  1. No you cannot go for a drive. You have the concept wrong. Plug and Play simply means that it connects to your stock loom without modification, and works. All it comes with a base map, that is configured for a 100% stock car only. If you have aftermarket bits, you need to configure them within the ECU. The ECU does not know what parts you have over stock unless you tell it. So given your modifications - Do NOT attempt to go for a drive. You must have it configured and tuned.
  2. one thread is enough
  3. I've lost count the amount of times I've hit my limiter with my N1 pump. Hell @ the drags i even flat change just for a laugh. Virtually 12 months on, no issue at all. Guess you northern people get different N1 pumps to us down here.
  4. lol ye i was just stirring MOAR GT3! Yer my location isnt so good anymore, if I am though i will give you a holler
  5. hahaha I think its more about event diversity. Combine the two, cater for everyone - have a big event.
  6. lol had a feeling you'd be the one to say that I like the idea though simply because its @ the dome. It certainly wont suit low/mass aero cars because of the bowl @ the dome. Other tracks it would work fine. The Dome is certainly more suited to a Dutton Rally/Targa style setup.
  7. I thought we were talking about the GT3? You gonna bring that around and show me?
  8. Have you ever thought that its because you are just an old bastard? I don't mind watching it They were carrying heaps of speed @ the dome too so there was some seriously long slides being held right against the barriers
  9. As the other two said. Get the alignment checked, if that is correct, it comes down to tyres. I had near perfect traction with 280rwkw. Could plant the foot in any gear without issues.
  10. Supp regs of each event mate. They vary in some instances be it AASA or CAMS. Usually though as long as you meet CAMS, you'll be right with AASA
  11. This is the million dollar question Need to get a Garrett Distro to confirm 110% i think.
  12. Yeah using the Dome is so rare that I aint missing out. Just remember though the discounted price will only apply IF you have a confirmed/paid entry to the WRX round the day before. So missing the Saturday of Track Battle.
  13. Yeah the middle area of the Thunderdome is all grass/fenced off from the track. You get about a 270 degree view of the Dome so you don't miss out on much of the action. Will be quite different. You actually can get pretty farken close to the track edge too, will be sweet. There will be Club Displays etc. So it'll kinda be like a small festival of car pr0n. Andrew & I will talk next week so once a price is confirmed I'll post up And yep, just the dome. It'll be similar to the videos Martin. But replace the witches hats with water barriers. Course will be slightly different too I'm told.
  14. SHIT i forgot it was Thursday night BBL
  15. You'll never find more tech info that there is here though, or the sheer range of parts for sale. Three just isn't the numbers to achieve such a thing. Cruises and stuff fair enough, but you'll limit your exposure by trying so do it separate. If you organised it on SAU it would get far more views. Unfortunately you'll never have meets like a 32 owners club in Japan as there simply ain't the volume of cars here and they don't have a cult style passion and following.
  16. There will be a DVD Each state club is hopefully gonna pitch in (discussions going on atm). Will have some documentary style stuff, some hot laps, interviews etc. Should be sweet
  17. 400hp isn't a problem for the stock one. Infact 600hp still isn't.
  18. And some more info about the event
  19. Ok so who's going? When: 24th & 25th Sept Where: Calder Park - Thunderdome Event Info/Regs: http://trackbattle.com.au/trackbattle/ ATTENDING: R31Nismoid/Ash emts/Martin ssxRicho/John Let Me Drive/Scott Russman/Russ paulR32gtr/Paul Adz/Adam I've chucked my entry in. Not gonna miss a super rare chance for some action @ the Thunderdome!!! I realise this is there is a Saturday WRX (Sandown) day for the SAU-Vic C/Ship. I've spoken with Andrew tonight and organised a generous deal for SAU-Vic Members... SAU-Vic Member - Special pricing for Sunday only $250 for street class down from $380 $380 for tuner class down from $580 NOTE: You MUST be entered into the Sandown Trackday on the Sat 24th to be eligeble for this. Sunday has much more Track Time, hence the price isn't a 50% reduction. SAU-Vic will likely have a Club Display as well. Commmittee will discuss this over the next week or two and a thread will go up in the members section. Further details on that later.
  20. As others have said - if keeping the stock turbo etc. They don't bother spending up big. There are much cheaper options that will do exactly the same thing.
  21. Please have a read of the sticky thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/13305-local-wreckers-and-workshops/
  22. Yeah there will be some ads in HPI and stuff Whether they come along to check it out or not is upto the publication.
  23. SAU Classes have nothing to do with the actual supp regs of the event.
