2 Way Or 1.5 Way Nismo Gt Lsd Pro
R31Nismoid replied to GTRB27's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
1.5 way here as well. Mine was on the softest setting. it was tight to start but after 1,200kms of driving and giving it a solid flogging it settled down (front settled much faster, around 400kms) and would only skip on mid level turns on concrete and in tight carpark turns. If you don't want any at all just add Penrite Friction modifier, that'll stop any chatter totally. With a Nismo front/rear - get ready for some 4WD powersliding, just have to bet into a corner & tap brakes/lift off the throttle and turn, let it glide and then stomp the pedal to the floor and have some fun f you've modified the transfer case you'll pull even harder out of the corners again. IMO after having done Transfer case then Front then Rear diffs... I'd do that again before chasing power in a GT-R, certainly made the car so much more enjoyable to take on hill runs Only problem with doing all of that is not matter how i threw the car around I could no longer get the car to do 4WD helli's like it would with stock diffs front/rear. Just something odd i noticed. -

Which Big Brake Kit
R31Nismoid replied to DaanGTR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Recently found out that new Project Mu pads don't like an old rotors (that has another brand pad material on them), makes them hard to bed. Otherwise have not heard of that before then and it was only that brand. I know people who's swapped DS3000s in for a track day and back to a shitty pad for street and it was ok so could be select situations -

The street pad they come with isn't bad for street and what they are in a standard kit form type thing. But having then changed mine to DS2500, you can certainly notice a difference/improvement in all areas... So if you are just circuit then yeah, change them. If just street duties leave them as is... Or... get a set of DS3000 or another track only oriented type pad and swap the D2 pad back in afterwards for daily driving (some people do that too) -

Loved them personally - good compromise for a car that still gets street driven. Once they are around 30-25% left they tend to break up if you hit the track or push them hard on a hills run etc so just be mindful of that, but then they are a lot cheaper than other options that don't. -
I couldn't help but wet myself with laughter when a certain good friend sent this link over... http://www.autoindustriya.com/auto-industry-news/rota-wheels-warns-against-counterfeit-products.html How quickly people forget what their own line-up is made of?

You benefit from aftermarket management/tunes with a stock turbo... So anything more than that, is most certainly going to be required.

Oh well that's a different story - you made it sound like it's spammers... It sounds like they are actual users? What is the actual issue with the PM's they are sending you? IF they are asking for help, questions or otherwise - your choice if you help them or not TBH. That's just part of being a user of the forums. Still making it a 10 post minimum won't alter that either, it'll just induce those users making 10 random posts around the place and then PM'ing you anyway. -

Just report them and we can investigate. Setting it to 10 will just mean they spam the forum to 10 posts, so it's just shifting the problem. -
Going to court is actually going to be worse TBH. The Prosecution will go you and can still impound your car as a result, given it's classified as under the Hoon Laws now (40km/h+)... So your kinda stuffed either way. Get a lawyer and talk to them. It's going to cost you 1-2k at to get a decent one for a start. Then maybe you plead to 145km/h (down from 158 so it's semi believable) but it's stil 40km/h over so you are still going to be walking. There is no way in this day and age, a Magistrate is not going to take your license and that is what the Police Prosecutor will be pushing for. Radar, Video = you've got nothing to stand on and no sop story is going to save you. If you've also ever had a previous fine, forget any leniency.
