  1. Where are you located? Do you have an intank pump with your fuel setup or did you run a custom fuel cell? Interested on the in tank fuel pump, surge tank and the bits with it. PM me.   2. I have done this as I was told when the car primes it only gets 7v and with this grounding point it gets 12v. I can hear the pump priming now but it still kicks in the tank and still pops and splutters. It really is undriveable and unfortunately doesn't look like aus posts guaranteed next day express post is guaranteed...
  3. He said he made 350rwkw on 22psi pulp fuel not 300rwkw max. So its only 15kw gain. Still not bad.
  4. That is almost definitely a HKS SSQV. Had one on my car for about 3 minutes before I ripped it off. Can't stand that high pitch shit.
  5. Dont paint them. I used VHT wheel paint which was meant to be chip resistant. It looked awesome for the first while then they started chipping. Its been a while and they haven't faded at all just the chipping is shit. Almost anything will chip the paint and cause damage to it. I prepped them up pretty well. Gonna sandblast them then have them powder coated.
  6. So 500cc are enough for 280rwkw on E85? I know you dont need E85 for that power but if you wanted it I think the injectors are too small... Some people might want to to keep the EGT down.
  7. It thuds when its going onto ignition. It used to be a click and then the buzz now its a clunk thud sound. I took it to advan he just touched the throttle and hes like its leaning out badly and will pop and choke and only get worse under boost. He said the pressure regulator was fine but because of the thud in the boot and it being hard to start indicates hardly enough pressure and the fuel pump could be on its way out. He told me change it then go from there. What is a pump speed regulator? Is that the standard regulator on the rail? Ive got the Nismo FPR on the car. I don't have a fuel pressure tester but can get and install a gauge to check the pressure. On the drive to the tuner I noticed as soon as I come onto boost it gets alot worse. At 4800rpm my injector duty cycle was on 41%. Seems a little high for 740cc nismos.
  8. I wasn't running this mod. My fuel pump died because it failed, it didn't hit its limits but I would say on E85 you will be pushing it. 75coupe I don't thin you'd get away with 500cc and E85 for that power... Ive got a Bosch 040 replacement coming in and gonna drop that back into the tank then attach a surge tank with probably a 044 or another pump to it.
  9. Hey man, cheers for the response. The pump is getting power its just really hard to start and when it does it splutters alot. The tuner also had alot of problems getting the afr right on cruising speeds and rpm levels. I've had this pump for about 2 years now and the sound it makes is very distinct. now I don't hear it do anything but a thud in the tank. I'm abit worried about doing that bucket test but I'm going to yank the pump out today and see what is up. The pump is a bosch 040. They are louder then stock, very audible. I can't hear it at all. the car always used to prime just not anymore. ill try give it direct power when its in tank and see what happens, if it primes, pumps or what not. regardless of that I do have a new pump on the way.
  10. Yeah I just placed an order on a brand new 040 to replace my old one. Not going to bother trying to fix the old one. It's from my wreck and the fuel tank was open for a while so maybe now it's decided to fail. Hopefully my new pump comes tomorrow and all my problems go away. Got about quarter tank of fuel so hopefully I don't get too wet lol. I'm really getting over second hand parts. Sure you save money at the get go but you end up spending again much sooner... Maybe I'll setup a surge tank if my brother parts with his 044.
  11. My fuel pump died and I need a new one. He gave me this which was pulled out of his turbo rotary. I don't know what it is but I do know rotors are very thirsty. Does anyone know what this is and is it suitable for a R33 gtst running 13psi with nismo 740cc injectors? The only markings are IF0034 20226. My brother thinks its probably a bosch 910 but I have no idea. Any ideas? Also if someone is selling their fuel pump, a bosch 040 or a r33 gtr fuel pump pm me Also it seems no one has read my other thread but if you read this, and decide to reply, gimme your input. My fuel pump is not priming and when I put the ignition on all I can hear is the pump kicking in the tank, like a dub kind of sound. No buzzing etc. It jumps around. Does it sound seized? My car pings to 54 as soon as it starts. The tuner said this is a tell tale sign of no fuel, no pressure and the fuel pump shitting it self especially the lack of priming sound from a 040.
