  4. Should be ok. Try it out, I think you will be better off. Otherwise, standard disks for the HPX and slotted for the Project Mu's.
  5. A1RM's still fade. Better off keeping the HPX for road duty and running some race pads for the track.
  6. Did the old turbo's blow catastrophically? If so the exhaust is still full of oil and will take a few hot cycles to stop smoking.
  7. What oil filter are you using? If the anti drainback valve is leaking overnight it can take a few seconds to pump the oil up. Mine was doing a similar thing with a certain brand filter. I changed to K+N and never looked back. Is it fine at all other times and just does this at startup? No other noises?

  9. It depends more on the pump than the injectors. If you are smart you could run a PWM controlled Fuelab pump or similar and turn the flow down when it isn't needed, that way you might be able to use all the stock gear you have currently.

  11. You will definitely need a massive cooler setup for the auto. Mine overheats in 3 laps of PI, and I run a massive 30 row cooler with Spal fan.
  12. So why go a larger turbo at all if you don't plan to lean on it?
  13. Going up a turbo size also makes for a laggier setup, what is your issue with pushing a smaller turbo harder? A GTX35 could probably get you there. You are pushing the engine hard, why not max out the turbo for best power available? Wastegates are overrated imo...
  14. Nice list, but what injectors are you going for? Have you installed a decent fuel pump? Have you matched the torque converter to the GTX35? Is the exhaust a free flowing 3.5 inch system? Are you close by an e85 servo? These questions are much more important than the Nistune one you asked. I fabricated some parts for a GTX35 setup on an RB25 the other day, it made 430kw at fairly reasonable boost on the factory manifold, with plenty in reserve. I just hope you have the rest of the supporting mods, it's probably good for 500kw on a perfect setup. Here is the graph for comparison, yours will be a little laggier I would assume.
  15. Take the sensor out of the exhaust and feel it. If it gets hot quickly it is working. Careful you don't burn yourself...

  18. What are you plans for it? Are you just chasing numbers? The larger the rear housing, the more torque and power, it also makes the top end more responsive at the expense of the low end = lag.

  20. Xp, I was given an old IBM lappy, bought a $20 battery for it and loaded just the Consult III and Fcon software for the car. It boots in no time and has the serial out I need for the fcon, to save running one of those damn usb/serial converters.

  22. The Nistune won't be what holds you back, but you should be looking at stronger head studs and beefing up the auto if you plan to push it. No reason the stock engine won't produce 400kw plus if you can get some ethanol into it. Reliably? That's anyone's guess.

  25. You don't think Nissan trans fluid may have been a better choice? Mine did the same thing after I suspect Dex3 was added. Time for a rebuild or replacement trans. Which box is it you have?
