold to the public is a step up from a det, but not what they used in the racecars. (well, i hope i got that right, i'd look silly if i didn't)
  18. Err, that's exactly what i said. "50000 pounds. Hasn't kept its value since then... (good or bad, who knows?)" Compared to the ferrari, at least. My point is, you can get a car that's about as fast (in certain conditions) for a lot less nowdays.
  19. You can pick up a R33 for 30K now that cost 100K when released. the Ferrari that its just a few seconds faster than (on that track) cost probably 300K on release and 200K or so now. (approximate, of course).
  20. Yeah, nothing worse than when a dodgy contracter does the roadworks and it starts falling apart straight away. There was a spot near stanthorpe that had been fixed up with a major roadwork at least twice over a 10 year period, as well as lots of minor fixes (by that i mean, fixing of patches, not filling up potholes). why? they built the dam thing over a underground stream without making any alterations for that fact.
  21. Interesting, qld's getting that centre line rule aswell, not a country wide change is it?
  22. Depends what sort of roads, and where. Country roads are, as usual, quite shit due to lol population density etc. In the city its a mixed bag. Older roads are usually shit, some inner city arterials are just old 2lane roads with 4 lanes or more stuck in it etc. However, new roads are built, how would you say "properly" these days (with islands, shoulders and the like). Suburban roads are a mixed bag, though the surface is usally kept in good order. Oh and traffic congestion is a bitch, but nowhere near as bad as sydney from what i've been told.
  23. Really, despite the "bigger and heavier" look, the 33's are faster than the 32's, simple as that. However, you also have to factor in the lower costs of the 32, meaning more can be spent on go fast bits. There's the look aswell. Personally, i dislike the rear of the 33's, and just like the look of a r32 much better. Finally, there's age, which can be a factor (and on the other hand, might not. you could get a 94 r32 or a 95 r33... only a year difference in almost 15 year old cars isn't that much)
  24. 50000 pounds. Hasn't kept its value since then... (good or bad, who knows?)
  25. Well, yes, if they're going to fine people for stuff (which is an action that can have far reaching consequences for the parties involved if the police get it wrong)
