  1. Not sure 2867s will still be practical, getting into that mismatch region again The 2863s just seen like the perfect setup for the big power brigade
  2. Given how hard it is to get the suckers out I'd just get what you want for your paper goals and make sure its genuine, either new or second hand. There's no point getting something you'll regret later to just save a couple of hundred bucks, given the mission it is to change them
  3. Instead of cracking it apart you could just look for any build plate stamped on the core and see what that says. They don't look like stock ones. Numbers cast on the front covers are just ratios, not an indication of turbo size

  7. 9:5 is what I'm shooting for. Easy to control with e85 but not getting silly to the point where other issues start to build up with the fact the head is a 30+ year old design
  8. There is a difference, what I got was labelled r32 and didn't fit, just ended up getting the superpro ones. You can measure the length easy enough without removing the arm
  9. Are you 100% sure that z32 result wasn't gtx2860s? Anyway you seem to be possibly missing his point about using a Japanese car that has been sold in both markets then getting tuned with a stockish setup to compare general dyno numbers

  13. Its worth noting that draining the coolant from the radiator hose only drains about half of it, there's a plug on the rear passenger side of the block behind the dump that you can use to drain the rest

  16. guys its pumps internal to the surge tank not the fuel tank. Also that is one big f**king surge tank pictured. single 460 starts to run out of puff around 400-450kw on E85, so particularly if you're running high boost i can understand wanting a pair. Still personally leaning towards a fuelab for my new setup
  17. Cheap knockoff big wang jobbie may do the trick of getting the car settled and not be huge bucks.

  20. Have heard similar with a racepace front pipes and custom 3". Careful with the kakimoto... Piggaz has some nice pictures of them that would make you want to steer clear...

  22. Leaning towards type R's at this stage. Extra lift and duration should help a tad. Seems like the mines cams are really the go to option, but a purchase price of 1850 bucks plus postage, import duty etc... not so great.
  23. It was a bit of a poke at the fact it sits rather low compared to some of the other options out there. Went with a hioctane one for mine.
  24. I don't like my sump getting ripped off so I'll pass on the trust extension. I suppose keeping stock cams isn't something is considered. Motor is dead, to be replaced by stroker, head is getting a full redo, valve springs, new valves and the like. Turbos will be gtx2860s, similar to -5s but should like more boost. Still saying stock cams knowing that?
  25. Im in need of cams, simikiar turbos and goals as above. Have read thread, am now more confused. Frok what I understand, it Seems like the main 250 options out there are the mines cams, tomei, and there's a few others around with 256ish degrees. Ramp rates on all are up in the air and possibly not the greatest except maybe the mines? So, what actual cams I can buy to get...
