  1. IMO that build is rather expensive for what a GT-RS is capable off. Lot of money for now much gain overall realistically. The GT-RS will only net around 250-260rwkw which is what a stock RB25DET will do day in, day out. Agree with starting off with a VCT head. Best way to do it if you really do want to.
  2. Tried driving with boots or runners on? lol. I just prefer a smaller form shoe so that you don't get an 'edge' stuck on a pedal or something then you are busy. I also find a thin sole gives better feedback through the brake pedal. If you have runners on for example they will actually absorb a bit of pedal feel i found with my Asics runners/trainers.
  3. Nice timing bluey33 Next time i'll bring some smaller tyres. Hard to get helli's going with 285s lol
  4. There current generation of Puma Drift Cat's are terrible unfortunately The older gen from a couple years ago were 10x better so in 12 months im hoping they change style slightly again back to something closer to the old format as they are super comfy and great to drive in. I still have my old pair to use when @ an event etc. One has a slight hole in the sole so i cant use them if its wet cause walking around it fill with water and wet socks is the fken pits.
  5. Tyre delamination. Where it basically falls apart the outer layer(s) in chunks. Someone will have pics.
  6. I had tiny delam from last DECA on 2 of my semi's, but 4WD circle work will do that They were not far off dead anyway so didn't bother me.
  7. OEM BOV's leak @ low throttle/idle, aftermarket ones generally do not. Some people have issues, some do not. It's case dependant but hard piping makes it far more likely.
  8. It's your BOV, or rather the fact you don't have stock ones.
  9. Dan rolls all ways if his dance moves are anything to go by...
  10. Sounds like you don't know what is even on the car if you don't know the size. it'll be fine, but don't full throttle to 3000rpm either. just light accel
  11. lol no excuses here, the WD's were well deserved. One can't do 4WD circle work and expect to get a decent time
  12. It's a car mate. It's designed to be driven. You are no more likely to breakdown than anyone else. Just get the 100k service done. That alone will cost you more than you are thinking TBH.
  13. Laid some much faster times that last DECA, interesting indeed! 4 x WD, 1 x cone and still managed 16th... I've gotta stop getting WDs
  14. I'm @ Heathcote practising for Drag Battle the week after... I'll be in for next round!

  16. You are talking about a turbo spinning anywhere from 40,000rpm up to 150,000rpm due to exhaust gas driving it. You'll never come close to this with what you are proposing and a gross waste of time. Moving out of FI as this is not performance.
  17. Not really worth the effort. Buy something larger than factory, you can usually get stuff in the for sale area for 100-150 so i hope you didnt pay too much for stock items...
  18. $300 AUD is generally the "sweet" spot for cost/performance. So anything +/- $20 will do basically. Will run @ 1900x1200 effortlessly and for the next 12-18 months no drama.
  19. You can just buy some PC2-8500 sticks (1066) for $100 I CBF checking all my settings, but depending on the clock rate etc you might have to lower the ram timing anyway. You could probably get away with the sticks you have now, if you go back to 4gb of ram. My 1066 sticks are @ 450, 1:1 with 2T. Thats for 4.1ghz with the mutli on 9x My CPU has run this basically 24x7 for the last 3-4 years so if you have good cooling you should aim a bit higher than 3.5 IMO. You'll hit 4 easily. 4 sticks wont help your over clocking, should stick to 2.
  20. Ye putting it in say, 4" piping will give more resolution as the AFM is measuring less air. Hence Nismo and Z32 AFM's are close - but not identical in resolution.
  21. I quite enjoyed the wet skidpan in the morning. Added a totally different challenge to it all, I was very impressed with the AD08s and how they were totally predictable in the wet when sliding a GTR. Quite surprising indeed.
  22. There is so much info, results, threads i find it hard to believe you cant work it out. Search please.
  23. Take it to a drag strip and find out. Closed.
