  1. You would be wise to set the bronze bush on a block of timber on your bench, lube the ball on the tip of the gearstick with a bit of grease, then a solid whack on the end gearstick (remove gearknob) with a decent sized hammer, will pop the new bush on to the ball.
  2. Ah, I understand what you were talking about now; that's the bearing carrier.

What a terrible situation; thoughts going out to your friend. Also the point about riding in other peoples cars is well made; If you aren't comfortable, or things are getting too silly, tell the driver in no uncertain terms to stop the car, and get out. It might not be the coolest thing you've ever done; but it might just save your life.
  4. If it's all new; the master cylinders aren't primed, that's why you're not getting anything. Once you have fluid through the master; the system will pump fluid. Sometimes you need to apply pressure (only a small amount) to the reservoir; or use a vacuum bleeder to draw fluid through.
  5. That is a brilliant looking engine bay. More pics please.
  6. Even though they are in fixed positions; there is always a deliberate misalignment to allow the uni's to work properly.
  7. Spotted a metallic pale blue M35 in Eastwood on my way to work this morning.
  8. Lol, nah; black Stagea is always in stealth mode...
  9. Spotted 180fan heading up the GWH at Valley Heights today. Looking good dude, sorry I didn't have time to flash, or toot.
  10. Not cheap, but the guy I used reckons they're better than aftermarket rubber ones.

I can't see how that type of accident in that type of car could be anything but the result of excessive speed/inexperience. I'm all for a bit of a squirt every now and then, but that's terrible.

Killing a passenger (probably his G/F) is going to be a hell of a thing for that young guy to have on his conscience. Makes you think.
  13. +1^^^^ Western CV's in Penrith did mine for $110.
  14. How is this possible???? Speed kills; therefore you are dead. Congratulations on your internet connection from the afterlife.
  15. Corona's are the most unbelievably miserable way of getting around that I can imagine. Except maybe an Evo. I drove one as a daily when I had my angry Weber fed, 2.4l stroker, 180B SSS. I bought the Corona (still registered) from a mate for $500 over 15 years ago; drove it every day for 3 years, until it was killed by a P plater. I received $4000 from his insurance company, and went & bought a motorbike. Not one single tear was shed when it passed. If you have a love for the Corona; females are completely safe from you. Enjoy your virginity; you'll have it for a long time.
  16. Yeah, Evan & I have been cruising on our bikes; but we had a storm & had to come home. Now he's recovering the ammo after a Nerf war...
  17. You could always be the "go to guy" for the next person who needs a reco'ed starter motor; maybe arrange a changeover service, and help the community. Work in a fair margin to make it worthwhile; everyone wins! Just a thought.
  18. Which was subsequently deleted. That made me sad. Definitely some of my best work.
  19. Syd, this will become more common with time, our cars are at that age. I did a driver's side inner a month ago, I'd suggest tracking down as genuine boot; my CV guy reckoned they're better than the universal boots.
  20. The search is over; AND it's a Nissan. Bam! You can thank me later. Also comes with semi's, and they look grippy.
  21. My missus was banned from the garage, after she started dumping washing baskets and other household detritus on my farkin workbench! I bought her a whole house to play in, I only want one room for myself.
  22. What's your worry? You're only elongating tue slotted holes that already exist. A man of your skills should be able to sort that. If you don't like them you can always refit the OEM stuff.
  23. Lol, by the time I saw how much wear there was on the rears, it wasn't worth rotating them. I've got a set of SPC toe & caster eccentric bolt kits to go in, but haven't had time to fit them... Might need to book a slot at the Nismo bro Stagea workshop to get up on the hoist with a die grinder. Once they're in, I can set toe & camber to somewhere slightly more neutral.
