I'd be guessing you wont be 90-92dB @ 5100rpm... My 3.5" has 2 mufflers, the larger of the two is bigger than your single one to start off with and i could only manage 91 Would be good if you could go and get it tested so you know rather than guess. Sound level is very hard to estimate.

You think about stuff far too much Dan A GTR BOV setup is behind the driver side headlight area, so it too goes cross-bay, back to the turbo side. There is no issue with a long return pipe. Plumb it in between turbo inlet and AFM. Ideally you want it as close to the T/B as possible, but it's not a show stopper. I've run BOVs pre-cooler without issue.

If there are no shops to tune though, what you doing to do there? You also need injectors And for the record there is no way you made 230rwkw on the factory turbo, its impossible. At 10psi, 190rwkw would be about right.

Far as i could gather he's not actually got any information to prove 96dB factory, and there is no way a stock GTR was ever 96dB anyhow. He is going off some thread started by someone here that is just plain wrong/misleading.

^ problem with quite a large number of Jap 3.5" exhausts - they aren't really 3.5" at all. They have step downs to 3" near the mufflers/resonators etc to keep the noise down which hurts performance etc.
