  1. A 60km/h road would be too... well, have too much of a chance of being populated for me to have that sort of attitude.
  2. Or the 10 seconds could have lined you up to be T boned All in all, don't over analyze stuff and just drive safe.
  3. Interesting. I'd always figured you'd be looking for at least 20K for a r32gtr (pretty standard and in not too good nick).
  4. Mate, if you don't stop its going to be a case of a criminal record and/or jail time, not just loosing your car. Its not a case of "oh well the car will be gone better make the most of it"
  5. There were a few turbo'd L engines around aswell. Supposedly built like a tank.
  6. Its pretty hard, more than just taking the turbo itself out. You'll need a NA exhaust manifold, NA induction pipe, NA ecu, the car will still be registered as a turbo and probably illegal anyway, etc. Your best bet would be to stick it in a shed for the year and buy yourself a really really cheap car while you wait.
  7. Hmm, knew about the facilities, didn't know that someone ran a motokhana there. Any idea when the next one is coming up?
  8. Its a hillclimb, nothing to do with motokhana.
  9. Don't get me wrong mate, i'm not naive. Fact of the matter is that 33's are on average 5 years younger. Thrashed ones are still going to be thrashed, but un thrashed ones are going to be in better condition than an un thrashed 32. That, and the fact that there's probably more 33's out there.
  10. That's my point i guess. Much more likely that you can just jump in and drive a r33 if you buy it, whereas you'd probably have to do something to a r32.
  11. It depends on how thrashed the car is too. Most r32 gts-t's i see around the place i wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.
  12. Personally love the shape (minus the bonnet vent). There's a regular z31 300zx rusting in someones front yard up the road. Guess they're starting to get to the age where they really need a restoration.
  13. Of course, if its old mate in his (loud) done up XB falcon its all good and fine. Or mr businessman on his way to work in his Porshe., etc.
  14. If i was going to get a small car like that, i'd probably get an AWD laser or AWD pulsar
  15. Yes! I've started doing motokhana this year. I've had 3 goes at it so far. 3 times in 5 months. Apart from going all the way out to willowbank, and only on competition days, there is really nowhere where i can just go to practice/muck around and have fun etc. Heck, even if carparks or something be used as venues for low speed motorsport (noone parks in them late at night after all), it'd be a great start. But oh no, it'd just be "hoons congregating and hooning". People need to realise that its actually quite fun.
  16. Perhaps he means "can i get by on a standard diameter exhaust"
  17. Rev your car etc, but don't actually take off, let him blast off and get the speeding ticket.
  18. Saw a red r35 at a quarter to 3 turning from newnham road into link street in wishart (just near garden city). Dam they look good in red!
  19. Remember feelings aren't always true though. Fix the first at least and then see how it is
  20. The losers are the idiots that nearly run me over on pedestrian crossings. (or at least, they would run me over if i didn't wait for them to start stopping/whiz past before walking out) No skylines have nearly run me over yet though...
  21. I'm loving the series 3 R33's Then it'll be "oh, i'll only keep the outside stock"
  22. There's probably a lot of things that will make it go before you hit 10000k's. Including, but not limited to: Oil problems bad assembly shit getting into the engine while your rebuilding it (aka, metal flakes etc)
  23. What happens when it rains...?
  24. Is it 600 or 500? or was it going to be: "600 GTR's for the first 5 years, and of that 500, 200 allocated for 2009. Of the remaining 200, 50 will be delivered a year to bring the 300GTR's to Australia. Nissan expects that the happy 200 GTR owners will all be not voiding their warranties, and as such have made provisions for enough mechanics to work on 150GTR's. The extra jobs from servicing the 100 gtr's will bring much wealth to the economy"? (yes, i just made that up)
