Whiteline Nm35 Stagea Sway Bar Group Buy
Daleo replied to Daleo's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Chopps, check the link; http://www.whiteline.com.au/do_segue.php?make=Nissan&model=Stagea&vehicle=WC34+2WD%2F4WD+1996-9%2F01 and have a look at what's available for the C34. Let me know what you're after and I will get you some prices. If you're after some guidance on which way to go (there are several options front & rear available to you) I can help you out with that. Perhaps there is enough demand to do a C34 Group Buy? -
Certainly a nice looking car; I really like the Kenstyle kit in black. Kays do seem a little low for a vehicle of it's age though. Not saying it's impossible; but as has been pointed out in the past, it would be a better bet to look at a car with 70,000km on it as they're more likely to be honest rather than a 40,000km car that probably had over 100,000km prior to being wound back, because it had nice paint. The big clues to look for on these if you suspect high kays (but can't see them) is wear on the steering wheel and pedal rubbers. Pedal rubbers are easy to replace, but the Wheel is mostly overlooked. If the steering wheel has evidence of wear (surface worn through) or is very shiny, I'd be really suspicious. Obviously the usual; seats, trim, general looseness still applies to high kilometre cars. Although having said that; these are put together quite well and they do seem to weather quite well. This was brought home to me when I drove a mate's 2005 XR8 Falcon last week. Paint & trim are beautiful, has about 10 grand worth of add ons (exhaust, intake, tune shift kittted auto, brembo's and suspension upgrades) has dyno sheets for 300rwkw and it is maintained obsessively. It honestly drove like a 15 year old car; rattles & squeaks EVERYWHERE and virtually every bush is due for replacement. And really not that quick either. Doughy down low and when it finally does start to kick, your only 1500rpm from redline! V8? Pffft! I was so disappointed; I gave him the keys to mine, and sent him on his way. He came back half an hour later; absolutely crestfallen at how much better resolved the Stagea was as a "performance" car and I doubt it would top 150awkw. On a winding road, you'd round up this Falcon and be gone into the distance before it decided what gear it was going to choose. Back on topic Super low kay Jap cars DO exist; but if they truly were low for a car of this age, you'd expect to be paying a premium for the privilege. My 2 (50?) cents.

Great stuff! Thanks for your support! Come on you guys, lets have a few more! Cheers, Dale. -
Nagoya Motors?

I think those rates are about right. You need to understand that the attachment point of coilovers in the V series, is approximately 2/3rds along the lower arms; therefore, there are considerable leverage ratio's to consider. The NM35 Stagea shares a similar layout, and while being a touch heavier (100-150 odd kilos) my BC BR's run 10kg/mm front springs and 12kg/mm rears. They are not the least bit harsh or unpleasant; this is my daily driver and my missus & kid would not tolerate it. I run them on the softest damper setting and they are beautifully controlled with, no banging over bumps etc. I am also running big adjustable Sway Bars which allows me to get away with the soft damping and still have really positive turn in. Check out the V-series section for my Whiteline Sway Bar Group Buy, if you want to complement those coilovers, or PM me for any Whiteline product for that matter.

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
Daleo replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
ROFL, he's up on the roof, chucking tiles, demanding land rights for gay whales... -
Guys, after all the PM's and requests I received in the lead up, very few people seem to be interested, now I have organised this Group Buy. If anyone has issues or concerns of any kind, with regard to the security of payments, or my own credentials; feel free to contact me and I will answer any questions or concerns you may have. It would be great to see you guys get involved with this Group buy. Cheers, Dale.

Stagea With Abysmal Throttle response? Lol

I believe the cloth is a more comfortable seat, I just felt like I was perched on top of the leather, instead of nestled in, but that's an individual thing. Don't get too hung up on a detail like that; I think there are more important things to focus on.

Ahh, the chin; never thought of that! Obviously too many remotes to the head...

Rb25de (supercharged) Project
Daleo replied to r33_racer's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
It's a tube reducer. You can get them concentric and eccentric. Available in 304 or 316L I used to order mine through M&S Stainless in Prospect; http://msstainless.com.au/ Been following your thread for a while now; fantastic work, amazing! Excuse my intrusion; back to the show! -
Nothin' wrong with a V8 ute . No hate here. I ended up with the NM35 for much the same reason; love a wagon, but the usual suspects, Falcons, Commo's, Magna's held absolutely no appeal. My missus loves driving it, good visibility, easy to park (except one gutter) and she quite likes the old TLGP, and the anonymity with the constabulary. Add a few choice mods, and they step up to another level . Best of luck with the search; You won't be disappointed.

I'm glad you found the issue. That's a "Lateral Lock" by the sound of things. Did you speak to Whiteline at all? I recommend you get in touch with him. If it was missing; I'm sure he'll help get it sorted for you. Cheers, Dale.

Right you are , the 2.5 didn't have much torque, that 1.8 must need a rev to get going... -

Lol @ runner! Sorry guys, out at EC doing a trackday today, 270 km/h into turn one... Love it! Bars are looking to be in the country some time this week, so I'll be updating as soon as they arrive. We're in the home stretch now! Cheers, Dale. -
Essentially the same car as my 2000 323 . Frankly I don't get it , they all have CV jointed front axles, so theres obviously no excuse for a tiny car having the turning circle of USS Missouri...

Round? Lol, jokes... It's actually tighter than my daily Mazda 323.

Wtb: M35 Rear Bumper
Daleo replied to ddrallystagea's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Exactly what I was thinking. -
So this is something different to the idle learn procedure? If so, I'd say EVERYONE needs it. Would you care to elaborate on the procedure for this, please Toshi?

I'll have one in a couple of weeks when my newly acquired Aero Selection bar goes on. It's undamaged, black/grey but it has a cut out in the centre, underneath where my towbar mounts. Pics; PM me if you like; it might not be what you're after. Cheers, Dale. -
Yeah, I've done the "Remote against the head" trick, when I was too far away from my car to lock, and too lazy to walk back. Saw it on Top Gear, never believed it, but had to give it a go...

+1 chuckie So many people I see TIG welding stainless, have oxidation in the weld bead, and can't work out why; so push up argon flow rates. Then they find it gets worse, because the turbulence actually unshrouds the arc. You watch them weld, and they continually pull the tip of the filler wire out of the out of the purging zone; oxidising the tip, then push all that crap into their welds...

I voted hoodie! If it had a Stagea silhouette on it; even better, but not fussy.
