  2. There will be no further For Sale areas created, it's simply too much to managed. Future plan will merge them all into 1 anyway. If the current section isn't being moderated correctly, and it is just turning into a chat thread each time - contact the mods for the area. It's their job to support you guys. It wont be seen as whinging/complaining, we are here to improve the experience with that type of thing. Can't really see a need for a Stagea-WA type section to be perfectly honest.
  3. Confirmed today what i thought... didn't have anywhere near 370rwkw was less than 350, maybe 330 car has issue, will get it run in a few weeks so you can update power

Live and learn really... why you'd refund i do not understand. least it was probably 150-200 at best, could've been worse.
  5. Read the Vic section, thereis a sticky thread with that exact info. or you could just search with 'wrecker' in the Vic area and get PAGES of results. Search first, start threads later.
  6. No, not even close Use the search, there are detailed instructions in this very section about RB26 turbo removal. thanks.

If only Ken Lay would man up and do the same thing. His own road negligence cost a life of a fellow officer in the 70s, but of course he 'forgot' due to trauma... what actually happened in the accident he was solely responsible for. If he wasn't part of the force he'd have a criminal record. Fken load of shit the Victorian Police administration, most of it caused by Bracks of course.

Yeah cause you didn't win. That's the problem far as i understand it.
  9. You need the gate spring to be as close to your target boost as possible to eliminate gate creeping.
  10. My old e8400 still runs 4.1ghz 24x7... almost 4 years old Gotta love it
  11. Does i5 have an upgrade path or is it still going to die off, making i7 the clear winner? (not been following much the past 8-12 months)
  12. The make things cheaply, to maximise profits. Business 101. They are not Australian a lot of the time, and therefore do not have to even deal with the consumer laws here. Whether it does/does not kill your motor due to failure - they don't care, all they care about is that you sent them money.
  13. Whatever you do - Don't let anyone tell you that you need an aftermarket ECU for the EVO. Your stock ECU is fully tuneable, the same as Nistune is for Nissan only better. Good mate of mine tunes EVOs The stocker ECU also has some of the best functionality you can get for a street car, best of all, it's free.
  14. Much dreaming. Go out it on a proper dyno if you want to know. Also doubles as a good check for AFR and general car well being.
  15. My place of employment saw fit to make me do work for the past 3 hours. Here now though Oh and i think we need a Mexican emoticon to add to the bunch, ill go look for one
  16. Top end will stay the same. You need to run 25psi+ to make use of -10s 20psi is just a warm up! IMO, the turbo change is the better option. That said it is also the most expensive so only you can decide what suits you. you will gain 1000rpm which for around $2500 (turbo swap + purchase - selling of -10). It'll be the best value you'll ever see on a bang for buck scale. Perhaps wait till Piggaz posts his results and see for yourself before deciding?
  17. So? (im confused...) You don't have the motor to support them... Why use em? Get something that will suit the setup is what you should be aiming for. End of the day everyone is saying the same thing and pick turbos suited to the application, but it seems you still want to put 2835s on... So i guess go with that.
  18. Wow 180rwkw @ 5000rpm... You could make 280rwkw @ 5000rpm - with a simple turbo change, and have the same peak power on 20psi...
  19. Ye just get -5s like everyone else. About your only option mate if low mounts/defects is the main concern, especially if its a street car. Factory size, Garrett housing, everything bolts up and you'll make 370-400rwkw depending on the motor. Bottom end done as in... A 'typical' bottom end, or one built to take 9000rpm+ Big big difference between the two!
  20. Assuming you mean rear... That'll just make them even more surge prone pushing more air around earlier Its like people that put a .63 rear on a 700hp GT35 - madmans business. If you pulling the turbos off to swap housings, you might as well just put on better turbos overall.
  21. Well I can see the problem already, without the pictures!
  22. I mean you won't have 20psi before 5000rpm with -10s on a 2.6ltr That can't really be put in the same sentence as responsive (Wait till Piggaz see's this thread lol) At a minimum you'll need injectors, exhaust. I'd also say to make the most you'll need super cams, heaps of head-work, bigger valves - basic terms - the works, and then some. You'd be aiming for at least 25psi as a starting point as well. Depends on if the motor will take that however with timing in it. Totally depends on how it was built. Might find its not even possible. All of this assumes you have a expensive bottom end too. Just your normal standard rebuild really ain't going to take that, especially the RPM part. You would need to spin to at least 8500-9000 to get use outta the power range on the 2.6
  23. The list goes on, 5k won't get you far at all, double it and you might start getting closer
  24. come on, you can't say coming on 20psi @ 5000rpm is responsive! 700cc injectors are already too small for -10s... You need ~1000cc to flow the power they are capable of on PUMP. Add in E85 - you need ID2000 (2000cc), and a good fuel system to back it up.
