  1. Sounds great Scotty; pack it up brother. Send me some bank details, & I'll cash you up.
  2. Glenn, let me know how you get on with drilling the brackets, if you need any shims/spacers to assist with mounting; I'll sort you out. Cheers, Dale.
  3. I've been looking at those Scotty, does it use/come with a thermocouple? Let me know what you want for it please? I also estimate that I've added around 50-70 km to my fuel range per tank. No other changes just the fans. I take it you went twin because of your oil cooler fan?
  4. Mine runs from around 84 deg in cooler weather, to around 92 deg peak. I'm no electrician, so the wiring & relays took me a bit of time; but it's not brain surgery. Once I have a correct temp normally closed switch; mine will be great, as the default for the system if anything goes wrong with the switch is fans on. When the switch opens, it releases an energized normally open relay, which then applies 12v through two 20amp fused normally closed relays. Possibly would've been better going with a dedicated fan controller, but I can't find one that I'm prepared to pay for.
  5. I have Ian's old gigantor radiator (720mm wide, 420mm high, 52mm thick); which worked admirably with the engine fan. Still running OEM thermostat. The fan recently packed it, so I'm now running a pair of 14" thermo's in a custom stainless shroud (which is essentially what the Mishimoto shroud/fan set-up is). I'm working on a temp switch & relay setup at the moment, as the Toyota switch my mate uses; is a bit too hot to run in our system. Just need to find a slightly cooler switch. These monster fans have no issue cooling the car. Currently I'm running them on a manual switch; and the difference in response from the engine (in comparison to the viscous fan) is massive! Revs out much quicker & smoother; especially when ambient temp is warmer. Worth the hassle IMO, but everyone is different. What are people paying for Nismo thermostats & maybe a link?
  6. Astrazeneca.
  7. Lol, mine is sitting just down the road at my work, and I never get spotted... Ah well...
  8. Spotted a silver M35 going past Macquarie centre on Talavera rd earlier this morning.
  9. No great rush; red plastic cover makes me sad though.
  10. Scotty, I'm after the cover for the fuel pipework under the RHS wheelarch, a couple of load area tie down hooks, and the red plastic cover over the Pos battery terminal in the engine bay. Feel free to PM if they're available. Cheers, Dale.
  11. Yep, Can't remember which one right now though.
  12. Yep, the Hitachi one is the nice one; all Nissan's should be fitted with this one. No idea why Holden went with the Bosch.
  13. I actually recommend the use of a liquid hydraulic thread sealant; teflon thread tape is a menace.
  14. The most common thing that happens with RB starters is worn brushes. Strip the starter, remove the brush plate; get an auto elec to replace the brushes (most people don't own a soldering iron with enough grunt to solder the new tails in), clean up the commutator; reassemble. Good to go for another 20 years. I hate the Bosch starter that Holden used on the VL's; makes them sound like a red motor at startup. The Hitachi has a much nicer (quieter) planetary drive.
  15. Probably not something you want to risk with summer just around the corner.
  16. I can get mine to do this if I give it a solid pasting when it is not fully up to temp. Switch off the ignition, and restart the car; back to full boost.
  17. I saw pics of this; looks like I'll be going home on the M2/M7 today... I heart tolls
  18. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure ARC went to the wall during the GFC a couple of years back. I've seen Nismo boxes waiting for pickup at my local Nissan dealer before; maybe try the dealer option?
  19. Duncan, my mate with the coating business buys all his blasting consumables through these guys. http://www.burwell.com.au/ They're based in Revesby.
  20. Definitely get some legal advice; there must be a reasonable amount of time the police are able to hold personal property to build a case. If your car wasn't used to kill someone, I can't see why they would need it for more than 2 years. Take the fingerprints, take the pictures & swabs; hand the car back. Either that or provide a proper explanations as to why that isn't possible. You are a victim of crime here too; the Police must also serve your interest, not just their own.
  21. Isn't there some kind of reset procedure for the climate control?
  22. It's hard enough with my 2.5" pipe using a jig, and I have 10mm odd either side; the 3" would need to be absolutely perfect every time in every single dimension. Love to see the finished article. Thanks for the reply last night mate; very helpful.
  23. Don't EVER give me a key to your house.
  24. Welcome to the world of Group Buys. It's a shame when people get super excited about a great idea, but then don't have the stones to admit that they can't really afford it. Would it be worth posting in the GB section, as you might still be able to get the numbers; just not all Stagea owners. Good on you for having a go.
  25. Get out for a pushie ride. Pose Evans Lego characters around the house, and wait for him to find them. Go round to my Mum's house when she's not there, and set the hundreds of teddy bears in sexually explicit poses throughout her house. Still at mum's place; add random items to her shopping list, then go back later and pull them out of her cupboards and ask why she has bought them. Follow the cat around the house with a laser pointer. Try to fit thermo fans to my radiator. (Not recommended unless you have about a month of spare time and live close to a mental hospital). Watch episodes of Top Gear, and eat all the rice crackers.
