Worn syncho's Try changing the oil to redline shockproof. If that doesn't fix it, then only was is a box rebuild.

Were you nekkid in half the photo's? Or something pehaps a little more sinister...
-
Not just me guys - there are a good 6 other people on the SAU-Vic Committee putting in a fair whack of work in the wings to make this happen Be good to sit down and have many beers with you all!

Nope Waiting for 3 sponsors still, wont have them sorted till end of next week as they are busy given Superlap committments. If everyone comes onboard as expected, it'll be under $200. By comparison a normal cost for Winton is $190/80 cars (no trophies). We are only having 60-65 cars (and big f*k off trophies), so everyone gets maximum track time for probably the same amount of money Quite good value indeed, and only possible thanks to sponsors.

I think Martin means entry into the event Entries should be up in 2-3 weeks. Final signoff is taking a little while for insurance/regulations as there have been last min changes etc. Entry form will be 100% online and take about 5-8mins to complete (I've tested it a few times, works nicely). The easiest and fairest way will be if you all do it individually IMO. In more detail... Each SAU State club has 10 'allocated' spots for the Trackday. So the first 10 SAU:SA members to submit their entry form will 100% be getting a spot Anyone submitting after the first '10', will go into the waiting list based on submission date/time (state irrelevant). So say if QLD only fills 5 out of their 10 spots (after 2 weeks of being open). Those 5 spots will then be allocated to whoever is next on the waiting list. If you were next inline, you'd get an email saying you are in, send payment etc etc. This was deemed the fairest way by the SAU Clubs who've all contributed to this. The Show'n'Shine has ooodles of spaces so anyone submitting from SAU:SA will be in. I believe Vu is looking at doing some video work for the official DVD too

Got the results yet? Wanna see those more than anything else dude Keen to see how the look on a 3ltr.
-
No need, I can tell you 100% mine fit over Alcons. Tested earlier while I was at Racepace for ya. Will chuck pics up when I get home tomorrow mornin, plenty of room
-
Sorry, but it does. Been proven countless times now on every circuit GTRs (360-380rwkw) down here running a factory core - it's not even worth going into really. Oh btw and you can make 370cc injectors flow more than 370cc, its called upping the rail pressure. Very simple concept

Anymore than 40 is a problem. 45 check engine light will flash. If its only occured once, then its once-off. Next time it does it note down RPM/gear/rough load. Could just be a cell or two that required slight adjustment.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Comparing a stock exhaust to a stock cooler in the same sentence shows how little of an idea you have.
-
Whats wrong with the stock item exactly?

Also if people that are coming to the SAU Nats, want a pic of their car on the Facebook album - shoot a pic though saunationals 'at' gmail.com Already a few pics going up/coming though.

You are very wrong. 1. The Z-tune is not a 2.6ltr 2. The VR has to deal with emission laws that are what, 10 years newer/stricter in every single way. 3. RB26 is a motor essentially from 1987/88 4. The R35 is higher production, factory, with a warranty etc. Z-Tune was basically just a once-off special model not to be made in high production therefore giving to some lenience in many cases. Who cars about 0-100 and a 10 sec 1/4 mile. The R35 isn't just a straight line car. It is an overall package which i said in the 3rd reply. If a VR came with "stage 2" mods (whatever that means), when why with nothing more than a tune/boost are people making an extra 40awke more? It's because of emission & longevity rules. Same as a RB26 you get similar gains with tune/boost.

Does outlook express have a "download headers only" option like Outlook itself? Would take 5-10mins tops to download just the email header information. Then you can bulk delete from there.

They are both. Some people have had their cars towed etc (Organised). Some just outright stolen (Opportunity). The opportunistic ones generally don't have alarms fitted, and if they do - clearly the install wasn't too crash hot. If recovered, usually they are destroyed or burnt out/thrashed etc. Organised ones have never shown up again best of my knowledge reading various threads, like i said earlier - they would have to do something wrong. Organised people watch a particular car for weeks at a time, its well planned and well executed. The only real protection is insurance, and ensuring all your mods are listed with a good agreed value. You really shouldn't need to spend more than $400-500 (supplied & installed) on an alarm/immobiliser valid for Aust Insurance. So then everyone knows how each others alarms are installed? lol... Only a very select few know how my secondary immobilisers are wired in etc. Maybe 5-6 people at the most. The less people that know things like that the better. Even what brand of alarm is something you shouldn't be telling people.

