Which Big Brake Kit
R31Nismoid replied to DaanGTR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
See I didn't mind them and I'd had DS3000 also, but then like all things - without trying 10 other types - it's hard to get an idea of if better/worse and personal preference does play a big part especially with Roy lol, he hates everything that everyone else likes -

Which Big Brake Kit
R31Nismoid replied to DaanGTR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I never ran out of brakes with DS2500 on the street with a 356mm rotor. Even on a 15min hills run... And I'm not one to take it easy -
My Rb26Dett Build 650 To 700Hp 9000Rpms
R31Nismoid replied to saulogy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Lot of pointless parts in the first post, things like the Tomei dumps, oversized valves etc. Lot of expense for no gain or even problems (Tomei crack). IMO - Do some proper research. -
^ missed earlier post... Stock cams, -5s... I went to 8,500rpm day in, day out too. Didn't nose over heavily.

RS29 is the "yellow" Pagid Paul that people speak of... Pagid make two "yellow" and the RS-19 is the lower spec of the two -
In more accurate terms - the TD06 simply will not have the airflow to hold boost, and thus torque will die and die hard. RPM and turbo selection go hand in hand. You cannot just set a RPM range and hope the turbo works within it. Same as camshafts etc. R34 N1 turbos, a more common example... From 7,000rpm onwards they will fall from 24psi down to around 17psi by 7,500rpm... By 8,500rpm you'd be lucky if you have 12psi... You're going slower than you would've if you put the car back into the meatier range so not being interested in power or torque is a bad way to go about it, without them you'll be slower More RPM, lighter/better aligned things need to be, especially in a race scenario.

For Sale - Admin Crackdown.
R31Nismoid replied to R31Nismoid's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Not going to happen. You can edit for 2 hours, that's it. It was done 5 years ago to reduce the amount of people being ripped off by scammers who'd edit their first post 2-3 days after scamming money out of 10 people... And guess what... The mass-scamming stopped almost overnight. Rarely get a complaint these days as everyone's history is viewable here on the site and scammers go elsewhere. Users help pick up dodgy traders because they recognise posts (Admin can't check every thread). So it's a big win-win despite the inconvenience. It's been discussed 100 times already in many threads, so yeah, that's how it is. Only you can see your warning (and Mod or Admin). No need to review it, sometimes people go inactive for 6-12 months, return, cause more shit etc etc. If we reviewed every warning - we'd need to charge everyone $5 a warning as it'd be a full time job -
Probably a few people from here still kicking around: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/346625-geelong-skyline-scene/page-10?hl=%2Bgeelong#entry6241349 Best keep the chat in one thread

Paul - Red R Racing - Newcastle
R31Nismoid replied to murrayis's topic in General Automotive Discussion
And the stories just keep going, and going, and going. From now on - anyone mentioning this person/buisness, who keeps doing wrong by SAU users - Will have their posts edited/hidden. Even if you try it via PM, it won't end well. We will no longer let people be screwed over, regardless of the 'fan club' that persists on here in recommending someone that just continually wrongs people. -
Noob Sau App' Question
R31Nismoid replied to matt13b's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
Must be an issue with you phones. I can log in/out no worries. It's not a user group issue, it's a app/connectivity one by the sound of it -
There is no real difference loaded up on the dyno. I've seen a back to back, graph actually looks pretty close. Same as -9s and -5s on the dyno, they don't look worlds apart in response or anything. But the difference lies in the transient response or on/off throttle on the dyno and that's where things were noticed. Also dependant on the headwork that's actually been done, that compliments the cam setup, so it's no one singular thing

^ as above. All of this has been covered before anyway. Closed.

Can You Be Defected For Having No Bov?
R31Nismoid replied to Bennis's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
lol... exactly. If in VIC - It's illegal. Depends on the state, check their legislation - but overall as it's a modification to the factory re-circ, it should be illegal in all states (unless engineers) as that's ADR level. /end thread -
+1 to using whatever your tuner says and user regularly, cause really that is what matters most.
-
It's been mentioned, many times. It's illegal in any car that came with an AIRBAG.
