  1. Why not just have R32 nights with SAU Members? You'll never get enough numbers to run your own trackdays etc.
  2. haha Christian is looking into it, its a strange problem and certainly getting worse
  3. Unfortunately ORC don't put part numbers on anything, so there is no way to tell far as i know. Not going to claim its one or the other as it cannot be confirmed.
  4. EB price match. So as long as the retail store/competitor has it in stock you don't have a problem (cant compare to online) I caught them out on SC2 in that exact manner when Dick Smith were selling it the cheapest. They don't openly advertise it of course.
  5. Measure the wheels is the only way. Honestly I cannot see them being any different what so ever as the cartridge will still be the same. It's just a re-branding. I'm not sure about all this "S" business as the S was never on the actual ID tag/part number. It was just a part of the frame/family name (id 2860RS).
  6. metal plate, drill 4-5 smallish holes bolt it between front pipe and cat. poor mans silencer. Just make sure the plate isn't too thin.
  7. In 3" ? There are plenty of exhausts in 3" that are well under 90db @ 4500rpm which is roughly the RB20 test mark. Anything Fujitsubo with two mufflers generally are all OK and quiet in 3"
  8. REAR BAR - SOLD! Other parts still here. R33 GTR Alloy Bonnet, super light, hard to come by - $550 R33 GTR Drivers side guard & guard riser - $200 ORC Twin Plate Clutch R32/R33 GTR - As new. Plates are barely worn as per pics - $1150 ORC Clutch has 4.61mm on the plates, done ~500kms given such little wear. Save yourself $600 on an excellent clutch
  9. I actually had my short shifter taken out all those years ago. You tend to out shift the box too often due to the short through, which resulted in crunching the gearbox quite often. Went back to stock and much less chance to out shift the synchros etc. Just something to think about. I dont have a lot of mechanical sympathy
  10. please post in correct "state - event" section.
  11. Sounds like a business trader/ad to me! If you wish to trade here on SAU, then you are required to become a paying trader like everyone else. Please see here for further details: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/ Thanks Ash
  12. Dare I speak these words... But why don't you use a SR?
  13. 200rwkw @ just after 4000rpm is pretty decent mate for those turbos when you consider they will mash out over 400!
  14. Can you fit the stock intake on? Based on the testing Roy did - there was no point upgrading the stock intake unless over at least 280rwkw. Infact upgrading it to quite an expensive brand, hurt response and power. So in effect it went backwards compared to the stock intake so go with that if you can fit it in. In all honesty that manifold you are looking at is junk. But thats ebay, and that's all you will get for $400
  15. I should be there. Get outta work @ 7 so i might be a bit late.
  16. Oh so its the other way around? IE... New labelling that has the extra 4 digits? Not many resellers have the 4 digit number ATM hence i might well be wrong with the above. Most resellers are still using the old "XXXXXXX-5" part number.
  17. Targa doesnt restrict ECU choice like that but you've found out why they would have kept the stock ECU in there - run the injectors. Not sure if its a limitation of the M8 or not however but that's not the first time i've heard of that being done with M8 & stock ECU kept in place for that purpose. Seems odd that it would be needed
  18. Thats nice. Use the correct section, and follow the rules of that section.
  19. You missed one of the numbers in the first post... Hence people are confused. Now we have the full number set... which is 707160-5005S http://www.sonicperformance.com.au/Turbochargers/Garrett-GT-Ball-Bearing/GT28s/pl.php Could well be old numbering, Garrett did alter it a while back. But when i say old - it must be 3-4 years at least. My set of -5s were 18 months old when purchased them in Oct of last year. They had the new ID tag
  20. The only requirement is basically that you are a good bloke lol. Any car is welcome to participate in the C/Ship, anyone can become a member as well. No issues at all with any of it
  21. I see what you mean about a tight fit. JEBUS! Thanks for pics!!!
  22. Ye i was gonna ask what was the fitment ended up looking like, how it was for room etc. Are the high mounted?
  23. HKS actuators with the GT-SS kit are not 17psi base. They are 14-14.7psi outta the box. I know because I have them on my GTS-R. They are identical to the ones you buy counter from GCG, just with a little HKS logo sprayed on. What debate? The GT-SS and Garrett -9 are identical in every way. Anyone that says they are different doesn't know what they are talking about
  24. And what about the $300+ in tax that you'll are potentially going to cop? You can get -9s locally for around $2800-$3000. That's complete with gaskets ($100) & actuators ($250). If you paid $450 for 2 actuators, then you were stung yet again. They are $250 from GCG every day of the week. The HKS Kit costs $300 more before it even leaves Japan. Add freight, add Tax... Even conservatively you've paid $3700 All for what? A spray-on HKS logo on the 2 actuators. That's it. There is no other difference. The HKS Kit is only comparative when the dollar was above 95, which when it was - the HKS kit was a good buy.
