  1. There's a lot of info here I know, I've included a "How to" on reading the codes, that way you can work out where the pauses are to translate the code. Hopefully you can sift through and find what you need.
  2. Too right Terry .
  3. That's a lot for one day! You virtually drove past my place too. I'm near the ugg boot man on the GWH at Faulconbridge.
  4. Where are you located? I don't have specs (forgot to ask) but Wholesale Suspension in Penrith 02 4721 2187 did mine, I'm sure they'll be able to help.
  5. You had a couple of pretty good cracks at other people too Chuckie, be honest. Hell, I've had a couple of cracks at you myself . I'm over it.
  6. So the solution is to make everything the way it used to be? I don't think so. Things change, that's life. The forum isn't a private club, people need to get past this. Also if the same five people were the only forum users, there wouldn't be much innovation going on would there? For the C34 owners, be honest, you're all treading a fairly well worn path with the Rb motor, the basic engine has been around since, what; early 90's? Say what you will, this does make things a bit easier. Also, if you want X kilowatts, there's a clear & reliable way to get what you want. Hell, there's a virtual guarantee. For the most part, it's all been done before. The basic driveline of the car is not unique to the vehicle, and aftermarket support is excellent. Seems to me that a lot of problems started when people started giving well meaning but sometimes condescending advice for problems that were surfacing with the NM35, (namely tuning) because they'd wrongly assumed that the solution would be the same as a C34 (get a Nistune). Most of these people are quite knowledgable with C34's, but that doesn't really help on a car thet shares very few similarities. When told that they were wrong, or that they didn't understand, they got the irrits, because they couldn't be the oracle on a car they didn't own. Thaaaat's when the sniping started. With the NM35 there is very little aftermarket support. Virtually EVERYTHING has to be either custom made or purchased at a high cost. This isn't because it's a shit motor or any of the other throwaway excuses, it's newer and it is ONLY fitted to our vehicle. If you want performance, to a certain extent you are putting your money down with no guarantee of a result. That takes balls if you ask me. There's a couple of seriously cluey guys who've put their money where there mouths are and it HASN'T always worked out. They have dealt with problems that simply don't exist with the C34's. But they keep going until they get it. Scotty is a prime example, yet some other members seem to think that effort deserves no respect. A little bit of mutual respect would go a long way, face to face, attitudes would be a lot different. I've only been to 2 Stagea meets and didn't it turn into a bloody C34 v''s NM35 streetfight either time . Part of the reason I joined the forum and bought the car I have is 'cos I didn't see the owners as a bunch of squabbling children, but as a group who genuinely help one another and are actually interested in the end result. As opposed to watching others fail, then closing the circle to bag the poor guy out. It's not one side or the other exclusively, doing this, it's a combination of both. The end result, however is the same.
  7. No CSL, but I used to work for Dairy Farmers, we installed $42 million in upgraded plant 2 years ago. 16x 11000 litre batching & pre filler storage tanks and about 11tybillion metres of stainless pipework, That was a fun job...
  8. Sooo, that went well.... Oh wait, what?
  9. Well then, given your unquestioned awesomeness, when is it happening?
  10. Supreman? Don't they sell womens clothes'? Seewhatididthere? *Hilarity ensues* All good Superman, I'm gonna try to do it everytime from now on. You'll have the shits with me in no time... Bubba: Richard Gere must've known something... He's been bringing people together with smelly rodents for years.
  11. I looked at that, but ears a bit too small? *Edit* Looks like a rabbit They're still creepy f##kers... See? C34 & M35 owners CAN get along Just call me "Boutros Boutros Copperart"
  12. Seem like I have more in common than first thought...
  13. New chat thread name; "How many pancakes does your hamster wear" or "What have you done to your hamster lately?"(no poly pipe comments, ok?)
  14. Yeah, but they look all cute and soft and that. But then you pick em up and they're all bony. And who runs in a wheel ? Honestly...
  15. Bugger me! The little f##kers got two!
  16. Never trusted those little suckers If it took my pancake I'd be all like "Armageddon!"
  17. Only if mine is the last word Not that it will be.
  18. Faark, hardly! I've been one to have a dig, but I'll normally let it go. Bit sad to see it getting out of hand, I bet with a beer in hand most of us would be pretty good friends...
  19. Fair dinkum, if I wanted to hear this sort of stuff, I'd buy a ford/holden... This was one of the best forums because there was next to no slanging, and what there was , was good natured. I always saw it as what sets us apart from the sedans & coupes was our common ground? There seems to be an old guard that don't take kindly to other ppl piping up in what the feel is "their" forum. And a few young bucks not showing enough "respect" Just cos you have a lot of runs on the board, doesn't make you an infallible oracle, but by the same token, newer members have plenty to add (scotty springs to mind) Just because you weren't on the forum doesn't mean you didn't have a life before it. The nature of the net is people can be overly familiar, and I think that's becoming a problem here. A fair bit of what gets said here probably wouldn't get said face to face, and if it did, most of it wouldn't end in the kind of violence ppl are threatening. *awaits negative reputation attack*

  21. Whats going on with the negative reputation stuff here? Honestly, I don't get all this "don't threaten me or I'll threaten you " bs. Maybe it's time everyone let it go...
  22. Nice! I'd like to see some pics of your final height. Maybe another day .
  23. Yeh, I was just stirring anyway . I have seen some old school boilermakers turn out some truly unbelievable work, and I've seen some fitters turn out work that I wouldn't give to my worst enemy. All depends on how much pride you have in your work. I work for Astrazeneca, wonder if we've got any of your gear here? Nice work on the new job, what an opportunity to showcase your skills!
  24. Really? The biggest issue for me was getting the rear springs out, 'cos they have so much preload. The fronts were a doddle and I was just on the garage floor. Have you got your heights sorted out? Were my numbers any good, or just confusing? Enjoy the cruise gents! I'm there in spirit!
  25. Matt, I obviously took you a little out of context, and I'm sorry your dad has had such a terrible experience. I would wish that suffering on no-one. My partner & I have been on the recieving end of a reckless driver and have felt the effects (not to the extent of your father) that linger after the fact. I'm also man enough to admit when I've got it wrong. Yes, you're right, driving IS a privilege and we must follow the rules. And if that is true, then it logically follows that it is NOT our right to speed. My point was that if you make the choice to speed you must accept the consequences of that decision. Cars can be dangerous when used inappropriately, I feel this is fairly obvious to anyone of average intelligence. However, in my usual, hamfisted way, I made an error in implying that the driver is the only one who may have to deal with the consequences of that decision. This is often not the case,as your example demonstrates. Your other point about the police service blocking their blatant grab is also interesting, although I have no issue with the police to begin with. My neighbour is a Dog Squad dog trainer, and a nicer guy you could not hope to meet. Most are just people doing a job. I guess the advantage of candid discussion is, you are sometimes exposed to a viewpoint very different to your own, which then provides a different perspective. Thanks for sharing your experience in such a way. Cheers, Dale
