  1. Enough off-topic chat. It's the same suspects continually doing it - if you keep going, you'll get a holiday. Results only. If you want to chat, use the PM function to keep this thread clean and on topic Thanks.
  2. 1 Gets you merry 2 Gets you singing 3 Is a sure fire way to end up in the Shepp Lake
  3. Hehe i knew that reply was coming GT3076 on E85 has been proven to around 330-340rwkw on E85 or the HTA variant for something better again
  4. Kinda my point. Without a reference point - there is no definition of "good"
  5. Best DECA thread reply in a while
  6. You all keep getting warned, yet you keep going against the board rules Some of you are not far off being banned.
  7. I'm not reading much favourable information out of IB TBH volts vs heat clock for clock against SB. Not saying they are "getting too hot" but they are most certainly hotter than the SB items for same clocks. It's gonna happen when they die shrink and pack more into it
  8. I knew this thread would bring the lulz at some point
  9. Even less RPM really, 3000rpm more than enough, light throttle should be ok to put around - but thats it. put around.
  10. TE37s now sold. Other rims still here - Will entertain offers near asking.
  11. 600k or whatever the price is - madness
  12. Depends what option you want - Grant listed the stock rebuild. Nismo will depend on the price you pay from supplier + whatever labour comes too.
  13. Wrap up/pics thread here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/399438-deca-may-12-wrap-up/
  14. I will also say though, ensure you spend a good 1,500-2,000kms learning how it works before pushing it too hard as the car will snap oversteer mid corner on trailing throttle and is not something for the inexperienced/unaware as you'll end up off the road on a hills run if you go too hard. It nearly caught me out a week ago and I knew it was going to happen The GTR behaves very differently with a good tight diff in the rear, certainly makes it fun and much different to a RWD as you've got front wheels driving in the mix as well.
  15. If it's a standard GTR rear end (non-spec), you can have it shimmed/rebuilt. Racepace do it. Or get a Nismo centre, I'd advise that option - they are awesome and not much more expensive. If it's a v-spec then you are in for a bit of bill - I've just been through it Only option (decent) is to buy a non-vspec diff/rear housing. Then get a Nismo 1.5 GT Pro - install diff into normal GTR housing, install housing into car. Can tell you it works a treat
  16. How do you get better mileage with 10% ethanol? You need to use more fuel of it to get the benefits from it. Simlar to E85, but on a lesser scale of course
  17. Doubt it makes much (if any) tangible difference. Could simply be a looks thing as much as performance. The GTR one on an angle though - at least with a S3 front lip - the bottom of the cooler sits even with the bar. If it was vertical there would be quite a gap up the top of the cooler so it could be about reducing the gaps between bars/cores etc.
  18. First it was your mate, and now it's you? As stated - cannot be done on a standard ECU. It's a waste of time.
  19. Bear in mind, you'd be better off getting it tuned on 98, otherwise it'll always need to run that specific fuel. I've noticed at time United to run out of their 100. I use it, but i adjust the tune at the same time when i do
  20. you wouldnt go Ivy Bridge if overclocking, too much heat for the volts Better off with the older gen Sandy at this point IMO. gotta wait for the next stepping to see if they will get better, but honestly i do not believe they will and a Sandy I5 (2500k) is the best buy - even more so now
  21. You can come drive mine round the block and see how the clutch feels if you want. WARNING: You will want one after doing so.
  22. I reckon mine has done even more than yours, and it's still perfectly fine. Hell I've done 8,000rpm full launches on Hoosier Drag radials - clutch didn't miss a beat and still hasn't. +1 for coppermix, it really is the only choice for someone that wants the best performance, best clutch feel. They are MUCH lighter than any other twin I've used - ORC, OS etc. And all Nissan boxes are a little "notchy" in GTR's I've found (GTR/RB25), not one car i've driven has been like silky. The Getrag 6-speed though does have a different feel to it, you can notice it soon as you drive.
  23. ^ sure that's not just the BOV's "bouncing" off each other? Sure sounds like it And don't port the turbos, they are designed to work as is. Porting will hurt response and probably not make anymore power.