I tend to hit a wall around 1.30-2pm on a dayshift. But as i finish @ 3:30pm and walk home... By the time i walk home I'm all invigorated etc. Usually feel fine in the mornings of late, never used to though. Found it was lack of enough sleep and diet, so changed both and mornings aren't so bad anymore for me Dunno if that fits your bill or not? (cant test for 4 weeks though, working night shifts, i seem fine on those strangely)

A GPS & Mobile jammer costs less than a couple hundred bucks. Costs less than actually installing a GPS/Mobile monitoring setup does. Friend of mine had a mobile one that blocked the main bands. Problem is it worked for a good 15 meters so effectively disabling any signal before you are even next to the car... There are two types of crime in this instance. Convenience/Opportunity & Organised. Convenience/Opportunity is stopped/impeaded by alarms/immobilisers/tracking etc. Organised realistically can't be stopped by anything other than something in their plan going wrong - not because of your alarm/gps/immobiliser. So as i said, good in theory - poor in practice against an organised syndicate. These people want your car, they quite simply will get it. You don't engage in organised crime and go in uprepared. If you have a tow truck, you have a jammer.

Cooling Pro Intercooler Install R33 S2

An alarm is only ever as good as the installer. My immobiliser cost me $3 It's a hidden relay that requires completion of the circuit. Secret button and you are done. To steal my car you have to tow it, or rewire the ignition. If they are going to that length then nothing will stop them anyway. I also have a separate alarm system, screamer/keyless entry etc. More convenience than anything else (for insurance). Whilst this idea is good in theory, it really wont achieve much at all. GPS is too easily countered by organised syndicates.

Import Monster Sauvic Deca Motorkhana - 2011 Round 3

Or just go and sit @ pub for an hour or something and wait for the traffic to die off if you cant leave early. Ive done that before (when not the driver). As it beats sitting in a car for an extra hour -
Good ideas there Ian, and valid points. It's people like you travelling as far as you are - is what we are trying to accommodate best. Hence limited track day numbers to give everyone as much track time as possible for their travel. Best Modified though - interesting class given there is already "best R34" and "best overall GTR" - the same car would potentially already take two trophies and then best mod as well. Unfortunately the budget for the event isn't endless so can have unlimited trophies for all classes. Although that said I've been talking to 2-3 places for trophies and getting rough quotes. If its as all possible there will be more classes. Will come down to whatever kinda deal can be organised really Hoping to get all the SAU Club Presidents along to do the judging, and then one club member as well or something. Was also thinking of a SAU Club "grudge trophy" for the Club with the most attitude, and then each year it gets taken into account and various clubs could win it for the year haha. Nothing like a bit of friendly rivalry,

If you swapped R34 diff gearing to GTS4/GTR gearing, you'd get the same result... Given thats what Mines had done. You are talking 3.4 --> 4.1-4.3 diff gearing. Thats such a massive change it's not funny. Also combined with super light flywheel, carbon prop shafts and some wheel spin, course it'll spin up fast. If you put the normal diff gears back in... it'd be no more spectacular than any other R34 GTR build of that power level. You've never had a GTR with 600-700hp worth of turbo on it, I can tell you now there is noticeable delay between full open throttle and coming onto boost when you plant the foot. Either way the Hollinger really is the only viable option.

grrenline.jp have always been the cheapest for Nismo AFMs unless someone else is having a sale etc. Around $800 landed give/take

+1 to everything Richard said in this thread. Get the Garrett -9s (identical to HKS GT-SS). They will start building boost hard by 3300rpm on a 2.6ltr and by 4000rpm you are well on your way with over 20psi. That will give you around 300-330rwkw. Note they will fall over above 7500rpm. That is fine though as they come on so early it's not funny. The added bonus is you are using less RPM all the time and shifting earlier which is only going to help reliability.
