  1. Question: any of your bonnets being used in Queensland? defect laws are different all over the place.
  2. Yeah, that's pretty much spot on. for those who are interseted: It'll be posted in Florida. that night it'll probably be sorted, send off to an airport. 1 day. They usually let stuff sit for a few days. 3-4 days. After that, it'll probably be flown to a major parcel facility in the US, 4-5 days, where it'll be put with other Australian bound stuff, and put on the next plane with room. 6-8 days. Once it gets here, customs will have a look at it, that's a few more days, 9-11 days. Then it'll be flown to Brisbane's parcel facility, 10-12 days, then put with the rest of the local parcels and delivered, 12-14 days.
  3. Well, its not going to produce a difference between the two, if your going to go and replace a lot of the externals with new aftermarket stuff that's had 10years of research and enhancement behind it. To properly compare them, you really need to: a) define what your comparing. Are you comparing the two engines as they appeared stock in the 33gts-t and the 34gtt? Are you comparing their ability to cope with a bigger turbo? Or do you compare their overall power ability when the majority of external parts are replaced (all of the intake, things like cams etc.) b) to do the latter, you need to go back and take a look at what is actually different about the block/internals and head. Judging by what people are saying (not seeing a difference with identically modified cars), i'd hazard a guess that the answer to this one is: not much. So if anyone knows some technical specifications about the changes of the internals between the engines, could you please list them? edit: spelling
  4. If you really, really, don't care about grip, get a cheap set of rims and put some cheap second hand tires on them, and only put them on when you go to the track. For added bonus also go with the above trick of soaking to make them harder.
  5. CNC machines are amazing enough to watch on their own. Not to mention one that can walk over its creations If it could automatically change its head, and had a connection to a power supply, i could just imagine setting one of those loose on a big chuck of material, and coming back in a few days to see it finished.
  6. Yes, but if when adding more parts your replacing what it was that made the NEO more powerful in the first place, then you wouldn't get the difference. Guess it depends on turbos.
  7. Isn't the v36 370GT effectively just that?
  8. Yeah, about two week is what i'd expect to, from talking to guys in the industry. Sea mail would be longer, express would only be a few days.
  9. Out of interest, is it worth it for a 32/33 gtr? Or ever worth it at all?
  10. you might get some ideas from this
  11. I cant believ u made a post thing all about this thread... In all seriousness though, a quick question: is that the standard rear wing on the OP's car?
  12. Yes, but when your younger you usually have less money to spend, is all. And by start working now, i mean, part time unskilled work. every bit helps.
  13. 16000 for a decent R32 GTR? that's pushing it a little i think. They seem to be going for the 18-22K mark, from what i've seen. (though perhaps not in 2 years time...) Of course, you also need to factor in things like rego (not to much), and insurance (which will be very much for young people). And repairs. My advice is: start working now, not in a year or 2.
  14. Wouldn't that completely mess up the compression ratio's then? I'm still trying to get my head around how it would actually work, putting a rb26 crank into a rb30. The block is taller, yes, but doesn't that mean your going to run into problems because the rb26 crank will still have the same travel, even when its put into the rb30
  15. Since rb30 and rb26 both have the same bore, wouldn't a rb30 block with a rb26 crank just be... a rb26?
  16. your theoretical rb30 gt-rs > your rb26 gt-rs
  17. +1 to it sounds like something to do with the throttle.
  18. Hahaha, my primary school principle used to say that a lot. "here's 50c, call someone who cares, kids help line."
  19. Rb30 also Will cost your a little more money.
  20. Technically yes, but in practice: they're sucking energy from waste gasses that are just being ejected out of the car anyway. They do cause restriction, yes. but they don't suck raw shaft engine power
  21. Yeah, i really don't see what wearing a P plate does to make my drive safer. It certainly labels me and degrades my driving experience though, i've had many occasions with people who "have to get infront" of me. Luckily i drive a 4WD, so noone wants to race me.
  22. You can't get in unless you die. Or somehow detach your balls, permanently. 4 times now...
  23. How much of a difference in both top and mid range power and torque, as well as responsibility would there be between them?
  24. @OP: your 7K will make you about, og, $400 in the next 12 months if you put it in the right term deposits. If you took a 7K loan, you'd probably be paying back an extra 2-3K over the life of the loan. Its just not worth it, not for something that depreciates like a car.
  25. Not many? Then again, i don't normally see many skylines at all here.
