  1. Does it have a spare digital output? I have a few large solid state relays here if you want to have a play... Keep in mind you will lose 0.7V over the relay output.
  2. I doubt uprev will work, they couldn't help with ours after sending them the ROM file. Nistune were useless for the VQ25det, but they do have the VQ30det early ecu's cracked. I would say you are stuck with an Emanage over the stock ecu, (or over an Impul/Nismo ecu to get rid of afm cut/speed cut) with a decent tune.
  3. Plenty of Stagea engines down the drain from the Impul. Bump the boost up and see what happens. At some point the stock injectors max out and you are screwed. At least the Nismo ecu has protection. Are they available still or discontinued?
  4. Good way to blow your engine, as all the protection of the stock ecu is bypassed.
  5. Any large 40 micron or less filter should do the job. They can be cleaned as often as you want, but it should take years to clog up at all, unless you have a contamination issue.
  6. You are probably better off using a PWM load based output from the ecu Johnny, running through a 40 amp solid state relay. Ditch the FPCM all together, or still run it as a power feed cutoff through the feed relay.
  7. I sold my Axis ones, they weren't too bad being a low K car, but most of the stock shocks are well shagged by now. BC's would be your best bet. Cheap and work well.
  8. You used an expensive ecu to protect your engine from your poorly designed wiring arrangement. If you had just run a standard direct power feed like I suggested you wouldn't be having this issue, and no expensive protection would be required. I must admit, I am a little jealous, I would love the new Haltech Elite...
  9. Did you check the relay box behind the battery? The IPDM is where the power is distributed and it's likely it has water in it, especially if you have just been through a rain storm. The battery compartment is known to fill with water as the drains block regularly. Also the BCM can get water inside it apparently, it hides in the drivers kick panel. Check the wiring is plugged in correctly and look for signs of water damage while you are there.
  10. Good chance the wastegate can't close, even though it is trying. Shame you didn't shove an external gate off the housing, I think this turbo had some potential.
  11. Depending on the design, some poly bushes creak badly. I only use Superpro these days, although I have never tried the Full Energy gear. 350z or V35 ball joints fit fine, but need to be pressed out. It isn't a diy job that's for sure.
  12. A lot, perhaps $100us. I thought you wanted more power from it, not less?
  13. Dynomax VT? What are you wanting? A closed Varex makes for laggy spool and restricts a fair bit, makes more noise on boost when closed imo.
  14. I have all the hoses here Steve, but where are you?
  15. The 3.5 inch aerochamber I ran had no chance, even with a mid muffler. Louder than the open Varex and restricted to 3 inch internally. Perhaps they require exhaust flowing to make it quiet? I had to ditch mine due to horrid drone.
  16. With the mufflers available in Aus there is no chance of getting it legal, unless you spend up big for custom mufflers.
  17. The only way to tuck an exhaust up close to the floor is to make it that way from the start. I vote custom stainless.
  18. Plenty running 450+kw on a paper filter. I guess you NA boys need all the help you can get.
  19. Your call, but that wasn't an exaggeration. I have seen 500kw at the wheels with the same panel filter in a stock GTR airbox, stock piping, and you won't be getting anywhere near that with a direct injected 3L. No filter? Why not. Go for it.
  20. If the pump outflows the reg the pressure can spike, causing rich idle issues. You want to find this out before it's on the dyno. I assume you have the stock reg?
  21. All thread do it?
  22. Have you checked the fuel pressure? Adjusting the latency isn't too hard, it needs to be done first up in the tuning. If you don't know how to do it, best leave it and limp down there. Just raise the idle a little perhaps, so it doesn't stall. Take a set of plugs with you, good chance you will foul the ones in there.
  23. So why check it? Just dump the 5L in and be happy for 5K.
  24. The stock airbox flows 4 times what you will ever ask of it, and does a great job of filtering the cold air from it's induction.
