  1. Ye it's unlockable via the ECU in the EVO IX IIRC, just need to know where to do it. Not enabled standard though, nor would you
  2. Hrmm... If it worked like that though, a P-Plater could effectively get 15 points in 3 years, which doesn't then sound right as is more than someone on Full. Pretty sure it was a MAX of 5 in any 12 month span, with 12 overall. Either way a call to VicRoads would confirm/deny it if you need to know.
  3. Please allow 15 business days for processing. It's not even been 5 days yet mate. We are volunteers, it takes a while
  4. Yeah pre-order/entry when they go up will be cheaper for sure, and only PAID Club Members get that option. Public won't and different pricing will apply. "on the day" purchase will be a bit more etc. I thought you were pinching a ride?
  5. Under $200 for Track day & S'n'S. Spectator entry to everything is 100% free Comparatively WRX Club usually charge $190 for their members ($210 for non-mbrs) for a Winton Track day. SAU Nats should be around $175-$185 provided the last 2 sponsors come on board. Crossing fingers in that department and should know more hopefully very soon. Also adding more trophy classes to the Trackday, so another 5-6 or so to be announced soon. S'n'S will be like $5 i reckon. Depends how my meeting with the council goes on Thurs (costs like security guards etc) Burnout comp still in the air. If it goes ahead, $50 - with a $500 prize. Also have 2x 1500hp burnout comp cars that might be willing to come and give an exhibition Working on an after-trackday-party for the Sat night (starting say 7.30-8pm). Might be $20-$25 a head which gets fingerfood and bringing up a decent Melb DJ (or two) I know. Merch - no idea on costs yet. But looking to do a t-shirt/DVD combo, meeting with suppliers in Fri with that actually. So Trackday/S'n'S + merch/night out will be ~$250 I reckon.
  6. Massive effort from team SA! Mighty impressed... Will be able to put entry forms up very soon, minor change of the regs once again and for a good cause... Trying get insurance to allow passenger laps so that there can be "hot laps" in a certain R35 Time Attack car for some lucky raffle winners... More details once they are 100% confirmed but it's looking good
  7. No it's P-Platers that acquire more than 5 points in a 12 month period, lose the plastic. That's the additional rule, not a different one. The 3 year rule still applies to everyone for points expiration far as I'm aware. Regardless of transition. If you got 3 points 12 months ago, it's 2 years before they reset.
  8. Im sure somewhere you'll be able to buy one that blocks 850mhz (3G), given the US uses it too
  9. Its not stress on the drivetrain you need to worry about. Its stress on the motor/turbo. That's where the issue is. You'll be replacing turbos quite often if its used even semi-regularly.
  10. Mod plate means nothing down here in Vic. The motor will need all the emissions controls fitted for that motors age. So if it was out of a 2000 model say, it would need those controls fitted. If it was pre 1976 i believe you'd have little worry but as it's 80s i dont think its as easy. A VASS will point you in the right direction, but dont be under the impression it'll be a simple affair.
  11. fark 24 people listed as SAU? Impressive indeed!
  12. Yeah exactly, its getting so hot and causing so much stress you cant put any timing into it as a result. 700hp+ of turbo with a rear end capable of probably 400hp max... Not going to end well. You need at least a .82 sized A/R, even a 1.06 would be fine (when talking GT35) Will depend what options you have from precision but anything inbetween there as it also depends on how the A/R is calculated as the housings wont be the same as Garrett I'm assuming. Maybe ask Precision what housing they have that is between a Garrett .82 and 1.06 That would probably be the best choice.
  13. Just use the phone. It's a menu option under licensing. I believe it is still free.
  14. When I get time to do it. I do it in batches. Sometime this week.
  15. +1 Once the rings are bed in, which occurs in the first few mins anyway... Tune it up. 3 motors I've had built were all done that way. Current one has over 10,000kms on it, doesn't breathe one iota of oil. Breaking in slowly is a urban myth these days with tight clearances etc.
  16. factory block or modified block? when i say modified, ie- grout filled etc. 400rwkw isnt a problem for one that is properly built.
  17. +1 Any decent sized muffler that is straight through, will be fine. And don't get a Varex. They are illegal in Victoria so will cause more problems than they will fix.
  18. same one im thinking of? either way that sucks
  19. Ye none of the ECU's will give you any more power than the other. But you will notice the increase in power and more so drive ability etc. Still think 3.5k ECU option for a relatively stock car, with no major mod plans... is wasting valuable money. With the money you have left you could get a decent set of tyres, or upgrade the brakes. Diff or clitch even. All of which will offer far more benefit than the extra cash on the ECU for the same end result.
  20. Depends on what state you are in. Given its an aftermarket ECU related item.
  21. Bayside blue ye?
  22. Done Slip - once you confirm you are coming then let me know and i'll grab some details off you
  23. Had a chat with an owner of a R34 GTR out West @ BP carwash in the early hours of this morning, vspec if eyes serve me correctly. Clean car indeed Also had a chat to another guy who had a GTR whilst there. Was a busy night @ the carwash at 1am
  24. Yeah functions/aux inputs/logging that in a street car, you simply don't need at all. So hence you pay a nice fat premium for nothing. Nistune or PFC all the way for this guy, will be half the price. Clearly stated in the first post was that the turbo and other modifications were not going to be touched.
  25. Holy fark - 10 cars, that would be an awesome! Noel (Fineline) and a few others were all looking to come down as well so you would get some decent priced half-way accommodation as well if you were going to do it in two parts. When you've worked out the cars you are bringing - shoot me a PM or gimme a buzz if you still have my number Trent. Would like to use some of them as Featured Cars on the website, facebook and all that kinda thing That goes for anyone else as well with a car thats a little different! Shaping up to be quite the spectacle indeed. Be quite amazing to see a good fleet of R35s about.
