lol @ self tapper. Have a read of the entire reg though Ant, its all pointless anyway/not ever followed. There is no chance in the world, strapped into a harness, that you'll be able to reach the extinguisher unless its bolted to the roof above your head! Given the purpose of a harness is to stop one from moving!

Ask for the cartridge and bearings back. If they have blue scoring on them, sure was lack of oil. Just because oil comes out doesn't mean it was enough or at some other time it wasn't semi blocked etc.

Please read the TD06 thread, has all the info. thanks.

TBH i don't trust any. No anti-virus will ever be 100% fool proof though unless you have total lock-down which then allows users to not do a thing. My workplace is semi-like that and no word of a lie, when the scan runs daily, you cannot use the PC for an hour due to a crap implementation. So I just pull the plug and reboot it lol. The scan isn't intelligent enough to realise it never finished (our desktop guys make me laugh almost weekly) End of the day anyone relying on anti-virus as a home user to 100% protect them is kidding themselves as no anti-virus will protect you from clicking a bogus link in an email/website. Yet most average users assume this to be the case unfortunately. The more invasive a anti-virus is, the more it will piss you off and you'll end up cancelling the alerts so often that you'll be caught out anyway

MSE is not an enterprise product though, its for the average joe home user. Not a company that is prone to far wider and more dangerous attacks. If an organisation did as such, then they are simply retarded and deserve it.

The more colours/layers you have on a design the more expensive the will get. In low volume it'll be even worse as you won't order much more than 50-100 initially sheerly due to that cost. Also the map of Tassie - detailed - won't work as it's too fine/intricate to cut out. So it'll need to be altered as Damo said with a free-hand type thing perhaps done/created. So aim to pick a "top 3" design wise, and take it to a few companies and work on it from there with what you can/cant and pricing. Even small things like material used can make/break a sticker and can affect costs. Once you buy 100 you can't just throw em away Try see other examples of their work, and how it easy it is to apply one if possible. You'd be surprised @ how many places make a sticker which looks good, but is so ridiculously hard to attach due to poor glue type or really thick/tough vinyl etc.

He would have boost spiking issues/control, not boost response/ramp issues. -

Well don't just go in there saying that mate. It's just going to cost you more money. I've never seen an AVO actuator so its possible they can put more pre-load on it. But then given you are running an EBC, perhaps it's not quite set-up correctly either - or its both. I'd simply be asking the question first, give them a chance to fix it or see what they say. If it's not satisfactory in your eyes, or you just want a 2nd opinion for peace of mind - then go somewhere else. RE Customs, Sabaddin Automotive, Chequered Tuning - All 3 very reasonable workshops that have worked on many skylines/RB's lately & not too far from you/reasonably priced. -
I ran nothing for the best part of 4 years simply because everything else was too intrusive/took up too much resources etc. Hence I went with MSE once it had a bit of market penetration/review etc. You can watch porn till the cows come home and not get a virus. You could click a kiddies site and get one. It's all about the sites you visit and then the links you click. I run PeerBlock with full lists activated as well which is also a very good compliment. Still lets me use SAU, Facebook. Only common site i use that it blocks is GMail/Google searching. But you can just cancel specific lists if it gets too intrusive.

Garrett Medium Frame Gtx Turbos
R31Nismoid replied to SimonR32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Can't fix boost control with a keyboard! Timing has little to do with how laggy your car is mate. Timing won't make as much of a difference. If you took the reference off the actuator (holding the gate shut), i'd be surprised if you didn't see boost ramp up noticeably earlier. Obviously ONLY do this on a dyno under controlled conditions as boost will continue to spike (as the gate is 100% closed). -

Heavy Duty. Look mate sitting here posting 100 posts a night about it - it's going to fix it. Walk into AVO, ask them why boost response/setup is poor and inform them you are not happy with it and it should be more responsive. -
Garrett Medium Frame Gtx Turbos
R31Nismoid replied to SimonR32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
What controls boost? Actuator & wastegate. What else can it be on an internal gate turbo? People have GT3071's come on 800-1000rpm sooner, making the same power and are reliable as it gets. Setting up boost control on purpose to be laggy is not logical at all, so if that's whats been done then I'm shocked @ such a decision as it has nothing to do with leaning on a motor. -

How is correctly setting up boost control not wanting to push a motor? AVO realistically have done nothing special in the world of performance for many years. Least of all anything RB related. It simply comes down to poor boost control. Why a HD Garrett actuator wasn't used just like everyone else uses i don't know, but its the logical place to start. -

Both setups are pathetically laggy. Take it to another tuner IMO if thats the best they are getting. -
No business advertising unless you are a paying trader.