  12. Does anyone have a bosch 040 fuel pump I can pick up.... well straight away? Need my car back on the road and my current 040 is just kicking around in the tank and wont prime causing the car to ping even when its starting.. If you've got one please PM me. Don't move this to WTB please, no one checks there and I really need it to be local and asap and most suppliers are out of stock

  14. You'd be pushing it. My 040 failed to supply fuel for my 740 on regular fuel. It was holding up but then went south.
  15. Its misfiring. Your coil packs are fizzled. Wrap em up in tape. Also sounds like you hit rich and retard. Flat power til the limiter. Could be due to flooding the O2 sensor with fuel and the car is shitting it self. The machine gun is the best way to explain the sound. Also sounds like the car doing a shit.
  16. f**k, I get my car back from the tuner and my fuel pump is on its way out. If I can't resolve it by this weekend I'm going to have to miss this one Unless I can get another car worth bringing.

  19. Guys if anyone here has a r33 GTR fuel pump and cradle assembly I need it for my GTST. Please PM me, pretty desperate on this part as I heard its a good option for a GTST and drops straight in. Have cash waiting and a car I cant drive!!!!
  20. My car was at the tuner the other day for about a week. The battery died. When they went to jump it they said there was a pretty big spark which indicated that something was drawing alot of current with the car off... Everything is completely off the only thing which looks to be on is the alarm. I'm going to disconnect the sound system when this weather f**ks off.
  21. Hey all, Well I just got my car back from the tuners. When it was there(advan) peter was telling me he was finding it hard to get a good 'cruise' tune as the AFR was erratically jumping up and down and he initially suspected some sort of compressor surge. He took it for a drive and it was responding well on the street. Today though I was having issues. The car would not want to start on me when it was warm. I'm not saying it doesn't do it when cold but when it was warm it was being a pain. It would turn turn turn for about 30 seconds and still nothing. After I did get it to start the PFC hand controller showed a knock read of 54. It didn't rev past 1400. Fuel pressure was checked and tweaked accordingly yesterday. One thing I did notice was the fuel pump doesn't sound like its priming. When I explained the symptoms to him over the phone he immediately suspected the fuel pump and he now thinks it was affecting tuning yesterday. When revving the car in neutral and holding say 3krpm the revs splutter and sound like arse. Revving to 4krpm the revs splutter and drop by a couple hundred rpm. He is almost certain its the fuel pump. He told me if its not priming its a sure way of knowing its on its way out. The injectors are brand new nismo 740cc injectors coupled with the standard fuel rail, a nismo fuel pressure regulator and a brand new ryco fuel filter. What do you guys think? Under boost and load it drives perfectly but now I am very cautious as I don't want it to lean out on me. Any way to test the fuel pump? Can confirm fuel pump IS NOT PRIMING!
  22. I remember someone here in NSW got defected for an enclosed pod filter. The cops excuse was that it wasn't sealed off. That is brilliant. You've got an intake kit that you want to put into a sealed box. I should get a job in a fast food chain and when a cop comes in jam a cork into the bottom of the straw. Yeah, its fun sucking drink through a sealed straw, isnt it.
  23. I know they are side feed but they way they work is fuel coming in from the side and a valve moving up and down and the pressure in the fuel system will squirt the fuel through the nozzles. I never said fuel goes in from the top, I said its the top of a solenoid which moves up and down controlling fuel flow, which is correct. If you disconnect the power to the injector, it wont push fuel out. Sure it will get fed into the side but the valve wont move up and allow fuel to be squirted. The only part I guessed about is that part being a moving part but my concept is correct.