I was talking about his stock turbo @ 14.7psi which is beyond risky when it can kill a motor in half a second.
-
You've listed a slab of turbos that have multi 10+ page threads... Plug them into the search mate and start reading. There is plenty if info out there, it comes down to your decision. If it's budget driven then it's even easier.

Microsoft IMO have the best product out in terms of invasiveness - it simply isn't Microsoft Security Essentials. Been using it now for 18 months without an issue. Auto updates, auto scans and best of all it is not a CPU hog. I can happily use on my PC with it fully activated and running scans and notice no impact. Also uses the lowest resources of most free virus scanners. It also integrates with MS Security centre on your PC and doesn't overlap etc. Never had a false negative, never had it stop me from doing anything but then i do use my PC as an Admin given I'm Win7 Ultimate. Recently my brother actually had issues with AVG IIRC, it was stopping his utorrent client intermittently for some dumb reason. Soon as it was removed and replaced with MSE - problem gone.

I hope you realise that if your turbo lets go, and the compressor wheel disintegrates... You could potentially destroy your motor? Running that much boost it quite a risky decision if you don't intend to rebuild as it has happened before in a few instances to users on this forum. Big gamble for the sake of 3-4psi and 15rwkw or so. So with that out the way if you want the most responsive it's gotta be HKS2530 style, but limited to power. Is there a power goal or is it simply response is the ONLY desire?

Only issue is what damage was done to the red car whilst it was belted around etc. Hope you get it fully inspected, and then independently of Nissan as well. More for peace of mind in case they miss something otherwise going back to insurance after the fact might be a bit of an issue. Suppose the bonus in all of this is you'll get paid out and not have to eat the ~50k depreciation of the silver one provided they didn't stiff you on the agreed last cycle!

350rwkw = 3.5" minimum.

ACT is part of NSW, so that is one covered. NT has not official and realistically might never due to location and spread.

Wtf Oem Exedy Clutch Was Holding 300Kw?
R31Nismoid replied to boostn0199's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
It also means that if you were to get the same clutch again, it might not last the same distance/punishment -
From what I've read over the years Vitamin C doesnt make much difference until you actually get sick. Given the body just passes and excess. When you are sick then it makes a difference. I've barely been sick the past 12 months since i started eating heaps better and i don't take any additional Vit C Best thing for sinus stuff, the nasal steroids (and no, they aren't anabolic). I get massive headaches/blocks from it but i don't feel "down" as such, just can't get rid of a headache for 5 days at a time. Within 3 days of using the 1 metered dose per day, totally gone. You can also use it to counteract hayfever/allergies if you get it really bad like i do. The 2 doctors and 1 pharmasist i saw about 'extended use' over 2-3 months said it was perfectly fine due to the small dosage. I used it for 2 months last spring with awesome success for the first time in years, not one flare up the entire season.

Sau Affiliation, Club, Stickers, Branding Info
R31Nismoid replied to grandmasterb's topic in Tasmania
/Admin hat on If Christian (Prank) was contacted via PM about this he wouldn't have seen/read it. I emailed him direct, Christian gives a big YES. SAU has no issue with you blokes forming a club, using the SAU logo if you want to incorporate it into a SAU-TAS type of logo/sticker/branding etc etc. If you need anything moving forward please contact myself directly. Christian is happy to let me run/help you guys with anything you need from the SAU side. He doesn't need to be involved unless i see reason. I rarely check the TAS section but if you need me, just PM me a link to the thread and i'll do my best to 'read up' when i get a spare few mins. Good luck
